Lyssa Has Changed

Oh what troubles this heart hath witnessed for these hands to bleed. I have with Lyssa learnt to which, nothing ails me more than that bitch. It is in these hours that I thank my fate charm for breaking off so it wouldn’t have to witness the torment of the now super bitch. Lyssa used to be different but I feel that now she’s found herself Ralf, she feels she doesn’t have to treat me with any dignity or respect anymore.

That’s why she shits all over me when possible. She gets easily irritated when I try to speak sense to her in an undulated tone and she thinks she’s above me and that I’m worthless enough not to care about. It doesn’t bother me at all that Lyssa and I hardly talk anymore or that I’m not getting my end in, simply because I don’t care for her anymore.

That little spurt of emotion about a week or two ago only came because I was reading thoughts of the past in my diary and even so, I knew the reality of Lyssa’s bitchiness. Lyssa is phasing her emotions out for me and gaining new feelings for this Ralf guy whom I heard was a lady’s man. What’s more, I think Lyssa is becoming like Penelope everyday, a ‘What If’ snobby and up herself kind of girl.

Naqi is also doing the same thing with the hairstyle of Penelope and her attitude so I would say that the three of them are now meant for each other and I was the outsider in those years out with Lyssa, not good enough to be a hack on other people. Lyssa and I are really a world apart and it didn’t take me her actions to figure it out I’ve known how Lyssa reacts for a long time now. I know her inside out.

The Plan For Lunch

Allow me to skip to the more personal, scornful and finer details of the day relating to descriptive prose. Having called Lyssa last night on the phone to work out a plan, I didn’t push myself directly into the topic but asked considerately if she would be able to pay tomorrow for the television so kindly given to her. What more service could you ask, a television for a cheap price, home delivered and a week to gather money. Lyssa had all the time in the world to work out how much she was going to put aside but because Lyssa is hopeless with money and worthless at saving, I knew I would be encountering a hard tribunal.

The plan last night was for me to head to Lyssa’s work just before she had lunch or around that time (in which I would have to go out of my way when it should have been her), head up to her office and receive the money. However, as good as Lyssa was to thank me for getting her a television or at least acknowledging my good deed instead of showing contempt with her usual attitude, she was better to follow the plan. Please let me explain what I mean…

Up To Her Office

Today I took lunch at 12:30 p.m. (even though it was a bit of a bother) and headed straight for Lyssa’s work. Catching a train to St. James I made my way up to Lyssa’s office on the ninth floor, and then speaking to a girl called Lyssa at Reception, she sent a call through to my Lyssa (possessive form used but would rather not).

All the way to her work I was thinking to myself “I know Lyssa’s going to try and run me around and not pay me, how is she going to get out of it today.” Having no faith in her ability to pay me considering her already flat attitude towards me, I knew I had to follow through and be pleasant to Lyssa to at least get the money some way down the track.

The Receptionist told me that she would be at least ten minutes in heading out and looking at my clock I knew Lyssa was only waiting until 1:00 p.m. so she could go out and have her lunch. Once again, I was thinking to myself “If Lyssa doesn’t have the money or can’t get it for me, I hope she’s not making me wait for nothing”.

Having my own lunch to think about I was only going to receive the money and be off for lunch but there I sat for ten minutes looking in a daze at the boring walls.

A couple of minutes before Lyssa came out for lunch I noticed Penelope walk out and take Reception, repugnant old Penelope. Penelope didn’t look at me and I didn’t look at Penelope because I hate her that much. Rather, we kept our eyes away from each other and Penelope had trouble speaking loudly or properly with me there, feeling intimidated.

Walking Me Like A Leash

Lyssa finally came out just as I was starting to get stressed and as she did she glanced over at Penelope and gave her a goofy smile with a shrug of her shoulders as if to say “Sorry, I know you hate Tony but he’s here to see me.” Nudging her head at me to follow, she walked a couple of steps in front of me as if to show supremacy over me to Penelope and Lyssa on Reception. This pissed me off as I felt Lyssa thought she was walking me on a leash and taking me for a ride.

Making our way to the elevators I sat calm and without conversation as Lyssa didn’t even mention anything about money. Finally I asked Lyssa if she had the money for me and she replied “You see, I forgot to bring my keycard in today and I still haven’t taken out any money for myself.” That sounded so unlike Lyssa as I know as soon as there is money in her account she’s off buying clothes or she’s doing something else with it.

As bad as her excuse was Lyssa made me more pissed off on top of having to wait ten minutes just to hear that. Rather than telling Lyssa that she just wasted half my lunch I kept quiet as Lyssa then remarked “I’m having lunch with Bronte today and I’m just waiting for her to come out of the offices, so, I can’t have lunch with you.”

Lyssa was under the impression that I wanted to have lunch with her but I quashed her attempts to scorn me by knocking her pride-infested tone and telling her I had other plans. In that time Lyssa cut me off from conversation and made me feel like a big toe as she chatted away with a worker from her offices. Lyssa must have felt like she was getting me good but I didn’t show her how pissed off I was in my body language.

I just stood there and waited for those elevators. I should have just jumped on them without saying a thing but Lyssa would have then just thought “What a sook” and that couldn’t be further from the truth. Instead, as I jumped on an elevator she told me to ring her later in the day so she could plan giving me the money later but we both knew that couldn’t happen.

Predicting Her Excuses

Through the day there were two chances to ring Lyssa from a payphone as I went out on errands but in each time I forgot to take my wallet because it clogged up my pockets. However, Lyssa’s plan was to supposedly head home, obtain her savings card and then take out money from the bank in Campbelltown before finally going home and somehow, I don’t think that would have worked. As you might know, Lyssa doesn’t like exerting herself on any given task. That would explain why Lyssa didn’t care to pay for a taxi to my house instead of using dirty public transport.

That’s why Lyssa never wanted to do much else than stay at my house when I offered to at least walk around the block. She’s lazy. Not just lazy in her physical aspect but she’s lazy when it comes to responsibility. There was no way that Lyssa would have caught a bus home and then headed back to Campbelltown to take out money to pay for the phone and then head back home happy. There probably wasn’t even a chance that Lyssa would have caught a later train to make these arrangements happen.

What I predict is that Lyssa would have said something like “Well, I don’t want to wait for a later train so give me a call when you get to Campbelltown and we’ll see.” If we got that far when I called Lyssa from Campbelltown she would have uttered something like “I don’t have a way to get to Campbelltown so can you walk up to my house and get your money or can you get it tomorrow.” This would have been a typical Lyssa response and believe me, I’ve known her so long that it really wasn’t hard to pick up on her blatant attitude to credibility.

Lyssa ruined the rest of my lunch as I only had ten minutes to eat which I bought some sushi and ate it on St. James platform when heading back to work. At work I was flustered and angered but I didn’t take it out on anyone. Rather, I just kept my plights of vengeance to myself and let the vocabulary and emotion of pent up anger build for my rendezvous with her later in the night.
