Off to See Tatton
Telephone conversations and computer games aside, when the time arrived to 11:15 p.m. it was time to meet up with Tatton. Lounging around lazily, I was contemplating on just sitting home when Shawn asked if I wanted to join him quite askance. Deciding that the chronology could wait and making a big mistake in that department but a good move in an opportune weekend, we jumped into his Ute and headed off, the good old faithful Ute aye.
Shawn sounded distrustful of Tatton’s conniving ways to which he questioned “What’s the bet that Tatton lied and he’s still at home”. “It wouldn’t surprise me” I replied but surprised I was when turning up to Mobil at Campbelltown and seeing him there. Like a blast from the mushroom crusted past, we parked near his server window and locking the Ute doors, we headed into his Mobil store to greet credulous old Tatton.
Shawn and the Magazines
Just like a baby’s first steps, Shawn’s teething of peculiar behavior has never surpassed him. Without so much as three steps into the store, he headed straight for the magazine section and whipped out some pornographic material. Leaving Shawn to his own devices, I started conversation with Tatton to which he later noted the conception of my actions. In a way, I acted half between a couple of nips of cordial and joined in the mile high on life club. My cocky and mostly unpredictable weirdness had me picking up the place-mat on the counter which had a picture of a big Mars bar on it.
“Can I buy this” I asked Tatton, appearing as if I was warped out on drugs. “No you can’t,” he noted, snatching back the placemat and as I pointed to the real chocolates he scanned one and told me the price. Grabbing the placemat again I uttered, “Yeah, I’ll buy this one please,” and from that we started a conversation about roasted Mars Bars. Joining Shawn in on the picture magazine, we started flicking through the women as I literally took control of the flow when seeing a beautiful blonde. “Haven’t you slept or something,” Tatton asked after I snatched back the pages Shawn was turning. “Nope,” I replied pleasantly, “this is just me being high on life”.
Everyone Turns Up
Like a game of up-words, the faces just kept piling up in Mobil. For more than one week I hadn’t spoken or seen anyone in our group and all of a sudden, after Shawn calls me up out of the blue and we make a day of it, everyone else turns out in the picture. This just goes to show that keeping up appearances certainly does have a moral to its caper but I’m just surprised at how we didn’t go out looking for these people but somehow, they all turned up.
Look Who Is Here
The first people I spied was when I glanced out of the window, waiting to see who the next customer would be to walk into the store so I could put away the magazine. Noticing Keith’s car parked at one of the petrol pumps and being secluded from our immediate view, I turned around and announced “Great, look who’s here.” Shawn and Tatton both seemed to hold the same strength of loathing and in the ten minutes it took him to walk into the store, we talked ill of him, well, not ill but the sad truth.
“No one talks to Keith anymore,” Shawn explained to Tatton who sounded somewhat surprised at the outcome.” Going on to explain how he’s always a dog and then noting my prediction that Keith and Tamsen’s invitation to Min-Su’s birthday won’t last any longer than ten minutes before they leave, Tatton could see the detestation that had built up for the decisions the both of them made.
Before Keith broke up with Tamsen he was just short of despicable but it took his going back out with Tamsen for all of us to see just how much of a loser he was. What’s more, his insecurities led him to try hard in getting everyone together, only to dog them in the end.
The Cold Shoulder
With Keith finally arriving into the store we had all agreed in our minds that we wouldn’t shake his hand. Inadvertently, I think that we made him feel uneasy around us but that didn’t come full circle until some other guests to the party arrived. Speaking of parties, I was out to destroy Keith’s little surreal celebration, one who is so complacent to think that everything is alright and has fallen back into place now that he’s back with Tamsen. Keith tried his best to fit into our conversation but following Tamsen’s example, the both of them strayed away from trouble in the form of myself.
So deemed to be someone who looks like he doesn’t want to be messed around with and has no sense of humor, Tamsen didn’t dare approach me like she did with Shawn, pinching his tits and squeezing them hard for her harsh fun. Trying not to associate with either of them, I kept looking at glasses or chatting with Tatton behind the counter until I heard the lamest crap of conversation I’ve ever heard.
