A Second Sonnet Begins

Wednesday 8:27 a.m.

Once again poetry has flowed in my veins and here, I chose to start over with a new entry as it will be more apportioned. This Sonnet as I expected has come to me at a time of high inspiration and as I noted in my last entry, I wrote two lines that greatly inspired me to continue my poetical venture. Those two lines were the two beginning lines of the next Sonnet and because they are both eleven syllables each I have had to lengthen each line to that proportion in my Sonnet.

This poem is effective with my last minute inspiration to come up with a plot but I am content to advise that it doesn’t top the preceding poem. Instead, a poem of greater proportion in each line and a valorous significance. You see, I have taken on the role to speak of Norse mythology as I have already known of and so read tonight.

There are some lines based on what I have read and newly learnt, some augmented lines previously philosophized and the rest is of my sound knowledge and poetical inspiration. The poem in basic terminology is branded as the eyes and ears to the gateway of Norse heaven, Valhalla. The rest I shall to you leave to read as for now, I shall to the hindmost attend of this Sonnet to speak of it.

Valhalla in Verse

That with brave wings hath flown, perched and conquered,

These miniscule rodents are time’s tethered teeth,

That scurry and chew on his sequestered brow,

And should time stray, shall call him a hero’s thief,

These Odin’s fearless, that makes slain of them prow,

With this brave sword from scabbard seized shall as strike,

They shall with their worth to Valhalla present,

Valkyrie shall felled pluck and with them take flight,

That to Valhalla shall tethered they attend,

With walls of gold and a roof of battle shields,

That held by shined spears didst away with sun’s gleam,

Henceforth they would feast then ride out to the fields,

Where’t would fill skaldic rhymes and tender Norse dreams,

For the halls of the slain are to Asgard kept,

Where only the gallant shalt his doors accept,

A Word Called Tether

In all honesty, I have no clue how I came up with the word tether but I’m glad it suddenly sprung into my vocabulary. It’s funny how that sometimes happens, you just dream up a word and suddenly it is significant to your purpose. Tethered actually means to be chained on a leash and I’ve used it once before in mid 1998 to explain my exhausting walk with Lyssa where we tethered onto each other but never after this has it been used. Strange as it is my Sonnet has been told and thanks to this newly found word, I shall with it conquer many more literature to come.

Checking the Biorhythm Charts

Isn’t it funny and zestful how with each new Sonnet I either come up with a new word, a new philosophical slant on a phrase or a bettered Sonnet through practice. I strive for excellence and I do think that I am getting it with these latest Sonnets that have got me out of the red and once again increase my faith on the Biorhythm Cycles. Speaking of Biorhythm Cycles, I must now attend to them in my Diary so that all can be aware how I should be feeling in all aspects. As the time ticks now closer to 9:00 a.m. I shall soon be getting off in hopes that I won’t wake up too late today.

A Job Dreams Are Made Of

This Diary is truly my unconditional workmanship where I prize with my presence time after time. You see me here still after eight hours and has there been one complaint about what I love to do, nope. This, if I could call it my job is what dreams are made of, to be able to speak my word and make it word of speech.

My dreams to your eyes and then shall your ears,

Anon, they whisper my workings to peers.

You see, another monumental perception of how I shall bring out my literary dreams from here when you read them with your eyes. In time your ears will be with my knowledge and they will whisper my workings to equals that will fathom my workings of one man. I shall now for sleep’s sake be off and end a good night of poetical verse but it can only get stronger by tomorrow.

Before I leave I will just note that on the last Sonnet involving Valhalla, in line (16) ‘Worth’ represents death. So, the Norse warriors that want to be accepted into Valhalla shall first have to do and with their death and prow (meaning valiant nature, brave, short for prowess) shall they be accepted.
