A Weekend Worth Remembering
This weekend has been impressive where in each day I had something great to remember. I guess it goes to say that the more time taken up at work makes you work harder for a great weekend instead of being leisurely. Friday night I didn’t get to go out anywhere but I did get to write my Sonnet and I consider that a huge plus because it is so intelligible and one of my best.
Saturday night yielded to a fair and just night at the Queen Street Bar. Where the night started off uninspiring but by the end of the night, dancing on the floor and watching Ace have four girls walk up to him, I had a good night. On top of that, I got to feel like I was totally independent as Ace had me drive him home in which he then let me take his car back to my house alone.
That gave me freedom which I haven’t had before and on Sunday morning I headed to Lyssa’s house to drop off the television with Binh following me. From there we headed to Wollongong North Beach where the day started off unsettled but by the end of the night we couldn’t get enough of this relaxed Sunday. Saturday night there were girls with us and so to were there feminine traits within our ranks.
That alone didn’t make our Sunday good as we were all ourselves and didn’t try to impress any of the girls or overstep anyone. Playing Gridiron was one of the greater portions of the night as we also had a barbecue, I took my camera and Shawn took his video camera in which both were used. However, as this is only a short list of the magic of this weekend that is full-stout with ambience let me to detailed chronology.
Quads and Priorities
Just like Binh, I have priorities and as I came home tonight at 7:30 p.m. I knew I couldn’t give in to the thrill of watching the movie we had just made. The idea for Shawn to head over my house so we could tape the video and watch it or for Binh to come over with a video had to be pushed from my thoughts as I knew I had to write for two packed nights in this diary and I also knew that there wouldn’t enough time on Monday, the last day of this month.
Therefore, three hours I do have to type on this diary which I hope will be enough and from there it is time to sleep as my eyes are getting tired early from all the running around and tackling. These muscles also ache, especially the top of my Quadriceps from forcing back people like Keith in tackles. Anyway, let me get to the real dramas of Saturday night.
Jett Keeps a Promise
The night begins with my awaiting a lift from Tyler at 11:30 p.m. From what I knew of the plans, everyone was headed to the Catholic Club and a couple of hours later they were headed to the QSB in which I was getting picked up. Minutes before Tyler arrived I heard a car out the front in which it was Jett. Heading into my room to chat about my night as I was all dressed and geared up he told me how he had to come over because he had to hold a promise.
The only reason Jett was so late was because him and Ralf headed to the ‘Big Boys Toys’ exhibition. Ralf himself was waiting in the car as Jett came into my room. I’m not sure what was behind this but now I think that Ralf has a phobia of being around me because of that night when I had that massive argument with him while driving home. Since then, I feel that Ralf has been trying to avoid me but not to the extent that he will detest me.
It would seem that Ralf feels intimidated when around me because I did stamp my authority when in the midst of that argument, something Ralf hasn’t had from anyone else in this group. Ralf wanted to know what was happening for the night and as I told Jett he scooted off to the car and then heading back seconds later he uttered “Me and Ralf are going to go home now and then he’s coming over later for tonight”.
Parking Jokes With Tyler
As Jett jumped in Ralf’s car I heard them speaking to Shawn about QSB but looking out my window I couldn’t see another car. Knowing that I couldn’t possibly have been dreaming it all up I heard Tyler’s car coming down the street and then parking at the front of my house, Shawn was with him. The both of them had just been at the Catholic Club in which I heard it was a pretty good night but I stick to my guns knowing that I don’t want to be there in the same old attire.
When I finally had seen that it was Tyler’s car Shawn headed up my driveway and asked me if I was ready to head out. Tyler wasn’t too far behind him as he walked in looking spiffy, complimented me on my shirt and then without further due we headed out to his car. Heading down to Queen Street we were chatting about the night, what it was all made out to be and our thoughts upon what it would be like.
Shawn was being his usual verbal self in respect to his being flippant and as Tyler went to park his car on the road that harbors Mission Employment we told him not to. “Don’t park here” we jested, “If you park here the Pizza Shut won’t be able to get their deliveries out on time and the stock market will crash because of Australia’s deficient pizza delivering times.” “You guys are starting to make me paranoid and worried” he uttered while putting an anxious smile on his face. With these words out of jest we did speak Tyler parked his car closer to the tavern, which was less to walk.
The Golden T Goes Missing
Man, the time is 9:20 p.m. and I feel as if I have to pass out now and get myself to sleep because I can’t concentrate enough on this diary. Therefore, I will have to speak of my brilliant weekend tomorrow after work and hope I have it all finished and spoken of before this month ends. Just one thing I should add, today while I was playing Football with the lads at Wollongong North Beach I was tackled and later I found out that my chain was broken.
The chain although broken was spared but I couldn’t find the ‘Golden T’ that two people had asked me about that same day, they thought it was a star-sign for Taurus. Dreading that it would be lost forever I figured that it was the end of a tradition and a saga in my life that withstood years in this diary. My fate charm had been lost and I sat down gloomy-looking, despondent of how I had now lost my faith and my drive.
Nevertheless, Anders who has eagle eyes and never gave up helping me look for it noticed a Golden T staring at him in which he thought to pick it up. Losing my chain has happened a couple of times now and I think I’m so lucky and fateful that each time under such heavy odds I have recovered it. I have Anders to thank with my life for finding it but I won’t be able to wear it for at least one week because I won’t get properly paid until then. Therefore, in a way, a tradition has been broken but this now gives me the chance to buy a better necklace so that the tradition can go on.
