Walking back to Shawn and Tatton I noticed that no one was really caring about the little part he wanted for his carburetor as he visited a couple of places. Driving back to Tatton’s house we looked in the grass for the part he supposedly dropped and Shawn’s eyes finally found it. The next half an hour I watched Shawn and Tatton putting back together the carburetor and as they mounted it into the engine bay Shawn had to leave. Shawn was explaining that his mum was coming home early and he had to pick her up from the station. Probing deeper I found out that Shawn’s dad’s brother came down with an illness and he wasn’t expected to live through the week so his dad chose to head there. Shawn had to pick up his mum from the airport and it didn’t come at a better time as Tatton’s car wouldn’t idle but would kick over. Shawn drove me home and we both gathered that this would be his last night driving the Festiva and the party was over. Shame, Shawn didn’t even have a party that we were all talking about.
At home I sat playing my computer as I had nothing else to do. For the day I was going to head out to the City and hand in my Resume to Adecco Centacom but I woke up too late. I’m hoping that after this short entry I can get to sleep early but I’m not sure what time I’ll be asleep tonight by. Reaching 6:30 p.m. I gave Lyssa a call at home but she couldn’t talk to me for long because she was applying her makeup. Lyssa told me she would call me back and in the next ten minutes she did just that but again was pressed for time because Kieran was over her house and she had to leave for her dinner which I completely forgot about. Lyssa told me she would call me back later in the night and she made certain to ask if I would be home. For hours I waited for that call while playing the computer but as I checked the time for the first time I was surprised to find the time was 9:30 p.m. and Lyssa hadn’t called yet. Still, I gathered that Lyssa was still out on her dinner but I was still pondering where they would have gone for dinner. Lyssa told me that it was only Kieran and her that went to dinner for the night and it does seem a little odd, that’s why I asked if anyone else like Pedro was going. While speaking to Lyssa at work she assured me that it was only her and Kieran but even though he’s nothing to really worry about it’s still a bit peculiar.
Lyssa didn’t give me a call tonight as I waited until 10:30 p.m. and by that time Shawn came over my house. Calling Tatton’s house we found out that Tatton walked all the way to Campbelltown Mall from his house at this strange time at night just to buy Ice Cream. What sort of a demented person thinks of shit like that, of course, Tatton does. Calling Tatton’s house back up in ten minutes he was home so we watched a bit of ‘The Panel’ and then headed to his house. Picking Tatton up I let him sit in the front seat as him and Shawn are best buddies. After traveling to Simon’s house and finding he wasn’t home we drove to Tatton’s house because he wanted to take his car out for a spin. At Tatton’s house was Keith who had just driven from my house seeing what we were up to. Keith was just with Simon at Pizza Hut and I was going to call him after he finished work but I gathered he was probably busy with Tamsen.
Tatton took his car out for a spin and Keith drove home because we weren’t doing anything for the night. The whole trip in Tatton’s car was fucked as it kept choking and the car would lose power at times. Tatton’s car is a shit box and it was a waste of his money to even have it registered. Tatton’s attempt at cleaning the carburetor might have worked but the car was still fucked up. Heading to Simon’s house nearing midnight I knocked on his door and walked back to Tatton’s car, which conked out meters before we arrived at his house. Simon came out and so did Lucas a couple of minutes later and we stood there as Tatton tried to adjust the timing. Putting shit on Tatton about the 80’s as we usually do and bagging his car for being a rust-bucket he didn’t really appreciate our words of deterrence. Simon didn’t want to be outside with us and neither did Lucas on that fact and as we fixed the car we were headed for home. Shawn dropped me off at home and walking in my house I was infuriated knowing that the phone didn’t even ring for the time I was gone. Lyssa didn’t even try calling me back and that pissed me off. Maybe she just forgot but I’m sure Lyssa would have called me any time during the night, she always does. Hopefully she’s not trying to play by the rules in ‘The Rule Book’ a second time.
The things that dampened my day and the ending of this month was the fact that Lyssa didn’t give me a call back and that gave me a sense of emptiness, something left out of my day. There was also the fact that I didn’t really do anything for my whole day although I did go out twice but to do nothing that satisfied me. Shawn’s car will now forever be impounded by his mum and that also puts a damper on the end of this month. The first day of the month he arrived at my house with this new edition to my Diary, now he’s having it taken away. Keith is working more days in the week now, that’s why we didn’t really do anything today. Keith will be breaking up with Tamsen soon as noticed when Tamsen was taking advantage of the last days with her boyfriend. As I said before though, today has been a flat-line day where there has been an equal amount of good happenings. Things like me getting my form, probably getting paid next fortnight, going out this whole weekend, visiting Job Placement Agencies in the near future and Marisol, who I talked to a day or two ago. Right now I’m neither positive or negative but I’m sure the next few days ending this month will tell the story. This month wasn’t invincible, I thought I was getting close to an everyday party but it just didn’t happen, maybe next month.
Now as I sit here I will have one last shower, freshen up and try to get rid of this Hay-Fever that I caught yesterday. You get this bug if you sneeze a lot and now my nose is only slightly blocked but I don’t have a cold. After my shower I will get to sleep because Lyssa isn’t calling me tonight unless she pulls a 3:00 a.m. job in the morning. Whenever Lyssa rings at an odd hour in the morning you expect a problem like pregnancy to occur or the latter and better option, a plea for sympathy and questions like “Do you still love me.” It’s nice to know that Lyssa thinks about me in the odd hours of the morning and lately I’ve had the urge to give her a call at odd hours in the morning with the same agenda. Last night I wanted to give Lyssa a call late in the night and ask her something like “If I was to go out with you again would you forget about Ali being your friend.” If Lyssa told me no then it’s obvious she would favor Ali’s newfound friendship over our conquering love. How selfish you might say of me but how selfish would Lyssa be not to appreciate my feelings and hatred for a dog. This, a dog that used the momentum of kicking me out of Lyssa’s life temporarily so he could get his meaty hands onto her long enough for them to become better friends. Well, enough of that for tonight, I don’t want today’s nothing to turn into ten pages so I’m off.
