Meeting the Culprit

Heading down another main road that connects to both sides of St. Johns road we were nearing the closer part of St. Johns road when I noticed a girl placing a piece of red crepe paper on a tree, we had our culprit. Looking at her from the distance she didn’t look to be on the fit or healthy side and seeing her reaching up the a higher part of a tree with her cut-off pants and some black garment sticking out all messed up that looked like gone-wrong underwear, it wasn’t a pretty sight.

You know that orchestra you hear when approaching closer to what you think could be a romantic find and then to suddenly hear an abrupt cutting of the music or the emptying sound of a bagpipe when seeing much less than hoped, that was how I felt. The thought of thanking her had slowly started to slip in my mind and with her back to us tying up her crepe paper I even though to turn up a side street but we kept going until we were right next to her.

Meeting Rochelle on the Roadside

Slowly she turned around before we were upon her to see if I was walking in the distance and then when we were right upon her she looked within the car. Surprised as she was her eyes lit up and mine regressed knowing that I had to jump out of the car and thank her for a kind gesture. Yes, it was Rochelle and on top of that I noticed what I had noticed two years ago when seeing her on the street, little kids walking around her, making noise, you know, what kids do.

This to me was a complete no-no and I kept thinking of what it would have been like for Imad having sex with Pippa and all her kids around. Now if it was someone like Faith I probably would have been able to bear it but Rochelle’s kids were all scrappy looking. They had dirty faces but the pleasing thing was they weren’t little brats, they were just little kids being kids.

A Kiss and an Invitation

Kissing Rochelle on the cheek as if by nature made an oath with me I thanked her for what she had done. The two older kids who were around the age of two were looking at me with an invisible grin but I knew behind their gazing eyes they were thinking “Mummy’s tried very hard to get you and here you are, this is funny Mr. future daddy”.

Taking a step back I tried to flow with encouraging words but I had to work for what I had to say, it just didn’t come naturally with Rochelle. Rather, the situation embarrassed me close to a humiliation feeling and knowing she wasn’t very attractive at all but also knowing she was eyeing me as if she wanted to eat me was less gratifying.

“Would you like to come over my house” she asked, “I can give you some coffee”. Knowing that I had to pay her some respect for the gesture I accepted, as her house was only a short walk away. Speaking to Ralf in the car as she started walking her pram and two little kids I asked Ralf to stay and in my mind, I was begging. Ralf agreed to stick around and that got me out of trouble, or at least from her pinning me up on the wall if we were all alone and trying to get her Valentines gift out of my pants.

A Tour of the Messy House

Walking into her house as Ralf jumped out of the car she invited the both of us in. Taking his time as he usually does I was shown around by Rochelle from room to room and noticing each room on her rented housing commission house on St. Johns Road in Airds I began to notice it was messy. To explain this more, the rooms were dismal and in effect, they were dormant and lifeless. Because the house was from Airds and she was renting the meager fiberglass house it was nothing at all to look at. The room where Ralf and I sat in was also intrepid against cleanliness.

As we sat on her couches that were pretty dirty, she brushed off the top of the sofa she was sitting on of sand. The kids were jumping around and making a fool of themselves and her and the only way she got rid of them was to give them some ice blocks and let them sit outside. In my mind I was thinking that she could have made an effort to clean the house if she was thinking of impressing me as I would have tried my best but everything looked as if she hadn’t picked it up for a week. If Rochelle thought she was going to impress me, she was sadly mistaken.

Wearing my black singlet and Adidas pants with my hat I thought I looked fairly presentable and for that I was getting looks from Rochelle as if to say she wanted to throw me against the wall and fuck me ragged. I was hoping on Ralf to keep the conversation going as he loves to talk and it was a godsend that I brought him with me as that did happen.

The only conversation apart from her boyfriend who abused their relationship and her kids being messy was that of school at Airds, something we all had in common. For the hour and a half we spent there trying to get out we chatted about who we knew that each of us knew and depended on that to keep the conversation alive. At no time did I make it clear or even remotely vivid to her that I had any liking of her but I guess she would have taken my gesture to head to her house as a good sign.

How She Found My Address

From our conversations I also found out that Rochelle went to everyone to try and get my number but the best she could do was get my address from Maura. Rochelle tried Leopold, Barnaby and others but she finally had to come across Maura who drove her to my house that Sunday afternoon. It’s obvious that Maura didn’t have any faith that Rochelle could lure me because she high tailed her way out of there before she could even say hello, Rochelle really has some balls, no really, she does, I saw them.

