Another Late Night

Wednesday 11:21 p.m.

These hours of the night are slowly creeping up on me and what normally I should now be sleeping, I am still resplendently awake. Mine eyes do show some shallow tinge of drowsiness but who knows to what hour I will have them wink. The reason I cut my last entry short was because I had Shawn and Keith come over for the night so we could play the Playstation and then head out for a while. Half of the reason I invited them over was because I wanted to fill up what would otherwise have been a void night.

The other half of my responsibility to invite them over was so that I could lend the Playstation for my benefit with Pari tomorrow. If not already noted, I called Pari today despite my phone making all kinds of diversion-type noises. In that conversation we talked about him coming over tomorrow after his day at the Gym in which I would try and lend a Playstation, and here I have. We also talked about the weekend and heading out to something like the Catholic Club but I’ll see what happens.

Crossed Lines With the Neighbor

Beginning back now on chronology of last night, we shall begin from where I arrived back home. A while after getting home I gave Shawn a call or he called me (I have a short term memory loss right now for some reason). Shawn came over soon after my call and to be brief, we played the Playstation for most of our hours. However, there did come a time where we tried to figure out my telephone and whilst calling Telstra assistance a strange but explained thing occurred.

Ringing 013 two operators began talking at the same time which now explains two dial tones and an echo of the same recorded voice when I ring a wrong number. The truth behind all this chaos has been found, I have a crossed line with my neighbor two houses up on this side of the street. It seems that when I pick up my phone it registers as his phone also picking up and thus, with my one phone call I ring out for both him and myself.

Therefore, when I rang the callback number to test my ringing pitch his phone must also have rang, how funny is that. If I was to call Japan, I wouldn’t be the only one being charged for the bill because his phone call would also go through, but not necessarily answer. Also, when the phone crackles it means that his phone is hung up but on occasions where it is crystal clear, those are the times when he’s on the phone, weird.

For at least half an hour Shawn and I started pranking 013 and other government numbers where there were operators standing by because we knew no matter what, both calls would get through. There were occasions where we confused the telephone operators when they both asked, “Telstra, what number please” in synchronization.

Shawn as usual had a fascination about ringing Phoenix and as the time was creeping by we done just that. With all the pranks that we did accomplish I saved them onto my computer but I believe that none of them are worthwhile to keep. Tabitha was also pranked last night and today when I invited Keith and Shawn over. Keith was the more inquisitive and amazed at what my phone could do as he uttered, “You have the magic phone.”

Ice Cream Heist at Subway

Being less to detail tonight I will just note that we invited Keith to come over and at 11:30 p.m. he finally arrived from watching a movie. Wanting to head out I knew that ‘Subway’ was out of the question but what do you know, we went there anyway. First, Keith had to stop off at Tamsen’s house so he could drop off a letter and despite it being a job application for her to type up I kept badgering him, saying it was a love letter. When at ‘Subway’ the actual area was closed but the man at the convenience store end didn’t say anything.

Purposefully sitting on the seats near the ice-cream freezer I was planning to nick some because the man could only see us through the window’s reflection which at best, was hard. Playing a couple of games I made my break for the freezer when he was reading his paper and with my stealth I opened it up. On the next hand I took out one Cornetto and when sitting back down placed it between my legs for concealment.

From there I urged myself to take another two and with that done Keith insisted that I should stop, three was conveniently enough to his liking. Playing a couple more hands we made our way to the car, me stashing them all in my jacket pocket. The man appeared to be looking in our direction as we walked out, I wonder if he suspected us.

For the whole time that we were in ‘Subway’ Keith kept saying “Nah man, I don’t want one if you get them”, thinking he was above petty crime. However, once in the car his tune changed as with a couple of words encouragement he relented to my offer. “Oh, okay man, I’ll have a little bit” were his accepting words after some lengthy deliberation.

The idiot knew that he wanted one all along but he tagged along his words along by saying things like “What flavors did you get, Oh! You got chocolate”. Keith knew that he wanted an ice-cream but he didn’t want me to think that he was asking because he wanted one all along in which case, would be a true statement.

Home at Dawn

From my little sting operation we drove around the Narellan area as I gave Keith and Shawn the bug of stealing with more petty crime but the most they lived up to was Keith stopping off at a service station to pee. The night ended for me when I wanted to head back home to get some sleep, the time was 3:30 a.m.

On the way home Keith was telling me how Phoenix kept calling him and spilling her emotions to him about her love of Rory. “She must have called me at least twenty times the other day” he uttered, “No shit, my battery lasts for two days but it was almost flat after our conversations”. When finally at home I got myself to sleep at the early hours of 4:30 a.m. and to my surprise, didn’t wake up until 12:30 p.m.

Macarthur Square With the Boys

Today, since my waking up, as noted, I have been reading Shakespeare and sorts like that. As also duly noted and in need of fine detail, I called Pari, invited Shawn over with Keith around 6:30 p.m. and then with them, left for Macarthur Square nearing 9:00 p.m. While at my house we played Basketball on the Playstation but at Macarthur Square we were meant to watch a movie but the most we done was play games at Fun n Games.

The most fun I had was get a bad case of stomach pains in which I was in need of the bathroom minutes later. Relieved after that bout of broccoli I headed back to Keith’s car and from that we headed home. The agenda was to head for ‘Subway’ because Keith and Shawn thought I was going to steal some more ice-cream but that obviously didn’t end up happening.

How funny, I stole three ice-creams and now, both of them believe that I’m going to be a repeat offender every time I head back out there now. The only reason we were heading there is because they believed in that crap thinking but I deliver only to myself. My eyes are growing tired now fairly early so I might jump off now and try for some sleep.
