Done With Clubs

The day has ceased and it dawns upon these pages to exist. Shawn has just left in his work Ute to head home and I, without a single location of fad to engage have had a good weekend thus far. Like the days of old, where nightclubs are a sporadic event and the dogs are separated from the originals, I have returned to the simple pleasures of life, before the hype of clubs took over my life. Let’s not say that clubs are dead but at this very moment, as Campbelltown is a hole and no one can ever escape its clutches, the need for clubs has extinguished.

Having wizened up to the misery endowed by others to make my nights less desirable and people who spoil plans before they ever go through, I am in control of my own mellow mood now, playing the strings of my life quite graciously. These past few hours have been full of grammatical judgment and philosophical views in addition to the characters to the plot of my life I’ve encountered. Therefore, with all the will I must portray upon these pages, I shall explain tonight before any other.

Shawn Arrives in the Ute

The story begins with Shawn heading over my house around 11:00 a.m. to which would have been Saturday morning. Having turned off my computers in anticipation of his arrival within seconds, he ended up taking his time. Regardless, this gave me time to prepare myself for the outing, deciding to wait so I could see what Shawn was wearing so I could either tone it down or keep it on. Turning on some music as I waited, I heard the front door and letting Shawn in, I noticed him dressed in worn down clothes.

Therefore, taking off my cargo pants and deciding not to wear my ‘Guess’ shoes as it was only Campbelltown, I decided to keep on the white Hound Dog shirt I never wear along with my Adidas pants. Wearing my Black Fly glasses for their initial invitation to the world according to my eyes, we talked of our plans down in Campbelltown and then headed to Shawn’s drive. Without surprise, Shawn had the company Ute for the second week in a row and as we jumped inside, pulling down my shades, we geared up and headed off on our day’s unpredictability in a world of methodology.

In no braggart way, Shawn pointed out his mobile phone and how he’s been making phone calls during the weekend and also at work while he’s driving. “I don’t care man” he said as he pointed out he enjoys his work, “When I’m driving around I just pick up the phone and call someone for something to do”. On our way via Macarthur Square so I could purchase my train ticket, he also noted that he stopped into the Morrissey warehouse to fix a boiler last week to which he saw Frederick’s brother working there.

The Macarthur Square Ticket Machine

“What are you doing here man” he asked to which Gregor noted that he worked there, making the clothes for the Morrissey label. Anyway, heading to Macarthur Square, we drove through the back-end carpark of Macarthur Square to end up driving down the wrong way of that small one way street under the walkway bridge. Under the bridge where cars would normally be found burnt out upon the grass, there was a small outing going on. Actually, Campbelltown looked full of blossoming kiddy excitement as they had the Circus in its usual place as well is this intensely downscaled version of Menangle Markets, just with a jumping castle.

As Shawn parked the car I made gesture to the ticket machine up at the station in Macarthur Square. Noticing three girls dressed in a morbid black look with only a touch of bright purple along the fringes or their bags or sleeves, I found their torn stockings or scruffy hair to be disheartening. However, on the other end of the scale they did have a touch of allure to them but those thoughts were quickly phased out upon the knowledge that they couldn’t barely be over the sweet age of sixteen age.

Money fell out of the machine like they had won the pokies to which they exclaimed “Wow look at all these two dollar coins that came out”. Figuring that the girls put in a fifty dollar note, I waited patiently as the other two girls done their business and then it was upon my steady hands. Allowing my twenty dollar note to slide back out twice before it finally worked, I scraped out my ticket, placed it firmly in my wallet and then headed back to Shawn’s car.

Doing my old trick from my younger days as I felt young again, when the small pole fencing was approached and there was that small drop to the carpark where Shawn had parked, I flipped myself over, shifting my legs straight up into the air and using my hands as the source of the pendulum. Placing myself in a great mood, I jumped into Shawn’s car as the both of us had smirks on our faces and calling for Shawn to step on the gas, we were up to some more mischief.

Chasing a Blonde in Traffic

Our next little adventure was to get my haircut in Campbelltown, something to which Shawn was taking a liking of interest. “My hair needs a trim too” he noted, “I might get it cut today”. In the swing of the gilding day’s glory, when in a touch of traffic heading down the main road to Campbelltown from Macarthur Square, I noticed a hot blonde chick driving her car from out of the RTA road. “If we’re lucky”

Shawn noted, “She’ll pull out right next to us and if not, we’ll just slow down”. Gawking at her beautiful face with my cheeky smile, I found some common ground as she had some groovy white frame glasses with black lenses. While she was turning out of the street she looked straight at our car and considering it wasn’t a very noticeable Ute, she must have sensed us gawking at her.

