Nobody Wants Chevy’s

Losing sight of Tyler, I caught up with him near the bar in the middle of the club, chatting away with Ned, Binh, Keith and Tamsen. Cautiously approaching them, I pulled up to the ensemble and taking a good look at the people who would accompany me to Chevy’s, I knew a change of mind was at hand. As I stood there with a shitted look on my face, I asked the rounds to see who was heading to Chevy’s.

Keith presumed I was worried about Tamsen heading down there as well but I didn’t really care about someone who had rocks in her head regarding such a dumb-witted decision to go back out with Keith (Tino’s words). Tyler was pairing off in conversation with Binh, Keith was with Tamsen and I would have been that big pink thumb, just sticking out with insecurity, making my night all the worse.

What made me feel less inclined to make that big step through uncertainty to Chevy’s was Tamsen’s mimicking pranks. Standing there with one hand on my hip as our group farted around not sure on what they were doing, Tamsen decided to imitate my stance which pissed me off but I didn’t show it in my wayward glance.

Taking a small walk around, I wanted to find Lyssa so I could unleash some of my anger to her eager ears but as I had seen her earlier at the far bar with everyone else, I knew that this idea wouldn’t work. Tyler also looked shitted because he knew that I didn’t want to head to Chevy’s due to Keith and Tamsen heading there and there not being enough people.

I explained how it was alright with just Tyler and myself last time but now, we had the weight of idiots on our back who would loom in the background.

Two Cent Pyramid

As the group made their way towards the front end of the Catholic Club were the pokies started, Binh and Tyler leant against a wall chatting as they patiently waited. Seeing that Redd, Linh and Diamond were chatting away near our group with Ned joining in I wanted to be a part of something and didn’t want to stand where I didn’t feel a part.

Therefore, I decided it was time to gamble a small amount of money which would more or less determine the eventfulness of my night. The possibilities of winning looked slim in my favor as I straddled up on a two cent pyramid machine, my favorite. From the onset, my chances looked slight as no big wins were notching up and as I got the credits down to two more spins, I spun up 40 credits.

Tripling up and favoring my luck, I made all my money back and content, kept playing my luck. Again, I got down to my proper spin and what do you know, 15 free games. Sitting back, I was pissed off that nothing came up for five turns and at the end of it all, I hardly won enough to call it a win. Playing my winnings slightly down to $10, I took the money out, happy that something went right for the night, even though it was a small win.

Heading over to the money vendors to grab myself a ten dollar note, I noticed Lyssa, Penelope and Naqi heading up the laneway on their way out. Lingering enough to feel them breathing behind me, I made my way to the last row of pokies, sitting two seats away from Redd as he was still talking with Diamond. Seconds later I noticed Lyssa and the rest of them walk past and head out to the front and away for the night.

What I figure is that this was the time that Lyssa was being a bitch to Keith. Serves the fat toad right for ever demeaning Lyssa back when the two of us were going out, trying to cause conflict between the two of us. With my temper easing slightly after they left, I felt empty, knowing that a night out with Lyssa would have been better than the ungraceful spoofs I was with. Looking like a loner as I sat two seats away from Redd, I didn’t join into to conversation.

Jonas Says Skip Chevy’s

Rather, I wanted to appear as my sick self, looking down upon the unpropitious night. Taking one last look at the sorry formation, I picked myself up and headed for the front doors, eager to walk out and head home. However, as I bumped into Jonas from work again and I told him my sorry story, him and Gustav noted that if I didn’t feel like I’d have a good time at Chevy’s, not to go. With that spark of news, I headed back into the Catholic Club, hoping that Johnnie was still floating around.

Sitting back down with Johnnie and Florian who were in the same seats, I explained the sad truth of my night and how I just wanted to sit around until midnight and then take a walk up Queen Street before heading home. This is where Johnnie offered his hospitality in taking me to Maura’s party but I declined his favorable option.

Sticking around for a further ten minutes as the last of the band’s song was played, I knew that Keith and the rest of them would be gone by now so saying goodbye to Johnnie and Florian, I grieved to the thought that I was alone for the night. This seemed to be the pattern for the whole night, my seemingly looking like I was alone. For the whole night I didn’t fit into any puzzle of people and I didn’t even seem to fit with Binh and Tyler when later I did attend Chevy’s.

Tyler Makes Excuses

Just a quick depressant to the night’s planning and my further envy that Lyssa can pull off a memorable weekend without fail, every weekend. Just giving Tyler a call on his mobile phone and then at home, I wasn’t too optimistic about his response for the night. “What are we doing tonight” I asked Tyler, not too keen anymore on heading to the city due to lack of interest.

“I can’t go to the City anymore” he anxiously replied and as I noted my lack of interest for the city anyway, his response didn’t get any better. Basically making up some bullshit story, Tyler told me how his dad was sick and how he had to stay home and look after the kids. As loaded full of shit as this story was, I didn’t really care and ending our conversation, I hung up, wondering what to do next.

Shawn Calls With Gossip

For the past couple of hours I’ve been trying to find something to do for tonight but each alley that I look down, I find it to be a dead end. Thankfully, just as I was about to pick up the phone and call Shawn, the telephone rang for me and who was it, Shawn. Seeing if I had left yet for the City, I noted how I broke the plans so as not to make it sound like I was dogged so infamously.

Shawn and I aren’t on that mental bond like we used to be and like noted, he tends to hang out with Ralf more now. That’s why Shawn is headed to some club they haven’t even heard of in Penrith in which Shawn was calling to coax me into such a night. During our conversation I found out some more juicy gossip in which everyone hates Keith now.

Keith dogged it big time again last night where Binh wasn’t going to head to Chevy’s but was persuaded by Keith saying that it was his third year anniversary with Tamsen so he had to go. In the end, rod only ended up staying for five minutes leaving Binh with Tyler only and I guess I was a survival package when I did finally show up.

Shawn told me how Ralf only talks about how much of a dog Keith is and I figure that I’ll get some consolation from going out with Ralf tonight if I so do chose but I don’t want to put up with his bullshit. I also know that his choice of club will be shit because I’m going with him and it’s something he’s never heard of before.

If I was to go out with the both of them, I would rather heading out to some club where we can just sit around and just chill out like we had done at the Catholic Club, with the option of heading to a club thereafter.

Home Alone Again

Shawn told me he would call me later tonight but I don’t think I will be accepting any of their plans soon. Rather, I’ll probably sit at home, alone, typing on my computer and desperately lonely. Life is continually pissing me off. I don’t have the right attitude to pick up women, my acquaintances are all idiots who dog and can’t conform on ideas and I have a girlfriend who is always doing her weekends the right way, making me feel all the more bad.

Tonight I’ll be sitting at home, watching a rented movie and in comparison, Lyssa will be heading out to some club, chatting up some guy and then heading home, ringing me the next day and telling me how great her night was. You can see why I envy Lyssa’s life and how I feel that sense of insecurity. The strength is such that I want a piece of Lyssa’s good fortune by having her sleep over on Sunday night.

Life does have its twists and turns and this whole week I have been looking forward to the weekend and all of a sudden, because of one bad night, I now look worse off. I’m miserable, thinking those ever-remaining thoughts that I will never find someone, I will always be alone and the acquaintances I know now I will now for the rest of my life, never able to break free. Life pisses me off and the depression that goes along with it.
