Back Day and a Secret Friday Plan (Part 2) – Mad Chaos: February 19, 1999

A Quiet Wednesday at Home

Jumping off the phone that Wednesday afternoon I had myself something to eat, had a shower and then sat outside for a short while soaking in the sun. For the whole of Wednesday I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary and no one rang me. However, Lyssa went out for Janice’s birthday to some restaurant and I tried calling her house around 8:30 p.m. but she was obviously out. For that reason Lyssa and I didn’t get to talk until around 10:00 p.m. and even then we only chatted for a short time before Lyssa had to get to sleep.

Just as a reminder to chronology, Jett stayed over Tamsen’s house on Wednesday night and because Tamsen’s parents were out for the week they had sex for the night. Keith invited me to the house by phone and Shawn came up to my door as Jett, Min-Su and Tamsen were in the car but I had my dinner ready, my computer waiting for me to type upon it and Lyssa to speak to on the phone.

Trouble at Simon's House

Shawn, Keith and I were going to play cards for a couple of hours and then we were all going to leave Jett and Min-Su alone but obviously I wasn’t there for all the juicy details. It’s a good thing also that I wasn’t there because in the morning when Jett was getting picked up and Shawn was also in the car Keith and Shawn were speaking of robbing Simon’s house in front of Jett and he just blurted out “Alright, I’m in, let’s do it”.

With that Keith dropped off the both of them at Simon’s house and stuck around long enough for them to open Simon’s car which was left there. They started the car up and drove it to the backyard where the both of them broke into the backdoor that was already partially open.

Simon was out with Magnus for the day and Lucas was still at work in these earlier hours of the day. For a depth analysis of the robbery, they stole the televisions, video, Playstation, Nintendo, 100’s of CD’s and on top of all the white goods in the house they stole the car with a six stacker CD player, an amp and the rest that comes with it. This was all done early on in Thursday and to now, no calls have been received by a duped Simon.

A Song Stuck in My Head

Before I begin upon Thursday being the day in question I just want to clear one thing about a song that I’ve had in my mind for the past couple of days. I’ve tried to note the lyrics in my Diary before but now I know exactly what the song is called and even though I don’t know who sings it I have the words to the lyrics.

Turning on my radio randomly to see if it was on I listened to a song by South Park and then just as I turned the amplifier off I turned it back on straight away. Hearing a distinct noise that I thought was the song I turned it back on and was amazed that my song was playing.

For that reason and with my computer still on right now I paused from my dairy and started to record it with the microphone. The recording was utter shit and only treble but it’s enough to keep me sane for a couple of days and to write down the lyrics in this diary for future use. By the way, the song is actually called ‘Hit me babe one more time’ not what I previously thought.

My loneliness is killing me,

Thursday at the Movies

Thursday, my day began as told, Keith called me around 2:00 p.m. and upon telling me the story of the breaking in he came to pick me up. The only people to date that know about this break in are Shawn, Jett, Keith and I, we are the fab four of secrets. Heading to Macarthur Square we were supposed to wait around for an hour or two so the both of them would finish the job and then they were to dump the car in the car parking spots at Macarthur Square.

The white goods were all to be loaded into Simon’s car, taken to Jett’s house for storage and then up they would head to dump the car. Heading up into Greater Union we snuck into ‘Waterboy’ and found it funny how there was no one in there at all, just Keith and I.

Receiving a phone call ten minutes into the movie I found it was the both of them, they were already up at Macarthur Square. Meeting up with the both of them at Fun n Games we headed back to the car chatting about what they had done and jumping into Keith’s car I was dropped off at home. Hearing that there was also a Nintendo at Jett’s house I thought it would be a good idea to use that in my plans and thus, that’s why I went out to acquire it.

A Phone Call Gone Wrong

The day kept spending itself and then around 5:40 p.m. as I was about to head for the Gym I received a call from Lyssa. Wanting to know how she got home so quick from work I didn’t really ask because she almost instantly received a call for call waiting. There I waited for a couple of minutes and then finally getting tired of waiting I hung up the phone.

