Keith Needs A Listener
Heading back to my house with an inordinate man far too contemptuous to his ladylove, we parked the car at the front and then headed inside. Keith looked racked, like he wanted to spill his guts but only pinched a few holes of emotional outpouring. You could sense his need for someone to just listen to all his problems about his hopes to get Tamsen back but I guess he doesn’t see me as that person.
Keith needs someone that listens and can sit on the fence and my first guess would be Binh but I feel that Keith probably doesn’t approach him because his brother went out with Tamsen. Anyway, when in my house we sat around trying to figure out what to do for our Friday night. Keith informed me again that Ralf wanted to head out to ‘The Cave’ at Sydney Harbor Casino.
Ralf’s Terrible Plans
You would think that he would have given up on that idea when receiving no turnaround last week but here he is again trying his hand at it. A truth about Ralf is that when he normally makes suggestions for a nightclub no one listens because it will either be shit or Ralf boasts about it where he hasn’t actually been there before. We all know what to expect when Ralf plans something and we all know to be wary whenever we half-heartedly agree to head off with him.
When I learnt that only Keith, Ralf and Shawn were on the list to head out for the night, I wasn’t too keen on going. As far as I was concerned, Ralf and Keith weren’t my idea of company when it came to enjoying myself. For one, they are both taller and more copious than I, so they will entertain each other well where meanwhile, I fall under another star.
Then there is the fact that Ralf tends to blab on about nothing exacting the same result with his actions so it makes me not want to be anywhere near him on a buddy-buddy level, especially on the dancefloor, the most infamous place to be standing when next to Ralf. As far as Keith goes, I didn’t want to be around his sulking depressions. Binh didn’t want to come out because he was going to have a quiet night and when we called up Tyler it was the same story.
Dodging The Night Out
Ace was keen to stay home instead of head to ‘The Cave’ and that is where we ran into a drought. With my bellowing about the night, Keith had changed his temperate mind as he started to see it my way when realizing there would only be two and a half of us, me, Keith and half-witted Ralf. Keith changed his mind with that, not wanting to head out anymore but his only problem now was breaking the news to Ralf on how he wasn’t going.
“I made a promise that I would go tonight,” Keith uttered his fed conscience in a bid to persuade me to the darker more sinister side. However, my mind was set and so to console him, I said that he could blame it on my not having money. With this excuse fresh in his mind we called up Ralf and as neither of us wanted to speak with him, I asked for Ralf and then Keith talked with him.
Both of us dreaded talking to Ralf, not because he would come down on us hard with scolding remarks but because we know how hard it is to get Ralf off the phone because of his monotonous conversations. Talking to Ralf on the phone is like jumping on a skipping rope and counting “One, one, one, one” every time you skipped once. There are days when Ralf strays from topic to topic in great fluctuation and then there are the days when the whole conversation would revolve around one topic, which usually is, “What are we going to do tonight.”
Passing The Phone Around
Keith passed me the phone after a minute of speaking to Ralf and as he did, he pointed to me and laughed at what he had me endure. The reason Keith handed the phone to me was so he could get himself off the hook on explaining why exactly I couldn’t afford to go out for the night. Ralf himself couldn’t believe that Keith handed the phone to me because he never really asked for me.
“Keith only done that because he can’t tell me straight out that he doesn’t want to come out, he has to make up excuses,” he argued and after some more snickering, he asked to have Keith put back on the phone. Keith talked to him again for a couple of minutes and then in bad sport, he handed the phone to me again. This time around he handed the phone to me because it seemed like I had an idea so Keith thought it would be best if I explained it.
Keith laughed at me again but as Ralf and I talked, I found a way to divert the attention back to Keith, snarling with laughter at his expense when I did. Someone called on my call waiting which slips my memory at this sleepy moment (Probably Shawn) and as he did, Ralf said that he would be coming over my house shortly to speak about the night.