Keith Bosses Simon
“Guess who I’ll be bossing around on Monday,” Keith asked and as we didn’t particularly care about his feeble attempt to get a job, barely lifting his lazy butt, my empathy for his being a loser was damper moreso when he uttered, “I’ve got Simon a job and I’ll be his boss.”
Tamsen was quick to count herself as being Keith’s boss as well as Simon’s and taking a step back, I could see this only as one big dysfunctional family of maggots, feeding off each others instability. How lame is that, fat ass has been working there for a week and already he’s calling in for some more assistance.
As Keith wound up what at first I wished was a joke, he made the surreal all the more a hoped reverie when he received a call from someone who is now on his dick, Simon. I heard Keith voicing “Come down to Mobil, Tony and that are down here” to which I thought “Who cares, like we’re really that bent on seeing Simon anyway”.
Why Keith Needs Control
The lowdown on Keith is simple, he just needs someone to shed his insecurities upon, so he can still feel in control of something. Keith can’t go without a girlfriend, hence the distress he felt and the stupid stuff he done when he broke up with Tamsen. However, even with Tamsen, Keith is again insecure to the fact that he knows everyone hates him and his decision to get back with Tamsen.
Therefore, like he got rid of Jett and Min-Su who were firmly against the both of them reuniting, his insecurities got the better of him. Nevertheless, Keith has something to look forward to as he can control Tamsen and her decisions and therefore, he can live life miserable but knowing he’ll always have Tamsen, the one who dumped him to go out with some other guy and then retreated humbly to Keith when all failed.
Wherever Keith turns now there is always something to feel insecure about. Each shade of each day holds a memory for Keith that is undesirable. Keith’s liking to be in power explains how he always wanted to get one better on Tamsen and now his plugging up his insecurities with Band-Aids by having Simon work under him. Again, it’s the domination thing that dominates Keith himself and to further this theory, Keith’s tireless attempts to get people together on weekends and his dogging ways afterwards are two examples of his trying to control wayward power.
Shawn even went as far as to give Keith the nickname of “Optimus Primus” that Saturday night at Mobil, drawing parallels to the both of them always wanting to be in control but never being able to. This is a nickname I think could have the potential of sticking just as Simon’s nickname has stuck for years thanks to myself…
Sonya and Phoenix Drop By
From what I recall, Keith ended up driving Tamsen home and then driving back to join us again (Why I shall never know) but I also do remember that we had a full house when Sonya and Phoenix arrived. You couldn’t miss the stalky tart, dressed in her $10 Dotti outfit and looking as ragged as the stretch marks running up and down her pussy hole. Busy as a beaver, she tried not to draw too much attention to herself while she spied on our conversation but who can miss someone so skinny yet so elevated, both in height and in vanity.
Tatton sought to fill the expectancy of his job as well as being nice by saying hello to them and sadly, after looking at the cheap shimmy from her high heeled hooves, I also shed a word or two of recognition. “Don’t be stealing anything now” Tatton noted as Sonya pretended to stuff a bar of chocolate down her easily peeled skirt. Finding no humor in their inanity, I wished that I could tap my shoes three times and send them each a brain.
At the counter, I stood next to a towering Phoenix who was tall enough but thought to make herself look more gawky by wearing high heels. Asking them about their night, they mentioned that they headed up to QSB which wasn’t that great and they sounded very smug to add their intentions of heading to the City. “We’re going to Rogue’s later tonight”
Phoenix noted paying no direct attention to me as she talked in her braggart way. “Oh yeah, tell me how it turns out because I was going to go there at one stage” I mentioned, making me laugh as she replied, “Yeah, it’s really going to be good because Rory’s already down there.” “What, does Rory make it go off does he,” I chided to which she just praised Rogues some more.
As she walked out of the store with Sonya under her smelly wing she exclaimed, “Have fun sitting around at Mobil” as if not being complacent enough already. Taking this as her appearing as if she was better off than us, I looked at Shawn and mockingly laughed “What, and I’m supposed to feel like Phoenix’s above me now, nigga please.” In no way, shape or form did Phoenix intimidate me into thinking “Wow!! She’s going out to Rogues. Oh man, I wish I could be her for one night”.
