Jett Wants To Escape
Saying my farewell to Keith, I thought it would be the last time I heard from him for the night but I was to be sorely wrong. Heading into my house my main concern after grabbing something to eat was to call Jett back because I learnt he had called me again whilst out. There was something up with Jett, he was persistent to come over my house. I could only judge by my perception and I thought that because he was living at Anders’s house and Anders was out somewhere, he felt awkward being there.
Therefore, Jett was eager to get out of the house and Maddox probably wasn’t home either so Playstation at my house seemed like a good idea to escape for a while. If Jett ever wanted to stay at my house I think I would gladly accept it because mum seems to take a shine to him each time he’s over our house. She’ll walk down the stairs and start chatting to him in her silly mimicking voice against herself. They always chat about his mum and how he’s doing, you know the deal.
Playstation With Jett
Within fifteen minutes Jett made his way over after our telephone call. In that time I tried to write for the second time on Saturday about my adventures but of course, it had to get cut short some time. Sitting down in my room we chatted for a couple of minutes as I turned on some tunes and then it was off to the Playstation for some vivid game-play.
Jett showed me a new game he had copied that was sort of like Sim City and Settlers in which you had to build a town for a mob boss including things like porn shops and clubs. It was a funny little game but Jett couldn’t figure it out and as he gave it to me for some advice I couldn’t get a grasp on it either. From that game he showed me another game similar to ‘Metal Gear Solid’ in which we played a couple of stages from it.
‘Tiger Woods Golf’ was also on the list of games to play as Jett and I had a great time playing. The rivalry was certainly there on my behalf as it prepped up the game but Jett was just modestly sitting there and having a cackle at my commentary. At one stage I was four or five shots behind but slowly I built up by good putts while Jett had more trouble on the green than hitting the longer shots.
In the end it all came down to one shot in which I just beat him by a swing. ‘Need For Speed High Stakes’ was also a game in which we had fun playing. We took turns being a cop, being against each other and doubling up against the cops. Our final game was of course Gridiron but Jett was very rusty on this one. For this reason I allowed a fair game by allowing myself to get sacked easily or throwing balls to nowhere so it could be an even game.
By the style in which I was doing it Jett didn’t even notice I was taking it easy and as the full time whistle blew the score was tied at 16 a piece. Hanging into overtime, Jett won the toss and he made it all the way to my 20 yard line but on the last down he inadvertently decided to run it instead of go for a field goal because he wasn’t aware that any points would have won the game.
I broke the play up on the fourth down and careened down the field until we arrived near the 20 yard line. About this time the siren hooted and from what I thought we would have more sudden death the game was over, tied. Who could ask for a better ending than that chivalrous ending, such in need of humble play for a humbled day.
Keith And Shawn Turn Up
A few hours into our boisterous game-play where the speakers were pumping I heard a faint knock on the door. Outside it was just starting to get dark and as I looked out the window I noticed Keith’s car parked alongside my curb. Why Keith would consider coming to my house when he knew I had to get ready soon to head out was beyond me but I gathered that he wanted to rub some salt into his own wounds of being left out.
Coming over my house was as close as he was going to get to the action for the night and as close as he was going to get to try and convert me. Keith had seen me as the easiest person to convert and he gathered that if I fell through on the night then the link between Tyler and Binh would also come tumbling down and Keith would eventually get what he wanted, his own way. In the end no one would end up going out and Keith would be satisfied with having blundered anyone’s hope of a good night for his own personal gloating tendencies.
Keith was at my door with Shawn and I could tell as they walked into my house with a smirk on their faces that they were talking about me behind my back, putting me down for my involvement of Byblos. As I shepherded them into my room I also thought about Jett and how both him and Keith would have some resentment towards each other for some reason. I thought that because Jett is going out with Min-Su and she’s best friends with Keith’s ex girlfriend so it would create some rivalry and tension.
Well, at least in Keith’s eyes I could see that Keith resented Jett being with Min-Su and I remember once a couple of days after his beak-up that he uttered, “I don’t think Jett and Min-Su are meant for each other, they’re too different and they won’t last much longer.” This obviously was believed for his own envious satisfaction and from these actions is how I believe that Keith is being prudish when it comes to his association with Jett.
