Heading Into The City Broke
To speak of today now, let us begin with my waking up at 10:30 a.m. Again, I slept in quite a bit but through the night I had to sleep on the ground because I was uncomfortable. When a couple of hours past whilst sleeping on the ground I made my way back up to the warmth of my waterbed for the remainder of the morning. When eyes finally did greet the light of day I had something to eat, a shower and then prepared myself for a day in the City.
Having only $5 to my name the only expenditure I wanted to consider for the day was buying a $2 train ticket and if I was lucky, I wouldn’t even need that. Trying to compact the description as best I can, the walk was not without the brisk sweating. The purchasing of a ticket was made nigh impossible at Campbelltown station as they were working on the ticket machine so I made my way down to the platform and within seconds jumped on an train to Sydney Via East Hills.
On the way to the station I said hello to Maddox who was just pulling into his driveway and just before the station I bumped into Jaromir from the Gym and a couple of his friends. They looked like they were in some sort of a hurry and with nothing much to add our conversation took only a minute.
David Jones Snobs
Reaching the City I thought to try my luck at Central to see if I could sneak past a barrier but this time around there was no such luck. Therefore, I jumped back onto a train where I then stopped at Museum Station, illustrious because it is always open-gated for me and notorious to the ticket collectors that never do their job. Now being in the midst of the City the first place I thought to visit after a scurry across the traffic lights was David Jones on Pitt Street.
However, the staff at David Jones were more blasé than accommodating and because I didn’t feel comfortable walking around their large store I made haste for the door. I always think that no matter how I’m dressed, the staff would always act uncaring and like snobs. Howeverso, I made my way through the other David Jones store across the intersection which was all women’s clothing and fragrances. Breezing through there I made my way through the Imperial Arcade until I finally progressed into Pitt Street. Thus far I had been to no interesting shop and I was quickly learning what I suspected, that the City is no place for men to shop for work attire.
As a result of my intense shopping I didn’t pay attention to many desirable women but I do remember one blonde. Being fairly tall and a lanky skinny, a nice set, black leather pants and a red top which decorated her blonde hair and shapely face. There were many other girls that I could paint a picture with adorning words but each girl harbors the same brilliance in words, just in different wording. My day began around 1:00 p.m. and it finished at 4:30 p.m. where I headed for Museum Station.
Politix Treats Me Right
In that time I visited several shops and gathered many ideas and despite most shops being pleasing to my tastes, none of them met my budget and preference equally. However, the first great shop I did walk into was called ‘Politix’ in which their clothes had a nightclub touch but they looked best to be worn at work. Stepping into the store I was treated amiably by the lady working there where she helped me with my queries, always had a smile on her face, was outgoing and had me try on a whole suit.
From all the other stores I did come across where most of the staff didn’t really show enthusiasm or will to make a sale, I came to a certain conclusion. The people who drive a harder sale whilst still maintaining full distance from my pocket win it for me. When I look back upon the day, the places that stood out and the shops I would most likely visit again are those where the staff have been more helpful and more complimenting. Staff who are usually more active in selling their products are usually the people who know what they’re talking about and have the better styles.
There was a great ensemble of clothing to test out in ‘Politix’ but I quite liked it where the lady uttered “I know what would look great on you with that suit”. It gave me confidence that she knew exactly what she was doing and that comforted me. Trying on a beautiful suit (If you want to call it that) from the front window there was a beautiful blue shirt, a magnificent color. The blue was sort of like baby blue but with a gloss and a hue to make it so ‘Nightclub’ orientated.
Looking Like Casanova
Let me just say, if I had blue eyes, girls would probably be all over me wherever I walked. In this suit, with this shirt, I would have been Casanova so that obviously must be saying something about that brand of clothing. Trying on some gorgeously stunning black shoes I have seen in FHM along with the pants that were such a cool material that if you bent right down there would be no tightening on the stretch.
Stepping out of the change rooms with my hat off and hair all scruffy from my maltreatment the night before I wasn’t the best looker but I loved the clothes. There was also a rubber belt handed to me which I thought was excellent style, you should have seen it, I want it. On top of that, when we tried a more job-suitable blue shirt we put on a darker blue tie to go with it and when we closed up the jacket, I looked amazing.
These clothes really brought out the best in me but in total, just the pants, jacket and rubber belt would cost me $390. Actually, when you think about it, that’s not too ad a price but when you add the $180 shoes (Worth every penny), the tie and a shirt, you have quite a price tag on your hands. Nevertheless, I have made it a mission to buy these clothes, maybe have them put on lay-by when my first payment arrives from work. The bare minimum should do me on a lay-by and let’s hope that I can also work out an agreement on the price, make it lower.
Helmut Lang Daydreams
Hunger started to set in through my perilous journey but I knew I hadn’t had enough money for such a gesture to my bowels. Nevertheless, when I entered Grace Bros. and asked for the Helmut Lang section I was gratified more than food when viewing those clothes. Although I would never buy clothing from Helmut Lang because they are so expensive I drooled over some of the clothing portrayed.