Rochelle brought me a drink from the kitchen as I asked for some cordial but I wasn’t sure whether to trust her drinking water or not. I chose to trust it but the drink she brought out was different to anything I’d ever had before, some kind of watered down Pepsi cordial. It didn’t appeal to me at all and tasted somewhat like dry ginger beer but I drank most of it and then watched one of the little kids jump on Ralf.

That was funny but what was more of a chuckle was when he tried to tell the kid to go do something else. Every time she would walk out of the room I would nudge Ralf as if to say “What trouble have I gotten us into now” and as it started to get dark I thought to make my move.

Slipping Out in the Dark

Besides all the weird stuff I had seen I thought it was weird how it was getting dark but she wasn’t turning the lights on. This girl’s dead broke. On top of that I was just thinking to myself how loose she would be because of the kids and how she kept looking at me every ten seconds probably wanting to devour me. Finally as she walked into the bathroom it gave me enough time to talk with Ralf and jumping up I informed her I was leaving.

Walking into the bathroom I thought it to be polite to give her another kiss on the cheek so she wouldn’t get upset with her night’s plans going wrong and then I was out of there. As soon as I was in the car I breathed a sigh of relief, I was glad I was out of that house and out of her grasp. I didn’t find her attractive in the slightest degree of attractiveness. She was on the short end of the stick of visual offensiveness and the long end of the stick for repulsiveness.

A Pact With Ralf

Driving home Ralf and I shared our thoughts about the last couple of hours and made a vow never to spread any word to the people we call our acquaintances. Thus, this would become a secret between Ralf and I, one that would inevitably be enlarged on Tuesday and then for today which has now passed onto another day. Once back home I thanked Ralf once again for helping me out and keeping that oath between us I made my way to my room.

Lyssa and Her Phone Trouble

Now I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before but Lyssa’s phone now has a tendency to show the phone is ringing on my end but never ring on hers. So, on occasion I’m suckered into thinking that Lyssa isn’t home when really, the phone is just stuffing up. Lyssa doesn’t want to replace the phone because she thinks that it will cease the scam that she has with the phone so far but I beg to differ. I believe the problem isn’t in the phone itself but within the phone company’s records or in one of those phone boxes on the streets.

Lyssa complained that her phone was being rented and that she didn’t want to exchange the phone anyway because Telstra would have to take back the old phone and she thinks they would find out. As I tried to make sense out of Lyssa’s allegation that she was renting a phone I found that hard to believe and as Lyssa tends not to think properly and with common sense about a subject, I pried.

Like the time that I asked Lyssa to place the portable phone on line so that we could talk in her phone and when asking her to recharge the battery she did so. Well, the base plugged into the socket and the handset was the actual thing that had to get charged up but Lyssa’s blonde showed through when she thought she didn’t have to put the receiver on the base to charge it.

This goes to show that Lyssa can be wrong at times and as Lyssa informed me that they paid $45 to rent the phone I gathered they could just buy a phone every year for that money and it would be a waste of time. Lyssa then asked her mum what the money went to and as I figured, the money went to line charges. Neither Lyssa or her mum want to take the phone off or attain an new one because they are afraid they will lose all of the scam that comes with it but I believe it to be changeable.

Movie Night Gossip

Lyssa also informed me while talking to her on the phone that Sunday night that both her and Nikita were at the movies. Not sure of what movie they watched I heard of how some guy that usually lets them in for free done so again. Then, I also heard how he liked Nikita and he tried to get onto her at Ettamogah Pub and he started on her but she just pushed him away.

This girl’s really got some problems when it comes to her well being, she’s all upside down in her ways. Despite this rejection the guy didn’t hold a grudge on either of them and thus, he let them in for free. I’m pretty sure they both watched ‘Very Bad Things’. Other points of conversation were loosely about our hiring a hotel room within a month, the Nintendo night in about two weeks time and when we were going to see each other next. Lyssa was all intent on seeing me on Friday and was hoping that I wouldn’t make plans for the Friday coming up because she was intent on being with me.

Lyssa had nothing to do for this Friday coming up but I wasn’t sure if anything was happening for my weekend out and thus, I had to wait to see. Our conversation ended around 9:30 p.m. and we talked probably for half an hour or more. From there I started to watch television and then started in my Diary until it was time to get to sleep so I could wake up early for Monday morning in the City.
