Starving On Oxford Street

Heading out of Byblos not too long after we stopped dancing we didn’t head straight for the car because the three of us were starving. Macdonald’s was the only thing that could quench Tyler’s appetite but no amount of food could quench my seemingly insatiable appetite for companionship or at least to have danced with a girl that night. That’s why I yearned to jump back on that dancefloor.

I wanted to accomplish my rights as man but I had that chance relinquished to the fate of tired loom. Making our way down Oxford Street, Binh mockingly grabbed my hand so we could pretend to be gay and walk down the street of acceptance. This little venture didn’t last too long before we ended our little joke but we weren’t cringing afterwards. Tyler and I done it on the way back up to the cars for some more show and to add another twist to the night.

Heading into Macdonald’s I asked Tyler to buy me an orange juice in which I would pay him back when we got to the car and as we walked back up towards Byblos I fulfilled the needs of my empty stomach. On the way to Macdonald’s and back I walked past a shop called ‘Guys and Dolls’ that I instantly fell in love with.

One of the main attractions I noticed was a ribbed skivvy and judging by the quality of the store’s products, I knew I was in for a big haul of money to buy that item. However, I fell in love as I looked around at all the products in the shop so I vouch that I will be there on the weekend to do some window shopping and of course, I’ll be in the City on Saturday to buy myself work clothes.

Dealers And Loud Singing

Making our way back to Binh’s car I recollected my thoughts of the night and regarded Byblos to have been one of the greater nightclubs that left me feeling fulfilled had it not been for the short space of time there. Walking around the block to head back to Binh’s car we were asked by some stranger who looked like he was just coming from a club if we wanted to buy an ‘E’, drugs.

This happened to us at least three times through the night and as we headed back to the car we made a joke about how dealers would sell their pills and then buy the same shit from other dealers thinking it would be better shit. Anyway, the spirit was still high from our good night as we jumped in Binh’s car, where heading down Oxford Street, our placid attitudes were disturbed by our will to be loud.

Tyler started yelling stuff out of the window first but since we were on Oxford Street (near the end of it) I started yelling out “Show us your dick” making fun of the usual saying “Show us your tits.” This carried on most of the way out of the City as Tyler done the people on his side of the street and I on my side. We mixed up our calls a bit nearing the exit of the City and with it we made Binh break out in laughter. Binh was having his own adventitious night as he kept inadvertently pressing the horn button. This happened around six times in the whole night.

For the rest of the way home we started singing poorly to whatever song was on the radio at that current moment. We didn’t try to sound good but rather we were rather intentional at sounding bad and being plain simpletons when it came to singing in pitch. This created a great memory for our trip home as I lost my voice halfway into the third song. There were times when we were singing so ridiculously that I couldn’t help but to start laughing in bouts during my own incantation.

There was also my being a pest as I sat in the back seat, spraying both Tyler and Binh on the back of their necks with my Lynx Deodorant. However, I had more fun with Tyler as he kept jumping up in surprise each time I done it to him and complained in his comical way that it stung with cold when I sprayed him. Oh, what a night it was as we headed home, glad that we had such a night to remember, just the three of us, the Three Amigos.

Binh’s Laptop Offer

There was an important part of bonding conversation as we made our way past the toll into the depths of our hometown. I’m pretty sure we started talking about my new job and how much I was getting paid and from there ventured into what I wanted to buy. Stating that a laptop computer was next on the list after buying clothes, Binh paused for a second and then noted that he had his laptop computer that he wanted to sell.

Thinking he would come up with some large price as I heard he bought it for a heap of money I was surprised when Binh told me he would sell it for $1,500. Sitting there keen to what he had to say, Binh explained that the laptop cost him that same amount of money and it is originally worth around $6,000 but it’s stolen goods and that’s why it’s so cheap. The laptop comes with over 3 Gig of memory, Windows 98, CD Rom, Zip Drive, Printer, Modem and its own carry case.

To me, this sounds like a great offer and Binh told me that he would sell it to me if I could pay in one go. Chatting about it some more and telling him that it would take me at least five months he told me that it wasn’t going anywhere and if I had the money in that time he would sell it to me. So there I have it, something to look forward to in five months of working.