Ringing Around
Not exactly positive on what was happening at the time Ralf was meant to come over but I’m pretty sure Keith called around to see who would come out. I remember that Keith tried ringing up a girl from his working at the Leagues Club. As it turns out, she works with him behind the bar or whatever and she’s always wanted to head out to ‘The Cave’. Asking Keith to invite her and a couple of her friends, we rose to the challenge.
Despite it being very short notice and Keith not even having her phone number, we rang directory assistance and received a lot of dead ends. In the end we couldn’t get in contact with her and all was still lost. One thing we both agreed on was that we didn’t want to head all the way to ‘The Cave’ in Star City Casino and waste $20 to have a shit night we would rather have forgotten.
Ralf’s New Calais
Ralf finally came over after an hour of watching television and calling people up. When Ralf graced us with his presence there wasn’t much talk of our heading out because he already knew what the answer would be. However, to lighten things up he told me how he had just bought a new Holden Calais. Actually, Keith told me before arriving that he had bought a new car which cost him around $20,000 on a loan. While Ralf was here, we walked outside so he could show me his new Calais, which was fully optional, fit with power everything as well as cruise control and all these other special gauges.
As the idea of not heading to ‘The Cave’ was playing on his mind, and his desire to do nothing else, he decided to head home after showing me his car. When he did leave, it just left me and Keith to try and plan an eventful night. There were many options out in the air which included heading to the Catholic Club, watching a movie, out towards Penrith or the more addictive idea of heading to Molly’s. However, this chapter shall have to be referred to another night as my eyes are tired with intoxication, and these limbs need their rest.
Body Wash And A Cold
Before going though, let me just add a couple of things to the list of points already noted. Firstly, this cold that I supposedly was going to get and could have gone either way has yielded to become nothing. Therefore, I feel that I haven’t been sick as yet this year, or at least for winter anyway. Second, I just bought some more of that body wash but this time it had exfoliating beads within it as well as a sponge thing.
Tonight I had a shower and lathered myself richly in this stuff and let me tell you, I feel like silk right now. My body doesn’t have an overwhelming flowery smell but it has given my whole body enough of a scent to attract any woman to ravish her loins, or to just simply fall asleep on my Chest.
A Song About Jewell
Most importantly now, that song ‘Crazy Love’ on the ‘Phenomenon’ Soundtrack by ‘Aaron Neville’, was sharply looked for today while shopping. When hearing the song another time I reminisced on Jewell and how it would have been one of the songs sent on the second CD had we been still going out. In regards to the technical side of that song, Jett is still going to buy a CD writer for my computer in a month’s time, learning now that it will be re-recordable which means no need to buy a CD to CD version.
More to my thoughts though, this song made me reminisce about how much I cared for Jewell and it brought me to an unprecedented conclusion. I love Jewell so dearly and for someone who poured all his heart into the most magnificent endearment of his life, a dedication CD, who am I trying to kid.
I know there is such a thing as love at first sight and for me and Jewell, I feel now that this is exactly what had transpired. You can fall in love so easily but falling out of love is a harder task altogether. I can as well fall in love with the memories of our good old days (as I do now) and wish me back but it astounds me how continually that period is referred to as a lustful period rather than a loving one.
How these love-struck eyes need to lie themselves and hurt more for not having been truthful. If love was a lie to these eyes then have my eyes struck of love for they in her saw none but this, and as ‘tis easier to tell a lie than truth, therefore, let lust have been deceit to love and love a hidden masquerade of emotion within this breast of mine. This love-struck corpse of mine has been bled with lies and misgivings of love and now, if only after the death shall these limbs breathe life again.
Let this corpséd rose arise as know seedlings of love will grow anew in death’s pardon, renewing the blossom of the past. Jewell gives me Crazy Love I must admit, adamant she is in her ways, and I too believe that we were meant to be and one day we will be back together. All the women in the world I see on the streets everyday and think them to be hot property are nothing compared to what I believe to be between Jewell and I, in mind and body…
