A Blank Mind and Loud Music

The mood is once again mellow, uncharted and blind to idea. The compilation of data for the sake of these diary entries is still in the gleaning process and feeling it will take at least two more full weeks of collation my poetry will suffer. So to will chronology suffer as well as all the other facets of what my original composition has been for the last couple of months when it comes to typing away in this Diary. It seems that I have lost myself and my frame of thought with the seeing of this new month. Call it misfortune if you will or call it brushing off misfortune so much that I am now light-headed to musing upon this Diary.

Whatever has caused my mind to paralyze itself from an artistic verve has caused me to use music as a healing Band-Aid. This mind is blank but it is urged to write with the music I am listening to right now. In a way this music would usually hinder my perceptive writing but one left hand causes me to use another and in turn, make those two weak hands more of a sovereign grasp.

Poetry Was Not a Phase

Poetry wasn’t a phase, all those Sonnets, those attempts of blank verse, of perfection in wording, that will still live on. The will to read more poetry or finish off reading my ‘Edmund Ironside’ annotation is not within me as I know I have to now complete the more important task, compiling data. However, it is a good thing that I have completed four Sonnets in the earlier stages of this month so part of the pressure to perform is gone.

Fate though has reared his head to place job propositions and all the hysteria that came with it. From the rubbles of that confusion I learnt what was more important but as I tried to pick up the pieces of poetry a new form of myself emerged. To write a good line of poetry has no intrigue to my mind anymore as musing is now hard to deliberate.

With my mind in such a state of arrested sleep I will still work it from behind the convicting bars, something where I do not need to free my mind in order to work it. Therefore, this data compilation is the best source of keeping my mind active while I serve my sentence to fate and prithee, fate to come home soon and set me free.

Eyeing a Rented Laptop

With the arrival of payment to my name emerging within a week I have much to look forward to again. Peeping at the inevitable future I realize that money will allow me to once again be a bit more free. With this renewed freedom for the dried up rivers of my mind which dried out slowly because of my confinement my mind will surge a second time. Hopefully the brink of this data compilation will be complete when this payment day comes so that I can anew my devotion to poetry.

However, I have learnt through reading the paper tonight that I can help along my dreams, my ambitions, my prosperity and my incline of poetry with what I have always wanted, a laptop. This dream has been looming on my mind for quite a while now but seeing that they rented laptops for $35 a week, I knew I had to delve into this new phenomenon for my thought.

Renting a laptop will allow me to define how much I would need to buy one but I know that if I rent a laptop I will fall in love with the idea and never want to let go. Just like before I bought a computer I was naïve to what it could accomplish for my life and now that I have a computer I don’t know how I survived without one.

So to will the days of a laptop prosper and top my prosperity, it will endear my endearments. Just the thought will be thoughtful and the reality, one day it will be realized. Here my feet tap to the music, my hands wave about, my dreams flutter and my thoughts waver but never away from the reality of fate and what it one day will make of my life…

Sleeping Away the Daylight

What is my life without day if I sleep away the light that fares my musing. What does my life achieve when each day of obscurity I step further and further into an eternal night, an unceasing darkness. Time itself does distort my perception as each day I spend entrapped in my accursed room. Each day I miss out on more and more with sleep and each night I devour. Today I slipped more into a life of nocturnal natures. Day seems vague to me as I never earn to see it.

For the whole morning I kept myself awake and finally slept at 10:00 a.m. Tonight I woke up at 7:00 p.m. where the night had already thrown a blanket over the world. Each day I worsen my sleeping habits and it won’t be long until the chance of seeing any daylight will be a thing of the past.

Anyway, I had something to eat, had myself a shower and then Keith decided to come over. Cussing at the thought he was once again at my house (Haven’t told the story of last night yet) I walked out the front and advised him that I had work to do on my computer. Turning back to his car he left and that was the only time and the last time tonight that I had any communion with people apart from my immediate family. Actually, to tell you the truth, I don’t even think I’ve had a chat with my parents yet.

