Gridiron Magazines on Queen Street

Getting myself a drink from one of the supermarkets I came out only to see Tatton and Shawn. They informed me that they were just headed to a newsagent looking for a certain Gridiron magazine. It seems that Shawn now likes Gridiron and Tatton has been trying to get a team going where Tyler wants to be in on it. It seems that making a team is a fad these days where Keith gave it a go with Cricket and now Ralf is trying to give captaining a go.

Anyway, I followed them up Queen Street as we headed into the newsagent to look for such a magazine. They didn’t find any Gridiron magazines but I noticed an Audio Engineering Magazine that I found very interesting as well as the ‘Maxim’ magazine that really lives up to its name with the amount of pages it has. Heading out of the newsagent I informed them that it was my time to head home.

Before I left Tatton informed me that he had bought a Nintendo 64 for Christmas for his family. Rather, he bought it so he could reap some rewards upon it and he was going to buy John Madden Gridiron 99 for Nintendo. Shawn sounded as if he wanted to come over and play at my house and I said that would be alright but they never ended up calling. For their Monday night they were supposed to head to their Cricket game, I guess they had done that.

A Lift From Eric

On the way home in the heat I started to get a stomach ache and I feared that I would start aching more profusely as I got closer to home. The pain in my stomach was getting to the point where it would start to bother me but I prayed that someone would come and pick me up and guess what… Passing the roundabout near Kieran’s and Devon’s house I hear a beep and then a familiar face.

It was Eric, my brother’s best friend Eric. Driving to the front of me he asked if I wanted a lift and I agreed. There was this old lady that was stopped because of where Eric parked and as she tried to complain Eric just toyed with her. She was grateful that she could stop and have a breather and he was just grateful that she wasn’t a usual old lady to complain.

Stories About My Brother

Dropping me off at my house it seemed that we had a lot to talk about as he turned off his car and we sat out the front of my house chatting. He informed me how he was thinking about coming up to the house and just saying hello to me a couple of weeks but he never did get around to it. We chatted about how he visited Queensland and how it is the best life up there. He commented on the girls up there and I told him how Ralf was up there and his story.

We chatted about his buying cars at bargain prices, fixing them up and selling them for profit and how he’s saving up to buy a house around the Campbelltown area. There was chat about Campbelltown becoming bigger than the City in ten or more years and how the guys from up the street that lived near stony’s house all had Aids. We chatted about Lyssa and how long I had been with her, how his dad was looking for a concreter and how his dad hasn’t found a good long worker since my brother worked for them ages ago.

My brother, that was also a topic amongst itself as Eric sounded proud to talk of my brother and ask how he is doing now. He told me how my brother saved his life once and how they were both great fighters back in the day. How Eric (The one in the car) was beaten up by about 20 people from Claymore Romper-Stomper style in Campbelltown Mall.

All of Eric’s friend’s had turned the shoulder and walked away but as Eric was passing out on the ground and almost dying my brother came out of nowhere and took them all on. He took them all on and beat all the thugs from Claymore to save Eric on the ground that was profusely bleeding. “If it wasn’t for your brother I would probably be dead now" Eric commented.

Then there was the times where the both of them would fight back to back against large odds and through the slaughter they would yell out to each other “Eric, Eric.” My brother was the only one who would ever back up Eric and be his best and loyal friend and they treated each other with the greatest respect. Our conversation lasted for twenty or more minutes and when our chat was over I jumped out and headed home.

Fate Likes Pairs

Today I noticed Eric once again as I was heading to Campbelltown to get my chain fixed and I think it’s funny how fate works. I truly believe that fate works in pairs and if you think about it that is usually right. How much times have you seen someone or done something you don’t usually do only to see or do the same thing the next day. There has been times when I would think to myself “God, I haven’t spoken to this person for such a long time” then the next day I would see them.

Not only that but the day after or shortly after I would see them again and would think, what are the chances of that. But, after this double sighting you usually never encounter the same experience again and that person you haven’t seen for yonks will be just that once again. Anyway, once I got home I had to get myself prepared for the Gym so here I am to write about that before I forget or fall asleep.

Crowded Gym Session

The Gym started around 6:00 p.m. for me and it was so populated that I could hardly use a machine that I wanted to use. For that reason my workout took a little longer than usual and I didn’t get to use the machines I would normally use but because I used Dips and some other exercises I don’t usually use my body aches. My Chest is killing, my back also has some pain (Probably from Dips) and even my Biceps register some good hurt. Anyway, here is the analysis…

Chest: Starting with a warm-up on normal Peck Deck and then some Incline Dumbbell Fly’s I made my way to Dips for my first real set of 15 reps. Finding no machine readily available I continued with another set of 12 reps. Moving now to Seated Machine Press with 180 pounds I managed a skillful 8 reps out of this without any injurious cries from my Chest. It feels as if the pain is almost gone from pain’s threshold. Taking the weight down to 160 pounds I performed another strong 9 reps before conking out on the tenth.

Moving now to Peck Deck Fly’s I pushed the weight up to 160 pounds and for 8 reps did my hands touch. Moving now to assisted Dips with 30 pounds assistance I performed 8 more reps. Moving to Incline Dumbbell Fly’s with 50 pounders I completed only three reps before changing to a pressing motion for three more reps. This exercise to me was useless so I walked over to Cable Crossovers. Placing the weight to 50 pounds I found it laborious to complete 10 reps. Now bending over with 60 pounds I found it even harder and completed 9 reps.

Biceps: Moving straight to Cable Preacher Curls after no warm-up I placed the weight upon 50 pounds and with that I completed 10 very stressing reps. It was as if all the people taking up my machinery had made me all the more hungry to perform and maybe that’s why I performed so well. Moving now to Preacher Dumbbell Curls I tried with a 40 pound dumbbell but I had to replace it for a lighter 35 pounds to complete 9 reps per hand.

Moving now to Standing Cable Curls I loaded the weight to 65 pounds and managed only 6 reps. Taking the weight down to 50 pounds I managed 6 more reps. Moving to Concentration Curls with 25 pounds I performed 12 reps per arm. Lastly, I performed a set of Reverse Cable Curls with 50 pounds for 10 reps.

Abdominals: Performing 30 reps on Ab Crunches moving from side to side on many of these I paused for a rest. Making my way to Machine Ab Crunches I loaded the bench up with 40 pounds to perform 30 more reps. Panting for breath at this point I moved back down to Low Ab Crunches to perform 20 reps.

Finally Off to Bed

Now the time is 5:21 a.m. and this is by far the latest I have stayed up for a fair while so I will get to sleep now and talk of the rest of Monday when the time is right. Today when I wake up I will head to the Gym and do my back workout and watch myself grow when I get back home. When I wake up my parents should also have gone shopping and considering that there is nothing left in the fridge to eat that can be a very good thing.

Valentines Day Wondering

One more thing I just remembered. The 21st is almost upon us and if you are an avid reader of this Diary you will know what this means but I don’t know if it will even be remembered by the opposite party or if I will remember it on the day. Another thing before I sign off, Lyssa was speaking to me about Valentines Day tonight and how her friends are all getting gifts ready now. I’m not sure if that was meant to say anything but I wonder if Lyssa is thinking of sending me anything for that day…