There was only a small amount of clothing made by Helmut Lang which made me think that the prices were so high because the company needs make their money first before lowering prices. Other places visited in the City was most of Pitt Street’s men’s wear stores, mid city stores, the Queen Victoria Building on George Street (If that is the actual building) and some shops up towards Planet Hollywood.
A Free Five Dollar Voucher
When the day was coming near to an end I remembered the voucher which allowed me $5 free on any gambling machine at Tommo’s. Having done this deal before I knew there were no catches so I started my way in pursuit of the gaming room. Of course, this $5 voucher was attained on the night that I visited the City with Osama, Pari, his cousin and his friend. It was in the time that we were waiting around for his cousin to arrive from parking the car and I begged Pari to get me another one but he declined.
Entering the building I was thinking that if I could at least get a couple of dollars out of my visit I would be better off for Monday at work. Perusing the gaming room I noticed the Egyptian style gaming machine and knowing that Keith kicked ass on it at the Golf Course I thought to give it a go. Asking the assistance of the lady behind the counter she came to the machine, inserted $5 and I was on my way.
Now I knew that if I got 3 pyramids in a row I stood a chance of getting three free spins and that is really the lone reason why I chose that machine. Setting up my first spin and betting one credit on the first spin (The lowest bet) as well as all 20 lines I pressed the button and awaited my fate. Faith and fortune was definitely with me in my hopes as my very first spin allowed me to gain 15 free spins, what luck.
From there I just sat back and watched my money gain and gain and gain. Finally after the 15 spins had subsided I took the win instead of doubling up (Which would have been foolish) and bet once more until I evened it out to $14. Once again, out of nothing, I created $14 for myself by playing the pokies. This means that I am evermore up on my winning-losing street at the pokies because I never but unless given free chances.
A Blonde Who Looks Familiar
With this glorious new pride about my walk I strutted into one or two more stores before I headed back to Museum Station, bought a ticket (Only because I had to) and catch the next train home. The time was 4:30 p.m. when I caught the express train to Campbelltown and I kept thinking to myself that Lyssa would most probably be on this train. Jumping on the second last carriage I made my way downstairs and peeping around before I sat down I didn’t see a sign of Lyssa.
Taking a seat next to a lady who like most others was asleep for most of the trip I relaxed the rest of the trip home. Sweet was the extra money in my pocket where I now have enough money to buy myself a weekly ticket and not have to worry about it on Monday morning. All the way home I was glancing at a blonde who was sitting adjacent and one seat forward. Fairly beautiful she was but what blonde in my scope isn’t?
When arriving at Leumeah the blonde girl in front of me was gearing to jump off the train and I was deciding whether to jump up and wait at the doors or keep seated. As the train was coming close to a stop I looked behind me to see who else was jumping off in the odd case that I might see Lyssa. To my surprise I saw someone with blonde hair and resembled Lyssa in clothes and in look. Keeping my eyes firmly fixed on her she was in the middle of getting up and therefore, she wasn’t looking at me.
In fact, there wasn’t a time that she looked forward towards my direction and rather oblivious to my staring she made her way up the opposing stairs. The likeness was so great and what would be the odds that it wouldn’t be her anyway. As she jumped off the train my eyes followed her all the way towards the bus stop but I didn’t get to see whether she sat to wait for a bus or not. Forever it will be a mystery as to if it was Lyssa or some other blonde who resembles her remarkably.
Why She Did Not Say Hello
I figured that if it were Lyssa she would have called me by now but s the time is nearing 10:30 p.m. I don’t see that happening. Also, if it were Lyssa she would have seen me enter the train and probably thought it would be best to avoid me as a result of the current situation. There was a touch of disgust and resentment when the person whom I thought was Lyssa jumped off the train. The old Lyssa I know would have made her way past me, tapped me on the shoulder, probably said hello and then be on her way.
However, if it was Lyssa, she was probably fearful that I would treat her as cold as I do on the phone in which case, she has just cause for avoiding me. Turning the scales, I’m not sure if I would do the same scheme of avoidance if I was in her situation. Because there would be so much guys looking at her from aloof I would probably keep my distance as not to draw attention to myself.
Pumpkin And Late Night Calls
Jumping off at Campbelltown Station I was famished with hunger so spending a touch of the money I had won earlier in the day, I bought two pieces of pumpkin. If life was a continuous wish, I would dream of eating pumpkin every day of my life, it’s scrumptious. With this new found energy within me I walked the rest of the way home and arrived around 6:00 p.m. Since being home now I haven’t done much more than type in my diary but I did give Keith a call around 9:00 p.m. tonight.
He was watching Cricket at the Catholic Club with Binh and as we chatted about tomorrow night I let him go and got back to my work. Binh was on another call when I rang which makes me believe that Phoenix called Keith’s phone and Keith handed the phone to Binh so they could both talk. Anyway, finally I have finished chronology and made it all up to date. As the time has now just past midnight I must go and get some sleep…