Lyssa Stays Quiet

Lyssa and I didn’t talk today and that gives way to what I gathered would happen. My predictions were that either Lyssa would call me and not speak of what our day should be remembered for or she wouldn’t call at all and hope that I call. Either way, Lyssa would get upset if she has in fact remembered what today is supposed to be.

However, I beg not to speak so much about the topic of anniversaries as it does hold such blank clause. Therefore, let me finish by saying there hasn’t been anything happening today except for what I have described and my writing in this Diary. So with no further speaking of emotional outlay, let me to chronology of last night’s happenings after my last diary entry was finished.

Keith Begs Me Out

Now, last night after my entry I have some more chronology to speak of and in this boggled state of mind I wish that I’d already typed it but that’s not the case. Therefore, we shall begin when at 11:00 p.m. I heard a car out the front of my house and then footsteps towards my front door. Knowing that it would be Keith wanting to know if I wanted to head off to ‘Subway’ it didn’t sound like his car so I was a bit curious. Answering the door I learnt that it was Keith and Shawn and all my evaluation was on the dot but the car they were driving was Shawn’s mum’s car.

Allowing them into my room I told them of how I was working on my data compilation but Keith was far from submissive. “Come on man, come out for an hour” he begged, “We’ll go home whenever you say”. Shrewdly gathering that Keith didn’t just want to go out with Shawn and that he needed a bit of a group to have fun I knew the reason for his persistency. The computer was important but I did want to get out for the night, if only for a little while. Thus, I turned off my computer programs, turned off my amplifier and putting some shoes on we headed out to ‘Subway’.

Cards at Subway

I’m not sure what would have been more barren an amount of hours, sitting at home and compiling data or sitting at a table playing cards for two hours. Whatever is the more fruitless endeavor, I’m pretty sure that there were a couple of memorable moments last night.

Parking at the front of the store we noticed that Hamish was there for once. As Shawn jumped out of the car with his own pack of cards he uttered “He was due to be on tonight”. Once in there Hamish done what he usually does, he sat down and had a little chat with us. Keith’s little brainy plan was to ask Hamish if he would make a couple of subway sandwiches for a couple of bucks cash in hand but it didn’t happen.

Keith and His Ego

Once again, the better part (Or shall I say the lowly portion) of Keith’s ego-based character had seen him do his usual apathetic deeds. Said so many times before, Keith only cares about his own welfare. He’ll drive someone else’s car recklessly, he’ll deface anything that isn’t his, he’ll even steal something from someone else but when it comes to the same reckless attitude with his own belongings, he will tone it down tremendously. Basic rule of thumb, if it isn’t Keith’s he’ll love to abuse it and as a proverb goes “Stolen sweets are sweeter” it does justify Keith’s miserly nature.

Last night he dropped a cookie on the ground but because he knew it was Hamish’s job to clean it up later he left it there. That to me shows a defacing of decency and treating others like animals as opposed to himself. Keith is also the type of person to leave his rubbish lying on the table instead of chucking it away and as most of us tend to think about being courteous he doesn’t even think. Keith is so greedy in so much ways that I have explained and care not to explain again. You might think I gripe at his discourteous nature but what you see as civil hands I see as uncivil will.

Hamish Thinks I Am Gay

Treating ourselves to our most abused game of ‘Black Bitch’ I arrived at ‘Subway’ knowing that Hamish presumed I was gay but it didn’t help with Keith weaving his usual bullshit. Hamish got the impression I was gay because I came in that one night with my nightclub clothes and God knows what else but the truth stands that I’m the straightest guy you could ever meet. It’s not everyday where you see a guy that will whimper at the sight of passing blondes without exception and jump around with joy knowing that he’s headed to a place where women breed.

Keith was doing his usual misleading of words as he tried so much to do in the past and succeeded on most fronts. By the past, I mean when he persuaded Tatton to give him free items from his Mobil store when he worked and how he used to try and persuade us to steal oil or tires for his car when there was nothing in it for us.

