A Better Night’s Sleep
Finally, some decent sleep has shaded onto me tonight after a week of harassing changes. Not only did my sleep get ruined at home but I was thwarted mostly on my way to work and my way back from work with irregular sleeping patterns. Tonight is the first night for a week that I haven’t felt run down by my cold and overrun by my lack of sleep throughout the day and night.
And as for the train staff at Campbelltown Station, who made my life a laborious one, I have a bone to pick with them. Ever since I got myself booked for jumping off an express train at Campbelltown, I’ve had to avoid such a penalty. Catching the normal trains home proved to be a burden as I usually wouldn’t get a seat next to a window and even if I did, the cold window wouldn’t be anywhere near the comfortable seats of an express train.
Therefore, I was losing forty five minutes of credible sleep each night and considering I only get around six hours of sleep a night, I depend on those hours. What’s more, I get so tired on normal trains that I sleep with my head upright, fearing the snap-back of the neck which jolts me back to an awakened and wary state. Furthermore, in the mornings I haven’t been getting too great a sleep on the trains so there are my two hours of extra possible sleep thwarted.
Ticket Gates That Lasted a Week
The thing that pisses me off about the staff at Campbelltown Station and the Station itself is their short-lived abuse of power. The guys with the badges and the cops came out in full force when they finally got the ticket gates working. They didn’t only serve up a horde of tickets and fines but they built revulsion amongst commuters. They were so headstrong with their power, striking up as much tickets and stopping as much people as possible. However, I find myself a cynic of their ever opening the ticket gates as after one bristling week of arrogance, they’re not even manned anymore.
The novelty of ticket gates has passed for Campbelltown Station and it pisses me off how now you can just walk through the ticket gates as they are closed down. There aren’t even any guys working there, not even to stop you if you had no ticket. Ages ago they sought to open the station and got to the point of putting in the ticket gates but they yanked them back out again. After one week of use, I think they’re heading back down the same track as the badge guys are probably getting tired of ridicule each time they hand out a ticket.
My Little Idiosyncrasy
This month has only a couple more days until it is over and as per usual, the month of excitement is coming to a crawling decline. As the trend usually states, the start of next month should be filled with new beginnings and originality. The staling weekends are starting to wear down the end of this month and it won’t be long until they tip the scales fully into a reversal. As I sit here tonight, prepared for the four nights of chronology yet to speak of, I have but two details to share, an idiosyncrasy and a small ambition.
Firstly, just after writing this paragraph I am going to prepare myself to complete some sit-ups as I want to keep the trend of Saturday night’s workout going. In addition, I guess I’ll have to write what I remember of that workout from this paragraph forth. The idiosyncrasy of mine is to note that as usual, I’ve just had my shower and with the towel around my soaking hair, I sit here in the nude, typing. When at times I do have clothes on, my minor eccentricity would be a now instant reaction, mostly unaware of it.
When most I sit at this computer with only pants on, I usually grab the mobile portion from my pants and bring it outside atmosphere of my revering pants. All I can say is that my little boys need air so I give it to them. They don’t feel any more than slight pressure as the band around my pants pushes them up as a super bra would for boobs. The only difference, mine are still hanging loose, just higher than they should be. Well, there you go, my idiosyncrasy, now, my Saturday’s workout…
Saturday’s Workout
Chest: There won’t be much detail upon the day but I will whiz through it as quick as possible. The first exercise was Peck Deck Fly’s where with 120 pounds I pushed out 15 reps. Bench Press was next with 130 pounds for 12 reps and then Decline Dumbbell Press with 40 pounders and 12 reps. Machine Seated Bench Press was next with 120 pounds for 12 reps and my last exercise for Chest was Cable Crossovers with 40 pounds each side for 12 reps. Deciding to increase the range of body-parts, I done a set of Triceps Cable Pushdowns with 40 pounds for 30 reps.
Deltoids: Cable Upright Rows was next with 40 pounds and a further 20 reps. Seeming this wasn’t a proper shoulder exercise, I then began with 40 pounders on Dumbbell Shoulder Press for 8 reps and lightening the load to 35 pounds I completed a further 12.
Back: Deciding to leave this exercise light of sets, I started with Seated Cable Rows and after 12 reps with 120 pounds I stopped. Neutral Grip Lat Pulldowns with 110 pounds was also tested, completing a further 12 reps.
Arms and Legs
Biceps: Always loving this body-part, I started with Preacher Cable Curls and with 40 pounds I completed a commanding 12 reps. Moving to Alternate Dumbbell Curls with 30 pounders I scored myself at least 15 reps, alternating between the hammer grip, finally completing an exhaustive set. Reverse Cable Curl was the last for the arms where with 35 pounds I completed 12 reps.
Legs: Deciding to pioneer my legs through their first performance in quite a while, I started with 120 pounds on Leg Extensions, completing a content 15 reps. Just going through the motions for the most of the day, I moved to Lying Leg Curls and with 60 pounds I pushed out a grand 20 reps.
Abdominals: Quite simple, it was three sets on Ab Crunches Machine and with 40 pounds throughout, I completed 30 reps per set. Turning from side to side mostly for my oblique muscles, I felt the usual ache when stretching backwards.
Sick of Boiled Chicken
Just a quick note now before I begin with chronology commencing from Thursday at work. Last night before getting myself to sleep mum walked in and handed me the usual, chicken. Now boiled chicken can only get you so far before you start loathing the same meal and for the past couple of nights, I’ve turned my head away from eating chicken as I’ve gotten used to it so much that I’m sick of it. After a hardy discussion with mum last night and her going shopping today, I asked her to supplement foods like fish, more yogurt, more fruits and canned foods into my fortnightly buy.
Chicken is starting to get boring and sure enough, mum satisfied my desires upon coming home today. The meal that was lined up today, ready for me to eat was a banana, cheese and bacon bread and a piece of cake. Mum had also bought some fresh fish for me to eat for two or three nights but I declined them as she had also baked me up a huge piece of pumpkin. In reality, it’s half a pumpkin that mum’s baked in the oven and I haven’t even gotten through a quarter of it before I started feeling full.
In addition to this pumpkin, when coming home on the train today, I had two pieces of pumpkin to break a twenty dollar bill. Let’s hope that pumpkin won’t be the next excessive food that I turn off because I think it’s a good food. Chicken just doesn’t have any taste when it’s boiled and although it’s helped me keep my innards clean of excessive fat and it’s helped me in reducing my fat, it’s time for a sweeter change.
