Back to the Fig Tree

The time I arrived in the City was 11:00 a.m. and when I finally left at 1:30 p.m. I wasn’t too intent on heading home just yet. Rather, my thoughts upon the fig tree where Jewell and I sat and the new equidistant for where my poetical days started to blossom, I thought to head there.

The fig tree was so vivid but how to get there or where in Hyde Park it had been sitting was rather bleak. However, making my way to the War Memoriam I knew that the fig tree was within sight and I did head towards it. Seeing this past memory from a distance looked very pleasing and my wishes were to sit down there granting there was no one near it.

The closer I got the more real it became to my memories and the thought of this tree giving me inspiration in the future was a blossoming thought. When I approached the hollow of the tree where Jewell and I sat there was no one sitting there but on another part of the tree was another couple. This tree over many a day has been the flourish and success of many cherished loving moments including mine and to seep poetry from the roots of the tree which fed upon so much love would be a blessing.

For those leaves to fall with inscriptions of chaste in the Autumn days and may they bring a high-spirited flourish in the days of Summer when best they bread on the apex of such love-seeing branches. The love that this tree beholds is real, it is astonishing and when I sit there without a loved but with love reaped I will write of those tales with the tree’s beauteous leaves to the lofty paper that he also reserves.

Walking Past Lyssa’s Work

From Hyde parks prestigious paradise I made my way home but before I did I thought I would walk past Lyssa’s work to see if she was around. Having lunch with Lyssa was scratched because I had taken so long and it would have been nice to see her but there was no such thing as I walked past.

The Girl at St James Station

Having nothing else to do in the City I headed to St. James Station and after heading to the toilet I entered the Station. There was this good looking girl with a blue top and a singlet underneath it that showed off her bra. She looked like a working girl with blonde hair and a nice denim skirt but I gathered that because she was coming down the far stairs for the other platform she wouldn’t be catching my train.

Wrong I was as she came to our side and as the train came and we were standing almost next to each other I gathered she would be jumping in my carriage. My stupid move was to head against my magnetic feeling and head down towards the carriage I thought she would head for but she followed my gut instinct and headed for the carriage on her right. My poor judgment pissed me off but I gathered she also chose that carriage because she didn’t want to make it appear as if she wanted to get on the same carriage as me, either that or she disliked me.

The train trip home was rather quiescent and all that could be heard was sweet nature through the surmountable discord of the train’s legs. Arriving in Campbelltown I made my way to the bus which was leaving within five minutes.

A Last Look From the Bus

Just before it had arrived a sweet looking girl (Which I am mostly attracted to) which was skinny, looked fragile, tall and with a pink knitted top had sat down. She had brown hair that was shading to blonde and her sweet innocent face had looked over my way as if to show some appeal. When I jumped on the bus she gave me one last look as if to say this was the last time she would see me and I could do nothing but look at her through the bus window, her unsuspecting figure.

Shopping at Bradbury

Reaching Bradbury I stopped at the shops and walking down I had a fair bit to buy. Being starved I knew I had to save some money for food as I was so famished that I started getting head spins and strange headaches along with my churning stomach.

Firstly I walked into the Chemist and spotting a packet of ‘Waxeeze’ I purchased it and was on my way to the Supermarket. Once in there I bought myself some moisturizer and looked around for some shavers but couldn’t find them. When all that was bought and still in my suit I walked to the fish and chip shop and ordered just that.

While waiting I headed to the newsagent and perused through the books there. Coming across a new but unique issue of FHM it was based solely on the women who have adorned the pages of FHM, it had only women. Not having money to buy it at that moment (Rather, not wanting to spend my Gym money) I anticipated Monday.

However, later in the day I did make my way back to the newsagent to buy my book of FHM. For that I didn’t get to the Gym on Wednesday but I was too tired for it anyway. Today I did get some extra money off mum so that I could head to the Gym so I’ll be doing that very soon.

Calling My Referees

Heading back home I had something to eat but despite this, my headache still was persistent but not noticeable. Taking Edith’s advice I forgot about my anxiety and decided to give my two referees a call to inform them that a temping agency would be calling to ask about my credit. The first person that I had called was Bert and as I said hello and my name he couldn’t think who I was.

When I finally told him that I was Johnnie’s friend it finally clicked. It has been a long time since I have talked with him and on top of that, he wouldn’t be expecting me to call. While chatting with Simon I told him the whole jingle where he was happy to help. “Good luck to them, tomorrow I’ll be in and out of the house but I’ll leave the answering machine on” he replied and with that I thanked him and that was one down.

A Desperate Second Referee

Trying to call Frank I found that the number was disengaged and ringing Directory Assistance they had no recollection of such a number. Now with only one referee I had to quickly come up with another so I called Martinson Engineering out of desperation.

Chatting to Salman I feared that he would chat with me and ask me how I was doing and for that I had lies planned so that I wouldn’t look so bad. Despite this planning he didn’t ask me and once again, he wasn’t sure who I was until I told him I worked there so long ago.

“Oh! Tony” he uttered and as I told him that I needed another referee he told me that this was fine. “Do you want to speak to anyone else,” he asked and being the spastic I am I said alright. Placing me onto Nathan I once again had to explain who I was as he was befuddled when I mentioned my name. Sounding dispirited throughout the whole conversation I hoped that it wasn’t because of me and his loss of faith in me. Despite this lack of association or interest he agreed to be a reference and I had my doubts about his performance of good words but I allowed it.

Calls About Money

Giving IPA a call back to inform them of the change of references I spoke to the Receptionist and then that was it for chasing up. With my next payment on my mind and the need to raise the money I will be receiving I called up the link to make arrangements.

Chatting to some guy I firstly sought to change the day that I see them for Mutual Obligation. At first it was for Monday but now I’ve changed that date for the next day so it will give me enough time to cancel my payment and say to them that I have found a job. With this I also sought his advice on my bid for increasing payment. Informing me that it had already been at $166 I tried to get a bit of extra money but disregarded my claim as he kept telling me it was hard to do.

The money that I will be getting on Monday isn’t that bad but still, I will be pocket out of Gym regardless. If Keith helped me out with money instead of being so greedy and stingy I would have money to tie me over but no, a dog’s bone is never shared. My next call was to Telstra determined that they would allow me to allot some payment onto my next bill but I was surprised that they didn’t.

Much Ado About Nothing

The rest of my Wednesday night I will have to leave to when I head back from the Gym but let me just say there will be much ado about nothing (Ah, old Shakespeare). So let me be off now and later speak, of the truth, as words do best well put it…
