Pinball Then Ace

Meeting Keith at Fun n Games he finished up playing the pinball machines and then we headed to his car. Our next destination was Ace’s house where Keith had to pick up a present for his dad from him. Ace was in his backyard on such a hot sunny day and as we walked out there with him I was greeted by his dog with a spiked collar around his neck, yep one of those fat mutts. Ace wanted to take off his jeep’s roof top for the beach tomorrow and with that he asked if I wanted to go.

Already having had plans to head for the beach I happily obliged and then gave him my number on a notepad of his. Keith also included himself in on the actions and as it was hot outside we headed indoors to get ourselves some drinks. Once again I was inspired by the divinity of his house, how the colors didn’t contrast and it smoothed out a harmonic trance to your presence. Ace took me into one of his rooms asking me if I liked Indian stuff and while there he showed me a collection he had brought from his sister who was into it.

A Room Of Curiosities

Ace was trying to sell it off but the only things I liked in there was a stick with feathers on it and a sealed plastic cylinder with a real tarantula and scorpion battling it out in there, dead but glued on. Ace pulled out some Hawaii shirts for sale as Keith walked in the room and I noticed a huge array of supplements in his wardrobe that Ace doesn’t use anymore and that are waiting to be used.

The Video Room

Next the three of us walked into Ace’s video room where a whole bookcase shelf stacking near to the roof had bought movies. Trilogies such as star wars, Rambo, the godfather and the rest of them, there was a great amount there. What brought more life to the room was the 101 Dalmatians framed poster on the wall where they are all sitting by the fire.

Just before Keith and I left we made arrangements to head for the beach at 10:30 a.m. and it sounded like a sure fire plan but later in the day Ace called Keith and informed him that he got the job he had applied for a day or two earlier and they wanted him to start the next day as a brick laborer.

Burgers And Library Books

Next stop was Tatton’s work at Mobil and while we were there Keith bought a burger for himself and shouted me one. Gladly taking it we talked to Tatton for a couple of minutes and then headed off. The last stop before I was dropped off home to head for the Gym was to the Library and while there I decided to borrow five books based on Shakespeare. Even though I couldn’t find a book that had forms of poetry I could use and explanations of them I found five great books mainly with Sonnets in them and one of Shakespeare’s Love Poetry.

That took us about ten minutes to look for my books as Keith trudged around not wanting to be around books, loathing the idea of reading. When Keith dropped me off at home we made plans to see ‘Saving Private Ryan’ at Macarthur Square where I would call him later in the night with session information. Having some more Creatine I had something quick to drink then headed for the Gym, here is my workout…

Back Day Workout

Back: Starting with my two minute warm-up I moved onto my first exercise of the day. Having done my stretches I began with Neutral Grip Lat Pulldowns and with only 40 pounds I performed 25 reps. My first real set was with Close Grip Lat Pulldowns and with 140 pounds I easily performed 10 reps.

The Creatine was surely pumping and as I placed the weight up to 90 pounds (On the harder machine which feels heavier but is lighter) and being my heaviest weight to date I chiseled out 10 reps with no jerking problems. Pausing for a minute or two I picked that weight up again but this time I was stopped short to 7 reps because I started to feel the same pain in my Chest when I thought I could have torn it on Chest training.

This was alarming to have this tendon pain as I thought I was going to tear it somewhat so I eased off undue pressure. Jumping onto the other version of Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns I used 140 pounds for 8 reps then placed the weight down to 120 pounds quickly to finish off 4 reps. Moving to Close Grip Lat Pulldowns I once again used 140 pounds and upon completing 10 grueling reps I placed the weight down to 120 and once again completed 4 reps.

Now it was time for deepening exercises for the back, not widening. Starting on Seated Cable Rows with 140 pounds I performed 10 reps with nominal pressure and pausing for a couple of minutes I done it all again with 120 pounds. My last two sets were on One Arm Dumbbell Rows and with a 70 pound dumbbell I performed two sets of 10 reps with each arm to finish off my back workout.

Triceps And Abs

Triceps: Starting with a warm-up on Triceps Pushdown I placed the weight up to 70 pounds (Once again a new record weight) and pounded out 12 arduous but moderately easy reps. Taking in a lot of water as I usually do at the bubblers in Olympus Gym I continued on my second set with the same weight and found it extremely profitable and hard bringing out 10 reps.

Moving to Overhead Dumbbell Extensions (Or you might call them Dumbbell French Press) I started with 55 pounds and conked out with the problem of getting the weight from behind me to in front of me on the 9th rep. Placing the weight down to 40 pounds I performed 10 more reps to finish my Triceps.

Abdominals: Once again, the fun started here and with much to achieve and gain I started with 30 pounds resistance. For three slow rep sets I pounded out 30 reps each feeling the burn on every rep each time I crouched inward. My last set was the hardest I’ve ever placed the weight and with 90 pounds resistance added I completed 20 very hard reps.

Hands Full Of Callus

Weighing myself after the workout I was surprised and content about weighing 80 Kilo’s further increasing my pride that I’m growing in proportion. Coming home I had myself some more Creatine and then looking at the state of my hands I realized how hard I had worked out. Never before have I had this much callus on my hands let alone any at the end of most workouts but today at three fingers on each hand received callus.

The Creatine really assisted my workout I must admit but I was dampened to how much I could lift and my exercises by the Chest injury or rather, injury waiting to happen. I was going to consult Zubin the owner of the Gym but before I could get to him he scooted off back out of view. The sweat was also phenomenal, my whole shirt was dripping with sweat and so were my pants which have both been discarded to be washed immediately.