In the same manner, Keith was trying hard to make Hamish believe that I was gay by continually floating gay words and terms to me in topic when it was my turn to play a card. After a while it started to piss me off when Hamish started to believe his propaganda so I stopped just being silent and I started to get a bit frustrated in words. It pretty much stopped after that.

Ice-Cream and Hot Chips

Paying for an ice-cream with the little touch of money that I had left Keith thought to have a little whinge. “Come on man, you had money to buy some of that ice-cream, why don’t you buy us some hot chips” he blurted.

Shawn had bought himself a subway sandwich and he thought not to say anything then so I gathered it was a personal vendetta. Explaining to him that he earned $500 and I earned nothing he soon shut his mouth knowing that my making fun of him would eventually do it.

The first couple of games where we played ‘Black Bitch’ were won by me but the second half was a tossup between Shawn and Keith for the title. Hamish played two hands with us and then around 1:00 a.m. he left when his parents picked him up to take him home.

Blocking the Exit

With this newfound freedom Keith thought to head to the toilet to do his deed and as he did I shuffled the cards for another game.

Feeling the need to cause some fuss and to have some fun I walked into the toilet area to find that Keith was sitting in the disabled toilet. As amusing as his idiosyncrasy was I knocked on his while hiding out of his view and to my amusement the door opened a fair way. Huffing and puffing for a couple of seconds in humiliation he closed the door and then I walked to the exit passing Shawn along the way.

Not having finished my pranks yet I picked up a pot plant and placed it in the exiting doorway. This caused me to pick up another pot plant and place it on the other edge of the door so someone would definitely have to move something. As Shawn made his way out he easily made his way through but as we looked at each other we spontaneous let out a laugh.

Picking up some fairly large gas containers (Sort of like the ones we used to make at Martinson Engineering) Shawn and I trapped the exit with four of the larger ones. This caused us to laugh hysterically for the couple of minutes that Keith was still sitting in the disabled toilets. When Keith finally made his way out we let out a big roar of laughter as he had to move some pots out of his way. Everything at the doorway was left how it was and I wanted to jump up and put everything back so we wouldn’t get kicked out next time around but we left it.

Cola Everywhere

Foolery became evident in our games after that incident as Shawn was doing his usual cheating and Keith was having his usual whinge about it. There I sat as the equilibrium of laughter but I too was to be caught in the mayhem and eventually cause the ending of our commotion. The way I think it happened was that I was snapping at cards from Shawn’s hand while he was dealing them out and as one landed on the table in the middle of the both of us we both thought to go for it.

Slipping equally from our hands as we tried to grasp it we both held a corner and trying to yank it across the table we hit his newly filled large cup of coke. Our reaction to get our hands and bodies out of the way as the cup coasted over the side and off the table was nimble. It seemed to take the cup a fair while to actually fall to the ground and splash coke all over the floor but Shawn and I moved our hands very quickly out of the way and then we pulled out chairs out of the way just in time.

Both of us had a huge laugh at this as we only got droplets of coke on our hands from its falling. The card we were fighting over fell into the coke on the ground because I let it go in the haste to retreat but that didn’t bother the humor of the situation. This pretty much was the end of the night as we didn’t want to stick around for the blame of spilt coke and gas containers blocking the toilet.

Home to More Data

On the way home Keith was showing his usual temperament by wanting us to head out and steal oil. He tried to protest that he wasn’t going to make us do it but rather, he was going to steal the oil himself. I found that very hard to believe as I know what Keith’s gluttony of other people to do his dirty work is capable of.

Arriving home at 2:00 a.m. I spent the rest of the time on my computer compiling that same data I will be working on tonight. Actually, tonight I will be checking all the spelling and grammar throughout my whole Diary starting from when it originated. When this is done I will work out how much chronology, philosophy, poetry and emotional bias is shared between the whole of my diary entries.
