Finishing the Saga and Planning a Friday Night (Part 4) – Mad Chaos: October 16, 1998

Just mentioning that I might be going out for the night I asked if Lyssa had any plans or if she still wanted to come over my house. Lyssa explained to me that she wasn’t certain if her and Penelope were going to the Catholic Club for the night as they didn’t have a car so she might or might not. Lyssa told me not to stop my night because of her and I’m not going to. To be honest, I’d rather be in the City or anywhere with my friends rather than have my ex girlfriend at my house where we could make a mistake. My ideology of Lyssa asking herself over and breaking plans was probably for the fact that she missed me and if Lyssa came over on that night then something definitely would have been begging to happen. So, it’s best that I go out tonight and I know that I will be. The plan is for lots of us to travel to Eros Theatre, Binh planned it, let’s see what happens.

Now to explain about Thursday. In my last entry I explained a tiny bit of Thursday morning and how I started to write in my Diary and Keith came over. After a small talk of what we were doing I turned off my computer and jumping in Keith’s car we headed to Campbelltown to see Tatton at Mobil. Upon arriving there we noticed that Tatton wasn’t working for another day so making a detour we headed for his house. Keith used his turbo a bit on the way there and he asked me what he should buy for his car. Keith was selling his Sony Play Station to Lucas and with that money he was buying tinting for his car and Tamsen’s. However, with some extra money he was tossing a coin whether to get his turbo boosted or a turbo timer so he didn’t have to wait a minute for his car. My thoughts were for Keith to get his turbo boosted from 12 pounds to 15 pounds.

Reaching Tatton’s house we parked out the front and before Keith turned off his car Tatton came out. Keith just had to drop off Tatton’s CD and after speaking with him Tatton didn’t want to come out or Keith didn’t ask, one or the other. From there we made our lengthy drive to Tamsen’s house so Keith could get some money. Waiting in the car Keith took a walk down to Tamsen’s house and as I waited I mucked around with the powered rear vision mirrors fixing my rear vision mirror so that I could see back. Tamsen’s dad came home and while he was driving into his yard he looked into Keith’s car curious as to whom I was. Making a walk back up to the car with Tamsen, Keith spoke with Tamsen and then jumped into the car.

The next spot to visit was Simon at Pizza Hut in Ingleburn and parking our car near the front and Simon being on the other side of the road Keith asked him over. Simon owed $5 to Keith and I was curious to see if he would front with the money. Keith was signaling Simon to come over and Simon was doing the same thing and for a couple of minutes no one budged. Keith then pulled out his old Pulsar Key and bribed Simon telling him that he would break into his car if he didn’t come over. Simon being a sucker walked across the street and with $5 in his hand passed it onto Keith.

While at Pizza Hut we all noticed Tessa hugging some short guy that looked like a girl from the back. That was her boyfriend and I finally got to see what the shrimp looks like, he’s a shrimp. The news was around the store that Shafiq (Who is Tessa’s boyfriend) cheated on her with another guy and judging by their hugging each other plenty in the parking lot I gathered it might be true. Keith pointed out a girl inside Pizza Hut with blonde hair and looked pretty, my type of girl. From there my imagination took over and even though she didn’t look that great behind the counter I was attracted. Simon had to walk into the store to get Keith a Pizza with the money he just gave him so I sarcastically told him to go in there and say “That guy out there said hello and his name is Tony.” Well, I wanted Simon to walk in there after we had left and say something but the spastic walked in there and looking into the store I realized that he was telling the girl right there and then. Keith didn’t know what was going and as she looked into the car and smiled at me she waved so embarrassed I waved back to her. The girls behind the counter were also smiling and I was justifiably embarrassed.