Nevertheless, as the two of us stared at her and I expressed my interest with a little game of charades for her view, she had her eyes firmly targeted on us. When we ended up in front of her and her behind a bus, we tried to slow down so we could get a second glance but that was to be the last of her glamorous looks. “This is what we should be doing these days” I noted to Shawn, “Just driving around and looking for chicks, looking for action.

Shawn seemed to agree that clubs weren’t the scene anymore and that it was becoming more fashionable in our minds to just go out for a spin with like minds doing like things, like chasing girls. What’s more fun than relaxing in the bustling sun, standing around your car in a public place and finding some like-minded girls to chat with about such a beautiful day. It’s better than meeting some chick at a nightclub who’s on an ‘E’ to which there is no entity or base to the innocence of a candid conversation.

The Slowest Reverse in Campbelltown

High on life was the attitude portrayed by me for the whole of Saturday and still which breeds within me to this very moment. On our trip to find a parking spot at the Mall in Campbelltown, irony followed suit after Shawn advised me how the only stress he had at work was driving around in the City. “The streets are all one way and I have to drive all the way around the City just to get where I want to go” he complained and minutes later, we were in the parking lot, suspending in anticipation of the slowest reversing attempt we had ever seen.

Ever so slowly, this guy kept creeping out of his parking spot which was touch and go for a couple of seconds, bidding Shawn and I to sit there, wondering on what planet this guy was on. Holding up another car as he reversed, we found another idiot to drive to the right of our Ute in a bid to get past us but halting a nose in front of us for the reversing car which was almost out. “Don’t turn in our direction” Shawn cried as he slammed his hand vigilantly on the steering wheel.

Now with both their stupidity, we had the reversing car facing a dispensable road block that could have been avoided had it not been for a persistent idiot behind us and some sheep who didn’t have enough brains to reverse and turn opposite to our direction. In the end, the car next to us had to swerve in front of us to squeeze through our cars, Shawn deciding not to budge to their stupidity.

When that car was out of the way, the slow reversing car took even more time, creating the illusion that he was literally scraping past our the space between our Ute and parked cars when there was a mile of space. Shaking our heads in pity, Shawn parked the Ute and our wild bout of wicked irony had came to a conclusion. Back and forth we traveled thrice, shedding layers of skin under our tires as we tried to find the most agreeable angle for the car to stand.

Lyssa Wants a Hug

Again, I have to cut celebrations short because for one, I am feeling a touch tired and secondly, this befitting night has Lyssa, after two prior calls, coming over my house tonight. The time is now 1:58 a.m. and just having received a call from Lyssa, she sounded upset and asked if she could over my house and get a big hug tonight.

I assume that Lyssa’s calling me twice before today while Shawn was over my house to which she said she was bored and wanted to talk would be a contributor to her coming over tonight. However, the juice that I have managed to get out of Lyssa is that she’s upset in reason to Hakim and something regarding him tonight.

From the hug that Lyssa wants because she’s feeling bad and from how she noted Imad didn’t do anything bad to her, I can only assume that Lyssa is going to come over to my house, upset that Hakim got onto some other girl to which Lyssa saw and felt underrated.

If that is the case I won’t be surprised but as I’ve also predicted that Lyssa has been building up the tension to get jiggy with it by her little comments over the phone, I feel that tonight Lyssa is going to be at her most vulnerable to her wants, if in truth lust is her most desire.

Anyway, more will be shed tomorrow to which time Lyssa heads home but let me just note that there is no way I can speak from Wednesday to Sunday in the space of a couple of flimsy hours tomorrow. Therefore, I am trapped in this void again, thinking that I could overcome the tail of chronology but really, who am I kidding. Lyssa will just leave more to be shed upon these pages tomorrow and there will be no way I can take Monday off so I will be much more a busy man come the days of work where I will lack again in the department of sleep.

Man, I have to clean up my room because it’s in a mess from my little house party with Shawn today and I haven’t had a shower for the whole day despite my having gone to the pools for the first time in a long time. Lyssa should be at my house soon with her taxi so I shall depart these pages and prepare myself for the woes that shall be her dramatic story…