Jett on the other hand is uncaring to this whole event despite his siding with Tamsen and loathing of Keith for treating her like shit. So you can see how I can get this sense of tension between the both of them from what I have heard off the both of them. Keith tells me he doesn’t resent Jett and Jett is along the same line but I know that they both would have felt just a touch off being in the room together.
Keith’s Jibes
With Keith and Shawn now at my house to nurture for their excluded selves, we filled up the time by playing some more Golf. From the first instance that Keith walked through the door he thought to put me down because I was headed to Byblos and he wasn’t. Keith was saying things like, “So you’re going to Byblos aye, make sure you don’t get fucked up the ass” trying to make it seem like I was headed out for a bad night.
Shawn was standing there saying nothing himself but he was urging Keith on. Keith obviously picked up Shawn so he could have a bitch about his exclusion from the night, and because Shawn wasn’t invited either, they would have found common ground. Keith also remarked, “Are you going to dress faggy for tonight” and considering I always wear the same sort of dress clothes everywhere else and he never calls me a fag, I knew he was just being envious.
Jett on the other hand was being far from the complacent remarks of Keith and instead of putting me down he was the force in words that patted me on the back and told me that I looked good in what I wore. I felt like chopping Keith by saying “Well, I’m going to have a great night tonight and you’re going to sit at home twiddling your fingers so say what you like,” but I voted against it because I knew it would cut him too much. Therefore, I just took what knocks Keith gave me in a submissive nod and went about getting myself ready by having a shower, clothing myself and then combing my hair.
As this was happening we were all having a crack up playing golf because I worked out that the Playstation couldn’t cope with the animation’s speed if I kept pressing all the vocal buttons for their shot. When it was time to press the button for depth of shot it would jerk up and down the bar and it would be hard to get it accurate. Therefore, we had a lot of fun with that until it got to the point where it was unbearable to play.
Keith was giving me his one last push to try and persuade me in an aside way to stay home and reconsider going to a gay club. I figured that they planned to stay over my house for as long as they could hold me up and that’s just what they done. At one stage in the night the thought of staying home and not going out had crossed my mind but I didn’t let Keith get the better of me and I knew that if I had stayed home it wouldn’t have been as good as a decent night out.
Binh And The Toll
Binh also called Keith’s mobile phone around 8:30 p.m. asking if he was going to head out for the night but Keith told him no. With that I knew he was heading over in a couple of minutes but I was a bit disappointed at how stingy for principle Binh was. You see, back at his bakery shop Binh agreed to take me in his car as long as I paid for the toll.
Despite my confirming that I had no money, Binh insisted that I should pay and knowing his stubborn nature, I knew I couldn’t get a lift unless I paid for one part of the toll. Therefore, I didn’t really have much of a choice apart from paying. However, the dumbness of the principle is that only people that don’t drive have to pay because people who drive can always pay him back by driving. It was a bit unfair I must admit but it turned out to be a good night anyway.
Time For A New Alliance
A few minutes before Binh arrived Keith left to his own capers and I feel he only left because he didn’t want to look diminutive when Binh arrived. When 9:00 p.m. arrived Binh made his debut to my house and putting the finishing touches on my getting ready, I helped Jett pack up his Playstation as he was ready to head back to Anders’s house on his mountain bike and then it was off in Binh’s car to Tyler’s house.
Binh hadn’t been dressed yet and knowing he had to wear something in style for Byblos (preferably tight and black) he knew that only Tyler could help him out in that department. The conversation to Tyler’s house was very colorful and descriptively antagonizing against Keith. Both of us seemed to agree that Keith was only trying to be selfish whilst putting us down. We also agreed that Keith was only looking after his own needs and as we talked of all that jazz we seemed to bond that little bit more.
Having said this I now believe it is time to form a new alliance with three main players, Binh, Tyler and Ace. Their attitudes and characters best suit me as the three of them each have a trait that I find very significant in a friend. For one, they all have the same sort of principles as me when it comes to going out and having fun. Whilst Tyler is more the 18 year old I want to be and is best suited to my temperament, Binh is the sincerity and Ace is the outgoing flavor I need.
Together the four of us form a good combination and I’m sure we could have years of fun ahead of us if we did realize that this foursome would be a great new beginning. Each person will have their vast significance towards the planning of an outing and the overall good night we would have. The big decisions and actions will revolve around the four of us and together we could attract new little groups of people to our group, sort of like the old days of Goon Girls and Kentlyn.