After ten minutes of waiting I made my way to the Gym to complete my workout but coming back and ringing Lyssa I realized that it was Carleigh on the phone. Not only that but giving the phone to Kuper the two of them chatted for half an hour and basically ignored Lyssa’s plight to get back on the phone and use it.

That really is rude of her brother and it pissed me off how he was complacent in not allowing Lyssa to use the phone as she was beforehand. Selfish would be the word to use for him second to the likes of egotistic, unrefined and ill-mannered. If I was Lyssa I would have disconnected the phone altogether but then she wouldn’t have been able to defend herself like me if she was confronted by her brother. Anyway, let me include my Thursday workout.

Back and Triceps at the Gym

Back: Beginning with my two minute warm-up I started some stretching exercises and then began on my normal routine. Starting with Neutral Grip Pull downs with 160 pounds I managed 12 reps out of that. Moving to Close Grip Lat Pull downs with 160 pounds I also managed 10 reps out of this. Next was Reverse Grip Lat Pull downs and with 170 pounds I performed 8 reps and then pausing I completed a further 4 reps. Fourth on the list was Lat Pushdowns and with 240 pounds I completed 15 reps. Following this I completed a set of 12 reps with Straight Arm Pull downs and 70 pounds.

Moving now to the broadening aspect of back workouts I started with Seated Cable Rows and after a warm-up completed 10 reps with 160 pounds, first time. Moving to One Arm Cable Rows I loaded it up to 80 pounds and getting a firm grip on the ground completed 12 reps per hand. Next was One Arm Dumbbell Rows and starting with 80 pounds I had a hard time on the grip and on concentrating but I completed a set each hand of 10 reps. Next was 70 pounds and with that also, 10 reps. Lastly I completed a set of Cable Upright Rows with 70 pounds where I completed with fair ease, 10 reps.

Triceps: Beginning with a warm-up I made my way to Triceps Pushdowns and with a newly sought 85 pounds I performed 12 reps. Next was Lying Triceps Cable Extensions and with a new 70 pounds I also created 10 reps. Moving now to Overhead Dumbbell Extensions with 70 pounds again I completed 9 reps with a spotter but could have done much more. Lastly, one set of Bent Over Machine Overhead Extensions that are sort of like the Dumbbell version but I could only use 65 pounds for 10 reps.

Abdominals: Somewhat different but as intense as my last workout for abs I started with Machine Ab Crunches using 40 pounds for 30 reps. Taking the weight up to 50 pounds I created another 30 reps and then paused. Moving to Low Ab Crunches I completed a set of 15 reps and a consecutive 10 reps waiting for the machine again. Finally getting back onto it I could only complete 15 reps with 40 pounds making it a complete 100 reps for abdominals.

Haggling Over a Nintendo

Talking to Jett at the Gym I knew I could depend on him to inform me that he would have no problems giving me the Nintendo. Advising him that it would be for Lyssa and it would be at her house he had no problems with giving me the console as long as Shawn came to the same agreement. Now there’s the problem, Shawn. Being the greedy boy he is and not taking into consideration that he’s stolen from my house, my helping him once with the keycard scam and me giving him my old video collection to split with Tatton, I think I’m entitled to more than just a quick cash deal.

Jett has already been persuaded to give it up for free but Shawn wants money for it and he’s tried to inform me that he’s already got a bidder for $100. As far as I know, he hasn’t had the time to look around for a bidder because he’s only been to Jett’s house and with Keith so who wants to buy it, maybe Keith, maybe some figment of his imagination to try and bribe more money from me.

An Argument About Friday

Getting back home from the Gym I had something to eat and thinking I would call Lyssa soon she called me. The time was around 8:00 p.m. when Lyssa called to talk to me and as I explained to her I couldn’t be with her for Friday she started getting angry with my decision.

Lyssa was getting more angry of the fact I couldn’t tell her my secret. Because I’m not going to be with Lyssa on Friday night we were harsh in talking to each other and the only reason we kept talking to each other because I was taking it and Lyssa was being inquisitive in continually asking what the secret was. The conversation ended with Lyssa’s selfish anger to blame but I didn’t mind.
