Last Day of the Month

Hello again, and how are we today, that’s good. The time as you might have guessed is early in the morning and no diviner a thought can exist any less than when the mind is at its freshest musing. Therefore, I bring to you my thoughts this morning, freshly woken up and able-minded for such effluence of chronology and musing. Of my last diary entry, I was a tad confused as to when I had finished writing.

Knowing that I started writing at 1:30 p.m. and I didn’t do anything special that night but go to sleep I wondered when I stopped writing in my diary. Taking a step back and reading upon those pages I came to a conclusion that I finished just before the time I decided to get to sleep, that being around 8:00 p.m. For the next hour and a half I mainly watched television and read some poetry to finally get myself to sleep at around 9:30 p.m.

As you might have gathered, this is the last day of the month, where an exciting turnaround is waiting just around the corner. Tonight I don’t feel as if I will be going out because I don’t have too much money to spare and I want to get to sleep early but I care not. Rather, I feel the need to stay home tonight so I can write my usual reflections of the month past and then my beliefs of what will eventuate through the crossing-over. Let me start now though with a little comment that is sure to enliven the moral of this confuséd month yielding substantiated misfortune.

Light Training and Measurements

Yesterday I finally decided upon heading back to the Gym. However, I didn’t go back to my usual heavy training but I done light training with heavy reps. Changing routines did produce a great result where my Chest aches but not so in definition as to my arms. Back in the heydays when I used to do exhaustion sets my arms used to hurt at a rating of ten out of a scale of one to ten.

There were days when I couldn’t even bend my arms back in those days. Then, to my more recent heavy training a couple of months ago I could only get a mild two for aches. Yesterday, my Biceps fared what I believe to be a seven and a half for their gallant efforts with smaller weights. I’m not sure if smaller weights is going to diminish my size a great deal but I’ll keep it going.

There is another great achievement of my body that will shed some commending light on this month. Yesterday before heading to the Gym I measured myself around the waist and found a great result. My waist used to be 33 inches but due to my not eating as much and doing exercises like skipping and sit-ups for the past couple of nights it has shrunk to 32.2 inches.

On a greater scale, when I breathe in my stomach I could only get 32.2 inches but now that measurement has decreased to 31.5 inches. To top all this off, when measured at the Gym I weighed 82 Kilos so I obviously went down two and a half kilos since my ceasing my workouts. This all calls for some exciting news when I cross over into the new month, where the workout will have changed.

Early Morning Routine

Thursday morning I woke up at 6:00 a.m. which seems to be the time I usually wake up now. It is great when I can pull something like this off and stick to it so that the end result is a bettered me. Before having a shower I done 500 skips to gain a slight sweat, done some pushups and then had a shower.

The day for me had now started and slowly I was getting bored and in need of something to do. Sleeping was definitely not an option so I decided to jump on the computer for a while and play a game. Two hours later I started watching television but the need to get out and do something was growing.

Knowing that I wanted to head for Campbelltown where I could check out the price to fix my bike I decided not to call Keith figuring he would be busy. Therefore, when 10:30 p.m. arrived I hopped upstairs to grab myself a towel and in the light ran began to walk to the Gym.

Chatting With Maddox

There were no nerves heading down to the Gym because it was so early in the morning and I felt ready. For the next hour and a half I rode the bike and began on my workout which like I have noted was pretty eventful. Maddox came down and talked to me for the length that I spent working out on my Chest.

Although we were chatting on a broad range of topics it still seems as if the both of us have to manifest conversation in order to keep conversation. Maddox and I haven’t bonded yet in a way that would make conversation customary yet, we seem to talk on the one tone to each other and fear silence. Maddox I feel hasn’t opened up yet but then again, maybe I haven’t also. Anyway, let me now get to my Gym routine as it needs the offering…

The Workout Log

Warm-up: This was a fair bit different as I wanted to ride on the bikes longer so that I could create a better warm-up. Thus, I pedaled on the bikes for 6 minutes burning 65 calories.

Chest: The Chest wasn’t too focused on as I had Maddox talking to me throughout so attention wasn’t too awarded. Beginning on Bench Press with 80 pounds I warmed up for 25 reps. Doing some stretches the Chest felt a bit stringy. Increasing the weight to 120 pounds I created 14 reps out of my set but I could have done more if I was concentrating. Keeping the same weight but pausing for a fair while I completed another 12 reps before moving to the next exercise. Incline Dumbbell Press was on the agenda and with 35 pounders I created 20 reps.

Taking the weight up to 40 pounds I pushed a further 15 reps out. Moving to Cable Crossovers I loaded each arm up with 30 pounds to push out 15 reps. There I tried another set but only pushed out a couple of reps because it felt awkward. Therefore, I headed to Peck Deck Fly’s where with 110 pounds I pushed out 15 reps. Pausing I completed another set of 12 reps with the same weight. This is around where Maddox left and my last set for Chest was pullovers, completing 20 reps with 45 pounds.

Back: Commencing with Neutral Grip Lat Pulldowns and 70 pounds I completed 25 reps whilst crunching my shoulders. Taking the weight up to 110 pounds I pushed out 15 moderate reps. Moving now to Close Grip Lat Pulldowns and with 110 pounds I pushed out 15 reps accordingly. Seated Cable Rows was next with 70 pounds and I didn’t have trouble with 20 reps. Taking the weight up to 110 pounds I completed a further 15 reps. Moving now to my last set of One Arm Dumbbell Rows, I completed 15 reps per arm with 45 pounds.

Biceps: Oh yes, the favored, how great they did serve me. Beginning with Preacher Cable Curls and 20 pounds I pushed out a fair 30 reps without fail. Making my way to Alternate Dumbbell Curls and trying to complete a set of exhaustion curls I began with 20 pounders. Forty reps did I end up completing and only during the final reps did I have to put the weight down and then pick them up only seconds later to continue. With my arms fairly dead I made my way to Cable Curls and with 35 pounds I completed 12 reps before turning my hands to a Reverse Cable Curls position and completing 10 more reps.

Abdominals: This body-part I have dedicated much of my focus and energy towards because I want to get those hard Abs I used to own. Therefore, I began with 40 pounds on the Ab Crunch Machine and for 35 reps I crunched, mostly doing side crunches. My next set was with the same weight but only 30 moderate reps. Moving to Cable Crunches and 45 pounds I pushed out 15 reps where I could start to feel the burn.

Back to the Machine I ventured where 30 more reps were evident and they did quench my thirst and deplete my energy. Tying for a set of Low Ab Crunches I could only complete 15 reps in two sets. With this obvious weariness I finished one more set on Machine Ab Crunches with the same weight and 30 reps, I was buggered.

Legs: There were only three sets in all for this part of the body because I didn’t want to exploit it as yet. First was Standing Leg Curls and with 20 pounds I completed 20 reps per leg. Moving to Lying Leg Curls with 50 pounds I completed another 20 reps. Last was Seated Leg Extensions with 50 pounds where I pushed out 25 reps and held them tight.

Warm-Down: This I haven’t tried for a long time but I thought two minutes on the bike wouldn’t hurt to complete.
