Keith Is Selfish Again

God Keith is so selfish! Always, when there is a chance for him to sponge of someone else he’ll take that opportunity, nah, he’ll force himself onto it. Tonight I was supposed to be gearing up to head out to the Catholic Club but because of bad planning by Keith I’ve lost the desire. For the most of today I have been trying to call Keith with no answer to his mobile phone and his not being home.

Just ten minutes ago I finally got to talk to him and what I came across is typical Keith behavior. For the last couple of days he made me believe that he was going to drive down to the Catholic Club with me in the car but when I heard Tyler and Binh in the background of his mobile phone when I called, I knew he was pulling a Keith.

You know, back in the day when I used to be the planner of the evenings I never used to ditch anyone and tried to include as much people in the night as possible. Even when Rory took the reigns for a little while he managed to keep everyone satisfied with seat availability but since Keith has taken the reigns he has resigned his car-pooling privilege and taken a front seat in the back seat planning.

The Call That Killed My Night

When calling Keith a couple of minutes ago I said the usual “Hello, what’s up” and as Keith blurted out “Call me back in ten minutes” after an anxious pause I knew my night was stuffed. Taking my time in calling him back as I knew I was only wasting my time and money I started to think that it wasn’t worth going out after all. Besides, my hair isn’t looking all too spiffy, I hate continually wearing this black shirt with my black cargo pants and I don’t want to sit around and feel like the odd one out because Keith is too busy starting his new life and spinning everyone else into his bullshit saga.

Seriously, ever since Keith has broken up with Tamsen he’s done nothing but care about himself which isn’t too far from when he was with Tamsen. However, now I feel like more of an outcast in the group and I know that I’m not really part of that whole group. When I speak of Keith, Binh, Vedat, Tyler, Shawn, Ralf, Ace and the rest of them, none of them really bond with me as I did with Naqi’s group. All these people are nothing but my acquaintances and it sounds like such a cliché each time I say these words but there is much truth.

When out with this group, I am a part of them but I don’t feel a part of them. I do stand out to be different but only because they have only acknowledged my friendship partially, deciding not to take that extra step because I am different. You could even say that Keith’s group is a completely different generation gap between my era with people like Naqi, Imad and that group. That would explain how Imad and Naqi would always pay out on Keith’s group saying they were losers and vice versa. Oh man, gimme some legs to stand on again, please, let me have friends from my generation that understand what I mean when I say, “Let’s go out.”

Two Groups for One Night

On the article of my calling Keith, he was at Binh’s house with Tyler and basically after I asked, “What’s going on tonight” he answered “Ring up Ralf and see if he’ll give you a lift down there”. The ugly truth had finally reared its head and that was the last push to signal that I didn’t want to go out. “Oh by the way, if you ring Ralf, tell him to meet up with us at 8:40 p.m.”.

Great, not only did Keith give me the runaround to someone whom I haven’t talked to for weeks and hate the thought of jumping in his car, he also didn’t bother calling Ralf about the news. Therefore, Keith left out me, Shawn and Ralf and only cared to go out with Binh, Tyler and Ace, the original group for the night. Now unless they have the idea of inviting Phoenix out for the night there is no real explanation for his undervaluing my will to go out.

Keith has been working this night up for a couple of nights now but now that I think of it, all this time he didn’t really worry about the people who aren’t going. Basically, if we can find our way there, we can hang out with them. Well, I’ve done enough kissing of rings in my time, I don’t need to indulge in his self-centered attributes and I feel sorry for those that take pity on him.

Keith needs to be pitied for having cheated on Tamsen with Phoenix and I don’t know why I’m protecting him by not revealing his big secret to Jett but I hold it back. Keith should be pitied for holding onto all his pennies and then asking everyone else for favors, not for being dumped by Tamsen and now feeling crushed. Shall I just pity the fool that fear durst waive his crime, his crime of pride that has been tainted evermore to insolence.

There you have it, my reason to stay home and rebel upon such hypocrisy. Keith has yet again disregarded the lesser of this group (In his opinion anyway) who want to go out and bunched them all up. In one fell swoop, Keith has separated the night into two groups. The first and more important to him is his group of Ace, Binh and Tyler and the lesser where he deems them unseemly is me, Shawn and Ralf.

Keith Thinks He Knows Best

However, it does seem quite odd that the people in the lesser group are people who don’t really give a rat’s ass about Keith breaking up with Tamsen and therefore, won’t give him the desired sympathy he wants. All I can say is that Keith is conceited where he rules his life more important than others at the moment. Nevertheless, Keith’s always thought that he was better at most things than others and when he got the chance he would put people’s forsythes down.

For example, when I landed this job Keith had the nerve to say “So, you got an easy job where you sit on your ass all day” and in that one sentence he basically stereotyped all office work as being butt sitting action. How the irony does prevail when you note that Keith was also sitting on his ass all day working the Petrol Station Counter and what’s more, right until he was sacked he was still ripping them off with the Eftpos Machine.

Shawn Comes Over Instead

These words must now come to an end because Shawn should be headed over my house any minute. Giving him the message that he should acquire a lift from Ralf because Keith didn’t have the decency to ring him up about the night’s plans, Shawn didn’t feel like heading out either. Basically, we were both sick of Keith fart assing around and thinking of himself foremost before others and feeling his desire to head over my house I popped the option up in the air and now it’s reality.

Shawn is coming over to watch ‘Football’ and I’m not sure if he’s bringing the Playstation but I didn’t ask him to. A few minutes after my call with Shawn I gave Pari a call to see if he wanted to come over with Osama and watch a movie but Osama was working his job and Pari like all others didn’t feel like walking. Therefore, I just asked him to give me a call tomorrow night for some plans and that was the night.

Now I popped the idea of heading out to ‘Waves’ tomorrow night but I think Tyler’s going to get priority decision in his desire to watch the Soccer Finals on Saturday night. Therefore, Keith will again shun me from his plans (Where all others would see to include him) and I will be at a loss for another weekend of fulfillment. However, if Osama and Pari come over tomorrow night I might have something to do but if they don’t come over I’m not expecting much from the egotistical one…