My dream of having a laptop will finally come true. The sooner I get to typing on the way to work and back the better it will be for my memoirs and possibly for my future chances of any sort of publication or benefit. This laptop will be the next step into a new era of my life. It will be one step closer to being whole, to having come full circle with what I want to achieve.

I have a job, I need a car, a girlfriend a stable life, great weekends out and a laptop computer. At least three of them I have right now. The rest of this year will be dedicated to getting those end results. Let me see, five months from now will be around the middle of November. Therefore, I will most probably have a laptop computer before the start of Christmas Decorations are put up and way before the new year so if I travel for my new year, I’ll be taking my laptop.

Sunday And The Bonfire Days

Heading now to Sunday, as noted it was a day of relaxing. On Sunday I woke up around 10:00 a.m. but basically the rest of the day has been noted. Nevertheless, I don’t think I had the scope to speak of my last relaxing couple of hours until I finally got to sleep around 10:30 p.m. Hey, actually, I was on my diary for the whole day and night and I did stop to go to sleep so there you have it, the most of my Sunday.

Speaking now of philosophical tendencies, I have a couple of loaves of bread to add. Firstly, after some careful consideration and reading into the past of my life I have come to a conclusion that we have to bring back a portion of our old ancestry in order to make things work today. Back in the days of Kentlyn and the bonfire nothing bonded more and for that vision I thought it would be a great idea to bring that segment of living back into our lives.

We used to go out to heaps of parties and unlike today, we weren’t constricted to just having a great time on weekends. When we were young we had a great time almost every night as we went out to steal gnomes or do some other form of erratic behavior that kept us heaving through our moments and had us talking at the back of Pizza Hut.

Howeverso, whichever way we look at it, those days are gone and here are the days of maturity and responsibility. Now we are stuck into a routine of believing that enjoyment can only come on weekends and at the expense of professional venues like clubs or bars. We have forgotten how to claim our old ways and for that we have lost our way to bring people into the group through the disintegration of the bonfire days.

However, despite those days being gone, I have had two great weeks and have at least two more great weeks to look forward to. This weekend I am possibly heading out to Club Troppo as it is the long weekend and when next weekend arrives we might possibly be headed out to Skirmish, only a possibility. We might not get invited out to parties anymore because we have grown out of that living but we have grown accustomed to nightclubs, a party every weekend.

My whole life has been a race against time, a race to become the success I wish upon myself, the race to achieve my dreams that are so forlorn in reality but so vivid in susceptibility. This is but one stage of my life in lieu to the top of my dreams and I hope that I reach those dreams before these pages find a resolute but undeserving ending.

Vitamin E And Lyssa

Just two more little thoughts before I head into today’s most recent chronology. Firstly, all these blemishes and marks from pimples that have been on my skin have finally started to recede. I thank the powers of Vitamin E Cream and without it my face wouldn’t be as fresh and my shoulders and Trapezius area wouldn’t have cleared so quickly. Secondly, just a small thought regarding Lyssa despite my will to forget about her completely.

This thought came to me a night or two ago as I was writing my last grievances regarding our relationship. I remember a long time ago when Lyssa and I were going out that everyone used to think we were so different for each other. That was such a true statement as Lyssa and me were from opposite ends of the world in every aspect of our life, apart from our complete devotion to each other.

Although Lyssa and I were so different I believe that we made our relationship work and proved everyone wrong because we learnt to put our differences aside. The only times our egos and characters clashed was when Lyssa and I argued in which we would come into disagreement for some reason or other. Near the end of our relationship I really started to feel the loving relationship between the both of us but it was soon to be over.

When our relationship was finished our differences were soon brought out into the harsh open and for that we could never get along properly again. I was stubborn and Lyssa was relentless and really, there is no way that two forms can combine under this stress. Lyssa took away her will to keep our differences aside for the sake of old love and even though she noted that she loved me 100% that wasn’t a reality as we argued over the littlest things. Nevermore, our sham is not my shame…
