Jett Wants A Wheelbarrow
There is still plenty to this saga of Friday night to continue upon where we headed back to Nero’s house and then we ended up making the journey to Rogues nightclub. However, with my plans to head into Campbelltown today to buy contact lenses is growing nearer, I shall be off and with the best of intentions planted within these decisions. Just to describe this early morning quickly, it obviously began with my waking up at 7:30 a.m. after having those two dreams.
Soon after I received a call from Jett who was in dire straits to borrow a wheelbarrow. Being so early in the morning I didn’t know if my dad would be awake but figured to go upstairs and give Jett the benefit of the doubt. Dad was awake at such an early hour and as I asked, there was a touch of hesitation but as dad noted later in the day “Jett is a good boy, I’ll lend him the wheelbarrow but if it was anyone else then I wouldn’t”.
Minutes later I received another call from Jett to which he was now looking for his wallet, hoping that he had left it over my house last night when he was mostly lying on my waterbed. However, a quick search found nothing but despair from Jett who was trying to hide his misfortune well. “That’s alright” he exclaimed, “I’ll be over there a little later to pick up the wheelbarrow”. Sure enough, Jett came over my house to which I think he came with Min-Su’s brothers and their car.
Heading to my room, he searched quickly himself to which with his disappointment he noted that it has his skirmish license, bank cards and sixty dollars inside. Despite this disheartened state, it didn’t shine through too much as we roped up the wheelbarrow into the boot of this car as Jett explained they needed it to shift gravel around for Min-Su’s birthday party. With my heading out there with only my Adidas pants on, I enjoyed the sun and waved Jett away as he drove off.
Keith Turns Up
Minutes later, I heard another car approaching my house, knowing it only to be one loathed engine, Keith’s. Typing away on my computer, I chose the last few seconds to turn it off and detestably walked to the front door in greeting. Keith explained how he had nothing at all to do and being so bored, wanted to head down to Campbelltown with me.
Despite my having no one else to head down to Campbelltown with, I don’t want to go against the grain of my words and use Keith for his opinion as well as his ride but I just might have to stoop myself down to that to shave some time off my duties. The only worth of Keith being at my house was the stories he shed, some to which I knew, others to which were interesting.
Firstly, Keith noted that he had a headache, digressing upon work and how his being the supervisor of six workers is not going so well. “Teague and this Indian guy are the only ones who actually work, the others just sit there and bludge” he cried. “Why don’t you sack them” I said in quick mending as he replied “I’ve reported it but nothing has been done”. Keith also thought to make a note about Min-Su’s birthday party coming up next Saturday but from that I didn’t open it any further.
Just a touch of gossip upon my being with Jett and Min-Su last night. Min-Su noted that Keith and Tamsen had sent her a message on the phone saying ‘We hope to see you at your birthday party, Tamsen really needs to be there for her best friend’ or something upon those lame terms. Shedding none of my knowledge, we talked football, the contenders and then it was time to express my needing to type on my computer.
In other words, it was my way of kicking Keith out for the day and now back upon these pages, I must leave it here at 11:00 a.m. and head down to Campbelltown so I can embrace my new fashion accessory, contact lenses.
Choosing Contact Lenses
Saturday 3:11 p.m.
These new contact lenses that I want to buy are the bomb. Despite younger girls snickering as I walk past, older girls of my age not even looking interested in my direction and with Lyssa having said I’m trying to be someone I’m not, I’m positive that these new contact lenses will help tone down my scolded image. Having clothes too good for Campbelltown and making me the equivalent of a well dressed Barbie Doll but for men (Without all the glamour of Ken), they’re jeering laughter as I walk past will soon change from ridicule to awed praise.
Today, with my black cargo pants, black Hound Dog shirt and my Guess jeans shoes I was a bit over the top for Campbelltown compared to how Keith and everyone else were dressed. However, because women see right through my image and younger girls are just gaping at my shoes in a fashion conscious frenzy, there will be a change set out, with color to my frame with clothes and esteem within the depth of my contact lenses.
Today I had a great attitude as the clothes, hiding myself behind glasses and the sunny day brought out the confidence and wackiness in my speech. Heading back to the roots of my charisma with this mask of fashion, with these new contact lenses, the connection will be so deep that I won’t need to speak, women will just listen. Maybe I’m sounding a touch pretentious there but when I buy these contact lenses, all ya’ll girls better watch out.
Having already placed an order upon seeing the optometrist today, the earliest I can pick them up is on Thursday night where I have booked myself in for 6:30 p.m. The contact lenses themselves after an extensive but satisfying hour of selection were light green and with a black line around the edge of the color to bring them out more. I used to be against this but after trying them on, that’s the only thing that looked awesome yet real on me. Therefore, Thursday will be the moment of conception, where my eyes will lighten and my charisma will brighten.