Equal and Right
In equal form is equal right and equal are we right bestowed. That is my form of words to what Lyssa mentioned to me today upon my mentioning Phoenix’s cameo appearance. Lyssa noted that no one is above anyone else and we are all amongst ourselves, equals. I just wish that someone told Phoenix that so she wouldn’t have to bear our snickering voices upon her departure to which she still would have felt like she was the Queen of the Banshee and us her tools.
Winding Up Simon
When Keith and Tamsen had departed and Simon had joined our little fray of words and boasts, I fed him with my contempt against Keith and his ways. Keith noted that he was going to be Simon’s boss and how he was going to put him in place if he tried to be lazy but emphasizing his point with more flair, I made his views known to Simon.
“So I heard you’re going to work with Keith now,” I muttered, “Just thought I’d let you know that Keith told us he’s going to set you straight and boss you around”. With a feigned smile on his face probably wishing me to stop such complacent words as well as commending me for such foresight, I either had him running scared or thinking contentious thoughts at the end of my speech.
Shawn’s backing my story of words also deliberated the impact upon the fragile ego of Simon. All Simon done was just stand there and take in all that I was saying. What could he do really. I think that Simon was stupid enough to side with Keith in this little odyssey of stupidity but an uncontrived man is equal a contrived contraband.
A Joke From FHM
Other adverse and versatile affects of the night at Mobil with Tatton were as follows. At one stage while reading through a magazine I just held a face as if I was going to burst out laughing and then when Shawn looked other with interest I done just that. For the next two minutes I was just sitting there laughing to a thought in my mind.
A couple of minutes later their intrigue was paid off as I told them there was a hilarious joke I had read in FHM’s newest edition. Everyone seemed to find it a vilely amusing joke whereas Keith also felt that it was drawn out too long by my constant laughing. The joke incase you are eager to laugh is this. “What does a cannibal do after he dumps his girlfriend? Wipes his ass.”
The Woman in Blue
Far from the joke, there was a point early in the night where I started to howl at the expectation of a fair lady walking into the store. Making her way to the front counter dressed in slightly tight black pants and a lovely deep electric blue top made of some stretch fabric, she didn’t seem to mind Shawn’s flicking through nude photos in People Magazine.
“That’s a nice magazine to be reading,” she acknowledged as Shawn just looked up and then back down at his magazine. Being around the age of 24, blonde hair, a great body, a greater pair of breasts and a beautiful face but one that leaves more to be desired, I found it easy to spark up homegrown conversation.
“So,” I huffed, “have you just been to Chevy’s have you.” She began chatting with me about how she’d just been to QSB and being a shit night, how she was gearing up to head back home. I’m not sure what I actually said to her to trigger this next phrase off but I remember that it had something to do with her body and her then noting “Yeah, I have a two year old son sitting at home.”
Coming along with some guy in her car, paying for her petrol, she said goodbye to me and made her way to the car. Appearing as if she was clean, not a boozer or anything like that, my eyes followed her matured body, waiting for the day when my age ripens to the point where I will receive some lady as such.
Leaving Keith Behind
At the end of the night, when Simon had left and when it was just Shawn, Keith, Tatton and myself, Shawn and I decided to desert Keith and make his insecurities flare up again. When Keith had left to drop off Tamsen the words of desertion began, coming to affect around 12:30 a.m.
Keith also took the liberty of signing himself off for the night and as I shook Tatton’s hand in departure, I didn’t care to express the same gratitude to Keith for his company. Suddenly it’s a game of spite, teaching Keith a lesson for being such a dirt-down dog. Letting him know just how we felt, you could sense his despair as he jumped in the car with his head either down or away from our view.
On the way home, Shawn told me how Ralf was basically Keith’s last hope to redeem himself in this group. However, as Ralf holds the same beliefs and hates as ourselves, when that day comes for Keith, it will be a hard hill to climb. Here’s Keith, set to lose all his friends for a girlfriend who betrays him just as much as he does upon her. What he needs to ask himself now is, is this all worth the hassles.
