Summer, I can feel it almost upon us and it burns my skin just to think about it. Today I walked to Campbelltown for something to do but that’s not the reason I started writing in my Diary. Coming back home was the reason and what was in my mind. Remembering a song long ago (Either when I was working with Frank or at Martinson Engineering, probably the second one) that I had created and printed out I was singing that on the way home and was wondering if I still had it. Making my way home I jumped on the computer and did a check to see if the song was written somewhere in my Diary or at least mentioned, no mention. Then I tried out the folder on the computer for my songs, not there either. I remember ages ago that I did create this song as I was walking home one day and it was really hot. That’s where the idea came from and I typed it up at work and printed it out or saved the work. Some time ago I was sorting through all my songs and threw some of them out so that could have been one of them gone, wasted.
Today while I was walking home I figured to myself “Hey, this summer song could become catchy so I might look into the lyrics again” and now disappointment. Nevertheless, this wasn’t a dream in my head, no illusion of my mind because I still remembered the Chorus and some of the lyrics so let me recite my summer song. Before I do let me just say it starts with a guitar then works its way into a strong beat for the rest of the song. The verses are sung by a strong Jamaican voice, real deep African type voices and the chorus is sung by a couple of leading lady’s. Oh yeah one more little bit of info, the song is a bit zany…
Fuck It’s A Hot Day
Boy it’s a really hot and sunny day outside,
I think I might dip in the pool and I thinks then I be fine,
The sun is really strong and beating down on me today,
So I think I might step outside, and I will realize,
Fuck it’s a hot day,
A really, really, really, really hot day.
Fuck it’s a hot day,
A really, really, really, really hot day.
There are some more lyrics that I can recite brokenly of this song so here they are…
Boy it feels like I’m sitting on top of the equator,
Take off my clothes to swim and I’m burning ten minutes later,
Let me be the first to say,
Bet you’re asking me how my flu is going. Well, ever since I gave my last tissue count full of phlegm and snot I’ve probably equaled that count, so double it. Fortunately, last night I had a marvelously uninterrupted sleep and remembering how the night before I was sweating plenty I only used the thin sheet of Lyssa’s to put on top of me. Chewing on ‘Butter-Menthol’ before sleeping my throat was fine, the night was breathable and I slept like a baby. Waking up at 9:00 a.m. in the morning after getting to sleep at 1:30 a.m. I felt that my neck was sore and noticed that I had still sweated the night before from around my Chest and stomach, weird. Trying to sleep for another half an hour my neck started to hurt because my glands were swollen in there so I had to jump up. Immediately I had myself a shower and after that was done bummed around figuring what exactly I was going to do for the day.
Having fifteen dollars in my wallet I knew I needed money to get to Liverpool three times to see that dickhead. Money was needed to get to the beach with Jett every Saturday (Two Saturdays) and I want to go to the Gym at least twice this fortnight. If the damn Centrelink office didn’t deduct my pay I would have had enough money for all of this with no hassles. But instead, I’ll probably just visit the Gym once (Which will be in about an hours time) five dollars will be for the Beach and with help from my mum I’ll have money to travel on the trains.
Walking home today from Campbelltown I made myself another decision and am going through with it. When last I talked with Lyssa I told her that October will be my month and I’m going to get myself a job. Lyssa then asked when abouts I thought in October. That’s when I realized that after I pay my phone bill which will take two more weeks and wait another two weeks to get my pay to buy some work shoes I can start looking for work but it will be too late for my month. So instead of waiting once again until November pops up I’m going to apply for a Centrelink Advance Payment of $350 and see if they will pay me the money. There shouldn’t be any real problem with me getting my advanced payment from Centrelink and that just gives me an excuse to visit Campbelltown tomorrow. With the money I receive I will spend $250 on shoes and clothing for work and $100 probably on just normal clothing or contact lenses, or maybe glasses or both.
I’ve made so many typing errors on this computer (And most of them are real words but just words the computer doesn’t recognize) that the spelling errors are no longer shown. Maybe it’s because I’ve written so many pages but let me tell you, with only two days to go and already at 284 pages I’m going for the big 300 for an ongoing record. Do you think I have enough words to conjure such an act, I think so…
Now for my day which basically started to kick around 11:00 a.m. I made my way to Campbelltown. Putting some attire on and putting my hair back hoping one day I can wear it out and it would look good, I made my way out the door. There was no set idea when I started walking to Campbelltown but I just wanted to get into the sun, put some color on my arms, bask in the sun, exercise my legs and see some people. Motivated to look for some jobs at Centrelink I headed for there en route Queen Street. Parading on Queen Street were plenty of good looking girls and I felt the pinch of summer love.
Glass doors opened in front of me as if magically feeling my presence. Escorted by the cool air within Centrelink I made my way to a touch screen and began my journey to seek. Feeling that summer could bring fun and opportunity in the form of jobs near the beach I also tried some down that way. At the end of it all I came up with four jobs and taking a last glance behind me for any leggy spectacles I made my way out. Not wishing to head home yet I made my way to the Mall because my nose was starting to clog up and I needed some tissue of some sort to blow my nose, toilet paper. Strolling down Queen Street and taking in the attractions I noticed a couple of lookers but none really attracted me like I was attracted by smart girl yesterday. Actually, I thought I had seen the both of them and jogged closer to them but who I thought was her hipster friend (Wearing the same clothes today) was in fact some really goofy blonde bimbo, duh.
Mall babes weren’t really there as I made my way downstairs and then back up for my venture. Stepping into the bathrooms I locked the toilet door and then commenced my nose blowing expedition. When all that was done I placed some toilet paper in my pocket incase I needed to do that again so openly, you never know. Persuaded was I by my thoughts to just jump on the train and travel but seeing that it was such a hot day and not much people were really out I wasn’t too sure. Out the front of the Mall was Bane (The Samoan guy that had his dick sucked by my ex Clover) and telling him that I was on my way to the City he walked with me as far as the turnoff to the station. Talking with each other Bane just told me how he was doing a hospitality course at TAFE for four years and once that was over he would have a great job. That’s about all we talked about apart from summer and how he’s not going to the beach at all, damn. I’m almost twenty and it’s just taken me until now to realize how fulfilling a trip to the beach is, Bane knew it all along but chooses not to go.
One by one I climbed the defeating stairs of the train station in the hopes to take a seat on the other side. Before I made my journey down the second flight of stairs I bought myself a drink that quenched my thirst (As the advertisements would tend to say). Staring fluently at the flocking of females and the competition I needed to devour I made my entrance and seated myself upon a seat farther away. Quenching my thirst I sat there in my own little movie world. Fifteen minutes was the train that would creep up upon me and take me to the City, or maybe less. For that time I noticed two girls, one older than the younger. Hearing what I thought was my train, it hissed at me as it pulled away and I was still seated. Yep, I didn’t catch a train and jumping back up and out of my bucket seat I made my journey up those stairs.
