Pizza, Pumping Iron and Getting Dogged (Part 3) – Mad Chaos: October 22, 1998

Wednesday I woke up at 1:00 p.m. again, it’s now the standard time, not like what it used to be. However now it is in the middle of both worlds, waking up at 8:30 a.m. a short while ago and the more prone time of waking up back in the days which was 3:00 p.m. or later. Once up I had myself something to eat, had a shower and started to use the computer to my benefit. The only problem when I started writing was that Shawn had come to my house and for the next two hours I entertained them. From there they were headed for home and at 5:00 p.m. I made my way to the Gym. There were a couple of people down there that I had noted, the first was Tod that drives the white MR2 I took pictures of. He talked with me for 15 minutes as I was seated on my bike machine. We talked about nightclubs, how he was doing weights for the last eight months. He stuck around enough time to give me a spot on Bench Press, a landmark weight. There was also Redd there but as I approached him he was talkative but sounded like he wanted to get into his workout. Redd doesn’t go out anymore these days because he’s working and trying to stick to a married life. Anyway, let me now record my workout and how I was lacking energy because I was in a rush to leave my house. Energy was also taken from me when I worked my Chest and for the sake of not over-training I started to ease when I got to my back and biceps deciding to mix it up a little.

Chest: Stretching an already loose muscle I done three quick warm-up sets. Firstly on Peck Deck with 40 pounds I performed 20 reps and then headed for the Machine Seated Bench Press I performed 15 reps with 60 pounds. One last warm-up of 10 reps on Bench Press with 80 pounds and then I placed the weight up to 160 pounds for Bench Press. This was a first time attempt and I was just hoping with Tod’s help I could belt out at least four. The first rep was a bit stale but with no help from Tod I managed 7 reps and one extra with Tod’s help. What do you know, that is somewhat astonishing but now this will be my high weight all the time. I’ve finally reached 160 pounds and I’m proud of it. Next was Machine Seated Bench Press and after a warm-up on this machine I performed 10 strenuous reps with 140 pounds, another heavy weight. Once again I tried with 120 pounds belting out another 10 reps. Peck Deck served me two sets each with 110 pounds and 10 reps conking out near the end. Assisted dips with 40 pounds assistance served me well for 10 reps and then moving to Dumbbell Incline Press I prepared myself. The first set was too high with 55 pounders for 6 reps so I dropped weight to 50 pounders and accomplished 3 reps. One more set of 10 reps on Pullovers with 60 pounds and I was finished.

Back: Starting to feel lethargic and over-trained I took it easy on my back. Starting on Seated Cable Rows with 40 pounds warm-up I done one set and then set the weight to 100 pounds for 10 reps. One more set was done with the same weight for ten reps and then I made my way to Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns. Once again I warmed up with 40 pounds and placing the weight to 80 pounds I performed 8 debilitating reps. Once again I tried but could only get a couple of reps. One more set I tried, a new one to move around a bit. Seated Machine Rows (Where each hand had a bar to pull), with 120 pounds I performed 10 reps.

Biceps: Deciding to end quickly my torture I began with two warm-ups. Firstly on Standing Cable Curls I performed 10 reps with 30 pounds. From there with 25 pounds on Preacher Cable Curls I performed 10 more reps. Last, I performed one set of Standing Cable Curls with 60 pounds and 9 reps before conking out and giving up. To move it around a little I tried one set of Triceps Pushdowns with a straight bar and with 50 pounds I performed 10 reps.

Abdominals: There were three straight forward sets for the Abdominals all done on Machine Ab Crunches. The first was with 30 pounds and I accomplished 30 reps. Once again with the same weight I performed 30 reps and then with a slight rest I increased the weight to 60 pounds and performed 15 reps before conking out.

That was my workout that finished at 6:00 p.m. and from there I headed home and added into my stomach a bowl of spaghetti and some broccoli. Before I jumped into the shower Keith came over and when I came back out Jett and Fred were at my house also. But, I grow tired and the time has crept up to 4:44 a.m. pretty spooky.

For a bit of time now I have been working on a blank verse poem that has been on my mind for the last couple of hours. We shall end this entry on that note and as I wake up tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. or so I shall recite the rest of my Wednesday night. Lucky it wasn’t really that special but there was a lot of fun bitching in this one particular day.

Okay, this poem has a lot of repetition but difference in meaning of words. Because I am so tired I won’t be able to elaborate but it’s self-explanatory. The idea is that of when I am in the shower thinking and that is depicted in the next couple of lines as me teaching you all the thoughts in my head through different ways which all equal the same thing once written in my diary.

Hear, I dare sit inside of my shower,

To gather thoughts and instigate answers,

Here, I dare sit amidst of mine power,

Which spreads such like some murderous cancer,

Hair, I share with thee mine locks, how art thou,

To understand my locks unlock my mind,

Heir, I share with thee mine power, wot how,

To understand what begets from my mind,

Thou art a student to be taught my tongue,

Of arrogance and pig headed nature,

Thou art a student to learn from so young,

My persistence and choleric temper,

Hear, as frequent thought makes my mind grow sour,

Here, I dare sit inside of my shower,

Thursday 2:08 p.m.

Eating my chicken, nibbling my fine divine, baking thoughts of deliverance and procuring time. That as I sit here has been my Agenda. Escorted from my slumber to a phone call, another plagued my time, my mind, the thought of washing such filth from my exuded body, these abrasive odors that emit not but to only breathe ones breath. That as I sit here has been my quarrel. None else matters in this, my time of disposition. The poem I wrote last night was very good and although it was simplistic the reality is a lot more complicated to determine. That was the last I wrote of the night and now it is time to write of the rest of last night.

Wednesday night, coming out of the shower, Keith, Jett and Fred were at my house. Walking in acting high on life I talked to Jett to see what the news was. Jett told me he’s got Madden 99 for his Play Station now and it’s heaps good he boasts. With that we challenged each other to three games, the winner is the winner. No plans were really set for the night but Shawn gave Keith a call and told him that they were driving to Ingleburn Pizza Hut so we thought we would meet up with them. Fred went to see Kevin but Jett drove his bike with us and the three of us headed for Ingleburn Pizza Hut. While at my house Keith and Jett were cracking jokes about how I almost take as long as a girl.

Upon arriving at Ingleburn Pizza Hut I noticed that Marisol wasn’t there but the other blonde girl was there, the tall one. Parking the car, Jett parked his bike between two cars and we all headed to the curb where it wasn’t raining. Keith ordered a Pizza and I was also hungry as he told me he would give me some of his food as I didn’t have much to eat at my house. The five of us stood around and as Simon came out we all started to talk, whispering at people that walked past and making fun of people. Daffa was in Ingleburn Pizza Hut and as he came out to listen to our conversation (Like he was part of us) I could sense his hatred. Daffa and Emrys have never really liked our group but who are they, just some working punks.