Detour To Ingleburn
Having been home now since 2:30 p.m. and listening to my new Wild FM CD that I bought an hour ago, I’ve enough time to write some more interesting factors about Friday before moving on tonight. In our Friday night story from one week back, I feel we were up to the part where we were about to blow off Campbelltown, heading out for something else with interest to the night.
The high spirits in the car had the three of us wanting to head out to another club, the only problem was where. In my mind, I thought Nero would have been like everyone else, being tight about where he wants to drive but I was wrong. Tyler made some suggestions like Liverpool and Parramatta to which Nero agreed so figuring he would drive out there I uttered “Well, how about we go to the City, Rogues or something”.
With the time being 12:30 p.m. we knew that we had to head to a club that would be open basically all night, not closing at 3:00 p.m., an hour after we arrived. The word and dubiety kept spreading in the car as the City was looking like the place to go but I could tell in their voices that they had something up their sleeves that they couldn’t reveal against my eager submissions.
Figuring to note Sweeney’s as a possible club we could head to, with our just driving around we started heading up towards Minto the long way. Coincidental or not, in all our uncertainty on where we were going Nero looked to Tyler when in Ingleburn and told furtively “Do you want to have a quick one”. Tyler sounded keen to what I automatically knew was the call for smoking pot and as we pulled into a driveway at Ingleburn I asked “Whose house are we at now”. Surprisingly, it didn’t click to me when Nero replied “This is my house”.
Inside The Bachelor Pad
Unassuming as I walked through his door, you would be pretty hard-pressed not to be impressed with the innards of his domain. Looking suave and delicate in style, mostly everything in his seemingly spaced out house had a touch of class. Yeah, he was short of inflatable sofas and silk pillows but it certainly had the feel of a bachelor house. Firstly, the sofas were blue facing a large home stereo unit with a large television and surround sound speakers engulfing the lounge area.
The carpet was also fluffy wool type stuff and most of his ornaments looked as if they were from ‘What’s New’, the fancy cool place. Tossing me a white hat to place over my frayed hair, it didn’t suit my Gas Station vest, and the black look I was going for but it done the job to keep my hair from annoying me. “Did this house come furnished”
I asked him in a whole list of intrigued questions and as we made our way to the kitchen he replied “Nah man, it’s mine over the years”. Having some fancy shit in the kitchen, I looked at a picture of five women framed on his fridge and asked “Fuck, who are they”. Knowing in my mind that one of them was Naomi Campbell and figuring the others would have been models also he wittingly remarked “That’s Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and that’s Friday”.
As the both of them started lighting up their hash and taking successive hits I spotted some cool shades also on the fridge with a narrow eye view. Being white and looking out-there, he asked me to try them on and to my surprise, they unleashed a cool 3D vision, splitting the colors in front of you. Thinking to myself that this would have wowed any prospective woman that walked into his pad, he also took me to his room where he pointed out a pet snake.
“Do you want to try and pat him” he uttered as I looked at the small snake and asked “Why, have you tried it yet”. Surprised at the answer, Nero told me that he was scared of snakes and he hasn’t dared stick his hand inside. Just looming my hand on the outside of the glass had the snake standing upright ready to jab, I wasn’t game enough, even if it was only a small beast.
Red Lights And A Puppy
Upon entering Nero’s house, I thought to myself “This is it, we’re not going anywhere tonight” but my faith should have been elsewhere. Sticking around Nero’s house enough for the both of them to smoke pot, I tried staying out of the kitchen to where the fumes would have overpowered me. Walking around looking at all the cool contraptions, Nero also brought out another contraption from his room which basically wiggled around red lights on the roof at night time, an obvious bitch teaser if ever I’d seen one.
Knowing that this was definitely a tool to place some exciting twists into a lust crazed night, I figured he would have at least had a Monday or Tuesday lined up. In that breath, Nero did note that there was two girls he wanted to get together with, one of them being the blonde lady behind the counter at Olympus Gym who is usually reserved. “I think her husband bashes her” he noted explaining that he’s tried to get her over to his house for some sexual release.
“How’d you end up asking her” I inquired as he cockily raised his eyebrows and releasing less than expectancy, he noted “I invited her over for coffee, you know”. Walking around the house a touch more, I was surprised to find that Nero only paid $160 a week for rent. With our little stopover almost concluded, when walking back to the lounge area, rightly proud of his house and its bachelor like abidance, he pointed out his little puppy dog in a box to which was so small I didn’t realize for the whole time.
Sitting down on the couch near the fluffy white puppy I remembered how Nero noted he was going to take his puppy in the car with him and to that uttered “Now I know why you wanted to take the dog to Chevy’s, you would have pulled chicks galore”. Nero then went on to exclaim “You should have seen all the girls that swarmed around me when I took him to the vet”, automatic pussy power.
With the dog being called Jackson, I dubbed him ‘Action Jackson’ for most of my dialogue about the cute pup, knowing that it will stick like other names have in the past. Saying goodbye to his puppy and having finished their smoking pot, we closed up the house and jumped back into the car for preparation to head down to the City.
