Keith Sells His Television
Today I woke up at 10:00 a.m. after a graceful sleep in which I didn’t get to sleep until around 2:30 a.m. last night. From waking up I had something to eat, a shower and then I started watching television whilst mucking around on my computer. Music kept me alive for the next hour until I heard a car out the front just as I was about to check out my diary. Keith had arrived at my house but this time around I felt different, more alive, more in control, more confident to speak my word and more animated.
There was a whole world out there for me and a whole day to venture forth into it and that I did with vivacity. While seated in my room Keith told me how he was selling his television and thinking straight away of Lyssa I called her house up but the phone rang out, now I know she was sleeping. Keith also told me of how he spoke to Tamsen on the phone and she said if there was ever a chance for the both of them to get back with each other then they would have to start all over again.
From what I have seen in Keith’s expeditious getting over his three year long girlfriend I would figure that he’s lost in himself. Keith only thinks about himself and if he finds a girl then he will forget about Tamsen totally. However, if Tamsen starts to get lonely in the next month she’ll cave in and take Keith in and because he’s got nowhere else to turn to he’ll take her back and feel grateful for it.
As much as I would like to think that they will be trying to push over that coke machine, I would fare better to wish them just away from each other, in conversation and in the like of vision. Let her be off with her life as how she headed to Molly’s with the guys at her birthday party (When I was there at her house) and let Keith just be selfish and try to gain as much reward from each encounter as he can. Let him eat and let her dine eternally without him…
Ralf Calls About Big Boys Toys
The phone rang while at my house and as Ralf was on the other end we chatted for a couple of minutes. Ralf wanted to head to ‘Big Boys Toys’ in the City but I couldn’t go because it cost money and Keith didn’t want to head down. Therefore, after a couple of minutes I let Ralf get back to his getting ready. While in our conversation and Keith was chatting with Ralf there was a call on the other line, it was Shawn.
Ralf called him up minutes beforehand asking if he would like to go down but Shawn declined and then called me to see what I was doing, funny. Ralf also thought it was a crack up as he predicted it to happen but it sounded as if he was a touch cut up, like he no longer has a following.
When my conversation was finished with Ralf I called back Shawn and we planned to head over to his house to get some prints done of the poems not yet printed out and after that we were headed to Macarthur Square. Therefore, as I finished our conversation Keith brought in his television from his car just incase someone wanted to steal it and we headed off. Just a little note, Jett headed out with Ralf to the City. He was supposed to come over today but I never thought he would actually pull through.
Macarthur Square Wanderings
Heading to Shawn’s house we picked him up as his dad was on the computer and from there we made our way up to Macarthur Square. Parking caused to be a stressful hassle as the Excel whose spot we were waiting to take was taking forever. That caused a bit of a car pile up behind us as we finally parked in the area where the side door for the Cinema is, the usual spot.
When in Macarthur Square we were going to sneak into a movie but now that we’ve been caught the novelty has gone and we couldn’t be bothered. Therefore, we walked through Macarthur Square and for once I didn’t feel claustrophobic and like everyone was staring at me. For once I could walk comfortably in front of Keith and Shawn without having to feel self-conscious.
The smile was on my face through the whole day and I found that when I opened my mouth to speak it would always be worthwhile. There were heaps of good looking girls up at Macarthur Square in which I didn’t stare at them but glanced at the few did pass me. I didn’t smile at any of them directly but the smile was always on my face. Not as per usual where I would have such a stern face never cracking a smile, I was more approachable now.
Heading into Harris Scarf Keith looked around and tried on a jumper for the coming weekend. As he did Shawn and I just walked around cracking jokes as we usually do and when Keith made his way out I sprayed some ‘Chrome’ cologne on myself and we headed back out for a walk. The next store we headed to was BIG W in which Shawn pinched tube nozzles to pump up the football for tomorrow at the beach and Keith tried on some more jumpers and bought some oil for his car.
Keith had to walk through the lingerie section for women to get to the change rooms as Shawn and I stood out the front cracking jokes about his ordeal. When at the counter I bought the three-pack of film for my camera and then we headed out for a further walk towards Fun n Games. Keith started to play pinball whilst in there and hearing someone call out my name enthusiastically I noticed it was Clayton.
