Loose Thoughts and Lost Zeal
With each day’s passing I leave behind a barge of notes that I have not yet grown accustomed to completing. This month does hold many loose thoughts about all ordeals faced to me but as noted, I do not have the will or the energy to speak of anything rather than what’s at hand, chronology. It seems that in these past few months my zeal has been cut short as bad fortune has been stacking up against me.
Yes, I used to be a playboy back in 1996, I used to be able to talk confidently to anyone and I used to have such a drive to succeed with all facets of my life but now, all gone. So where is the worth in philosophy if philosophy shows no worth to this unworthy journey brought about. The only will to push on is for the hope that I will bury this deep hole and climb out of it to my former self and beyond. Let those days come and let not these quarrels quarrel me deeper into oblivion, I say it so…
What I Should Have Said
Before I begin with chronology let me just get some of those factual philosophies and points out of the way. Firstly, when I called ‘The Writers Center’ seeking a way to get my poetry published I remember the lady telling me “There’s plenty of competitions you can enter your poetry into so you can win prizes”. As always, I think more upon a subject matter after it has been spoken and only then do I come up with the best response that would have been intelligent if said then.
My response should have been “I don’t want a competition, I want recognition, for my poetry”. There are many occasions where I have to deliberate upon a subject by myself and with my thoughts so that I can get the best result. In fact, it happened yesterday when I had to attend that interview and with some careful forethought I said something like “I learnt to type before I learnt to walk”, it was a big winner.
Mum’s Master Plan
Other news is that mum has a big master plan for the money she has stashed away for a kitchen and for the rest of this house. There is however an idiosyncrasy about my mum when it comes to being cheap but generous with her money. For one, mum is always after the basement-bargain and if it was up to her (Like it mostly always is) everything new in this house would be the cheapest product of its kind.
Take for example the couches, the purchase of a heating oven instead of a microwave, buying me cheap shirts from Menangle Markets, conservative food purchases and now, her bid to buy me a heater for my room but of course, the cheapest on offer. Luckily dad is taking over the reigns on that little project so I don’t end up with a $10 heater from the reject shop that doesn’t work.
However, despite all these cheap efforts, my mum has decided to divulge upon herself and the family for the next year or so. Her ultimate plan after the kitchen has been installed upstairs is to begin work on a kitchen for downstairs. However, it won’t be as flash as upstairs but it will allow me to basically live downstairs without ever having a need to head up there. Having already placed a down-payment on the upstairs kitchen it will be around six weeks when it will finally get installed.
War News and Shakespeare
Now, these weeks begin to become a bit more stale as they have aged with the ethers of this diary much longer, maybe a week. However, more recent intelligence has gathered information to find that Russia has now joined with the rest of the world. This means that all of Europe is a whole and Kosovo now has no allies and is all alone. The war is just about over to my liking as I feel Kosovo will sign a peace deal. Nevertheless, thus far, we have received five thousand refugees to Australia where they headed to the Holsworthy Barracks. Last night we saw huge fog lights coming from that area.
Another stale thought I would like now to attend is that of what I had seen as a commercial on television. As you all know, I love Shakespeare and when I noticed the remnants of a commercial just flicking off television about a Shakespearean play in the City at the Bell Shakespeare company I was elated. Having past this building on many occasions when I worked with Frank I was always intrigued by the costumed ticket collectors out the front and now, I want to make seeing a dramatic play a must.
As words of Shakespeare are like words in music, where in both, I try to find my truth in words. It is easier to hear a song and embed those words into your reality of truth than to deliberate with yourself and thus, music is the moderator to my mind. Therefore, let us couple with a word and let us part on a word, as it was said, to thee, we shall, to chronicles attend…
Before Friday Begins
Let I smite this entrappéd darkness-veil, hope that it shall get no spawn that it hath. Poetry has to these veins obscured worth, and worth has been, to a worthier opponent foreseen. Before I begin now the chronicles of Friday night let me just note that I was called around 9:00 p.m. on Thursday night by Shawn.
Thursday night might have also been the night where Keith made my heart ail with curiosity, one that I should not have had or cared not have. Nevertheless, as Keith is, always nonchalant and effortless in his thoughtless endeavors, he hath no sense of hurt if hurt he doth not sense. On Thursday night I got myself to sleep at an early 11:00 p.m. and that my friend, was more than enough time for slumberous pride.
Suit and Centrelink
Friday morning I needn’t had set my alarm because I woke up a clear half an hour before my time. Nevertheless, for the half an hour before waking up at 8:30 a.m. I was already awake and trying to get a touch more sleep. Despite this desire for some extra wink I did get up early and begin readying myself for my day in Alexandria. For the next hour and a half I had my shower, something simple to eat, readied my papers and then asked dad if he could give me a lift to the station.
There was no problem with that as he started up the car and we made our way through the ripening daylight to the carpark for Centrelink. Thanking my dad for the lift I walked rather demurely in my suit through the pickets of normally clad people to hand in my form. I looked so out of place with a suit in Centrelink that it felt like everyone’s eyes were on me and I wouldn’t be too far off with that conjecture. Even the ladies from behind the counter were looking at me in a awe-struck deservancy.
Girls on the Platform
En route was my trip to Centrelink in that I now had to make my way to my proper destination, the station. Bothering not to buy myself a ticket as I only had enough money for a bus home I made my way to the prevalent platform and waited. This time around the girls weren’t as luscious as what had been seen days earlier but there was one event where a decent, good looking blonde sat next to me.
Wearing a gray skirt that looked like space material I was somewhat attracted to her style but my train arrived before I could get a chance to look her over properly. It took half an hour for my train to arrive which gave me plenty of time to adore the lady beauty and on the train I was more swept up with this beauty as I sat near it. Jumping off at Sydenham I had to wait for my next train to St. Peters which only took a couple of minutes.
Noticed by the Ladies
It seems to me that on Friday I was starting to get a bit noticed from the lady population but what didn’t help was my ability to be so austere-looking in the face that girls would buckle under their thoughts of what retribution I would give. The best part of that second trip was when I jumped off at St. Peters and noticed a beautiful girl with long black hair in a ponytail, denim pants and a great set (A handful and a half) on her.
She walked the same way I was headed and we were side to side of each other at the main lights but because I am who I am now, I didn’t care to say anything. Tight lipped I was and when she began walking slightly in front of me and I noticed her ‘Cab-55’ Handbag I knew she was my kind of woman. Pity, fools do not tread where treaded is thin and I thinly tread, yet do hinder my chance of being a fool when I say nothing with what words do walk.