Simon brought out Keith’s Pizza and telling him that it wasn’t necessary to do that I was sort of grateful that this girl that I now know as Marley knew that I had something for her. Marley kept looking out of Pizza Hut on every occasion she could get from then on and I would look back in at her when I got the chance. As far as walking in and talking to her went I didn’t want to embarrass myself and I didn’t have confidence in myself. It’s been a year and more since I’ve even tried to crack onto a woman and from my experience last night I wasn’t that good. Later in the night I kept asking Simon to walk in and ask her name but instead he asked another girl who told him that her name was Belinda. Much later in the night I found out off Tessa that the girls name was Marley and that sounded more realistic to me as Simon thought her nickname was Mari at work.

Keith’s phone rang and being Tamsen he opted to leave for her house. There was no one home at her house and as Keith left I jumped out of the car to go on a run or two with Simon. Keith told us he would only be half an hour or so and I could just imagine he was going over for a root. Simon’s two little sisters were down at Pizza Hut and they were a handful for him. The smaller one thought she was tougher and the taller older looking one who resembled Simon more was the mothering one. They kept running around being hooligans and I was just wondering what it was doing to Simon to have his little sisters at work, he had to mind them. Later that night Phoenix was helping mind Simon’s little sisters, more on that gossip later.

Embarrassed of jumping out of the car and being seen by Marley who was still looking out of the window I kept myself within his car. That was until Shawn came down and appearing out of nowhere he looked into Simon’s car where I was sitting and surprised I jumped out. Simon and Shawn walked up to the car and we all faced Pizza Hut looking in as I filled Shawn up with the gossip. There was also another girl in Pizza Hut with great blonde hair and remarkably skinny that I thought was also attractive. Her name was Odessa and considering that meant “Shit” in my language I gathered (Or rather Keith gathered) it was a sign, an omen to keep liking Marley. Simon and Shawn walked across the street towards Pizza Hut and being embarrassed once again to get closer I jumped back into Simon’s car. Shawn had brought down his parents Festiva who had just left once again for two weeks holiday. While they are gone Shawn can drive the Festiva, he’s taking every opportunity he can get.

When we finally made our way on a run it was dark and Shawn jumped in the back. Simon’s little sisters kept themselves at Pizza Hut and were being looked after I think. Making our way to a block of apartments we were amazed that the road that we had to use to drive into the area had a large tree in the middle of it. That tree was sort of a separation from the left and right side of the road, it was weird. Stopping out the front of one of the apartments Simon found it was the wrong place and stepping next door Shawn and I noticed and old guy in his 70’s poked his head through the mesh screening of his door. Shawn and I kept whispering at him and whispering that ‘Mortimer’ was coming to get him but I don’t think he heard. His safety light was on and after a minute or so he closed his door and walked back inside. There was also a guy that was walking up the road that we bothered by flicking our lights on him once and whispering out of the car to him.

Simon was a bit upset but when doesn’t he get his rags. We went on three more deliveries and Shawn and I kept being hooligans. Coming back to Pizza Hut we stepped out the front and for once I could be myself, Marley had gone home. Odessa on the other hand was out the front talking to some of her friends and looking at her close up she was still decent. Keith came back down a few minutes later and telling me that he was going to pick up his Play Station from home I told him to give me a lift home so I could get prepared for a possible night. In actuality, Marley was still there to what my memory recalls until we got back from my house. The reason I really went home was to put my hair in a ponytail and to spruce up a bit so I could get some confidence. Back at home I just put some Cool Water on, placed my hair back in a ponytail and then awaited Keith’s arrival. Beeping while driving up my street was Keith and walking outside to greet him on his way down I jumped in.

Now back at Pizza Hut in Ingleburn we awaited Lucas to show up to his car where he caught a Taxi from the City. Simon’s sisters were being little hooligans hitting on Keith and Shawn and I kept harassing them saying things like ‘Mortimer doesn’t like you” and “Tell your teacher that Simon keeps beating you up at home.” The smaller and more ruthless child tried to use her fists against me but as she raised her fist against me so did I and she backed away. Keith let the child hit him and I just gathered that Simon or his parents had taught the kids bad. It’s not right for a kid to hit someone and then tell the kids that we won’t hit back, that’s not moral. So in a way I was teaching the kids to behave even though I didn’t hit them, they had respect and didn’t hit me back.