Clayton and the Surprise Sister
Making my way over to him with my newly high-spirited self I stood and chatted with him for a couple of minutes and in between I played a ball or two on the pinball machine. The news was that Clayton had broken up with his good looking girlfriend after seven months, Brock and his woman had their baby months ago and were living together, searching for a home loan. What spun me out was how Clayton told me that he had a half sister on his dad’s side in which she called up one day two or more months ago and uttered “Hi, I’m your sister”.
It turns out that when Clayton’s dad was 16 he had a kid and now she’s turned out to be 26 years old. If that wasn’t enough I found out that Johnnie was going out with her and she’s a young 26 and was a good looker. Clayton was also standing with a friend whom I met when I was doing work experience at his school all those years ago. We shared a couple of words as I conversed with Clayton and when all was done and I had to go we farewelled each other.
Tie Around the Hat
The next stop was Binh’s shop but before there we headed into the service station just down the road so Keith could fill up. Handing Keith back his black and purple tie I brought forward a new zany fashion. Placing the tie on the rim of my hat and making it look like I tied a bandanna around my temple I let the tie part hang off the back of my hat.
It wasn’t discernible unless you looked at it but I think it was an amusing mannerism. The plans were being set for tonight as I heard Ace, Binh, Tyler, Ned, Keith, Shawn, Ralf and two girls from Binh’s work were heading down to the new Queen Street Bar. There are some more names I haven’t mentioned but I’m not sure on who’s going so I’ll just leave that chronology to later.
Binh’s Shop and Naqi’s RX7
The jokes were still cracking at Binh’s bakery and I didn’t feel like the odd one out but in the midst of conversation. This confidence comes from the finding of my new life and it was dramatically helped by my finding work and being given a chance at greatness. Now I can hold my head up high and I don’t have to worry about meeting a woman and telling them that I’m broke and I can’t treat them to a good night out without having to sneak into something.
From Binh’s shop Keith wanted to head home so I had him drop me off at Shawn’s house so I could get the printing done. On the way we all noticed Naqi driving his RX7 and as we looked into his car with curiosity I could see his head sticking out of the half wound down window trying to see who was in Keith’s car. His curiosity I believe was to see if I was driving with Keith. Naqi’s not even supposed to be driving and I thought it was funny how he now has a license plate reading ‘I’m a 13’.
Printing Poems at Shawn’s
Arriving at Shawn’s house I didn’t lose any of my flair or confidence and kept up my energetic self. After all, it was a Saturday, I was out in the sun enjoying myself all day and I felt vibrant in being alive. Whilst I was printing out my poems Shawn in his own way worked into a sentence to give me a hint that he wanted to read my poems. Therefore, I handed them to him as he flicked through and read them. Showing him the Sonnet I wrote for the Footy Show he thought it was pretty good and coming from Shawn that is a landmark opinion.
As an hour past and I finished the printing we played two games of Madden 99 on his Playstation in which he won the first game in sudden death and then the second with a convincing score line. I didn’t care on losing as I thought the sound was great and the big screen television was also a bonus to play on. Shawn gave me a lift home around 5:30 p.m. and from there the rest of the chronology took place.
Last Thoughts Before Going Out
Now before I leave these pages and gear myself up for tonight and probably some poetry I have a couple of other things to note. Firstly, Tyler has finally hooked up with that good looking blonde and he’s going to bring her down on Sunday to North Beach for our get together. From what I hear she writes his name on all her folders and belongings at TAFE so really, it’s puppy love or sounds it to me. Nevertheless, from what I hear of this girl and her great looks, I feel that I might have to steal her on Sunday so I can take a couple of snapshots with her.
Another thing, while at Macarthur Square today I thought I had seen Caspian at Prism, the one who Lyssa was nuts over. If it indeed was him he has bushy eyebrows and he doesn’t look all that but I guess up against me he would have some distinguishable differences that would be advances in Lyssa’s book. Thirdly, I found out yesterday from reading the HIH booklet I received that HIH has its own Gym that the employees can use. That will also be a great place to meet other lady employees and build friendships and relationships through them.
On top of that I found out that HIH can also get me a better home loan and will show me leniency and privilege if I apply for one through them. Now as I leave these pages I have but one more thought to produce. When I met that lady at the lifts when heading out with Fitzroy the other day I should have uttered “I would kiss your hand but it’s against company policy, therefore, I must digress but to shake it”.
