Returning Lyssa’s Call
The time was nearing 8:30 p.m. as I was getting back home and grabbing some food from upstairs I gave Lyssa a call before digging into it. Lyssa had called me an hour before and even though I was going to call her I thought it would be good to return her call.
A New Blonde Down the Street
Before I begin of that, let me just remind this Diary that I have found another beautiful blonde within the midst of my neighborhood. Living on the street just down a house from my house and a few houses down on the right (Where the old man who walks his dog lives) I noticed a beautiful blonde. It was when I was walking to the Gym and as she arrived home in her Excel I espied her through the car window and thinking she wasn’t too special through the window I waited for her to pop out.
When she did I was astounded at her height, her blonde hair, her face and the immensely attractive skinny body she had. It’s the tall and skinny factor that really appealed to me but what’s more, she was wearing tight pants that imitated Hound Dog style and her butt really clung with that excellent shape it produced.
Everything of her was fabulous and as she walked to her house and used a key I knew I would be seeing more of her in the future. I would keep turning back to glance at her as she entered her house and although I would have to toss a coin to see if she would better the Caprice from across the street I would favor the new flesh at this point.
Lyssa Asks a Favor
Back to my conversation now with Lyssa, it had a lot of elements about it. Firstly when Lyssa and I started talking it was alright but it had all the classic symptoms of our usual phone relationship. That being my not talking that much in our conversations. With Lyssa talking of her day and how work was getting to be so hard she asked me of a huge favor and saying “But you’ll probably say no anyway” I said “Well don’t say it then” in a detestable mood.
Moving through the possibilities of favors Lyssa was about to tell me and then as usual she said “Nah, don’t worry” and being in suspense now I had to ask. Lyssa wanted me to head to the City on Thursday around 6:00 p.m. so I could pick her up from her hair appointment to take her home because she wouldn’t be comfortable by herself.
Now Lyssa told me that she had asked people before me who all said they couldn’t and despite me having to head to the Gym which I would start around that time Lyssa decided to get agitated at my response. Casting my thoughts upon Lyssa I told her that once again I was the one she would put all the blame on for not agreeing to meet her in the City and yet, all her friends that she asked don’t get what Lyssa was giving me. That seemed unfair to me and Lyssa did relent for a little while but you could tell she was dissatisfied with my answer despite knowing what it would have been.
Lyssa then began an outpour of emotion accusing me of not caring anymore when we talk in our conversations and she insisted that I give her some answers. “You don’t call me anymore, you never invite me over your house, you only say one or two words in our conversations, what with that” she argued. My answer to that despite sounding obnoxious was “Oh well” because I couldn’t really say anything to that which would justify what I was doing and where it wouldn’t upset Lyssa.
“Oh well” Lyssa uttered, “That seems to be your favorite answer for everything these days”. The arguing about my conduct lasted for about half an hour as I started to get angry at Lyssa for always bringing it up and blaming my lack of interest to Lyssa on her never relenting in conversation. In each conversation she’s either telling me how I’m not doing this and not doing that and although I want to remind her that we’re not going out anymore I choose not to.
Simon Knocks on the Window
Our conversation was interrupted when I heard a car out the front and then a knock on my window. Knowing that it was Simon I told Lyssa that I would call her back in a couple of minutes and hanging up I answered the door. As Simon came in he asked if I wanted to head to ‘Subway’ with him and Keith who he was heading off to pick up.
Wanting to get back to my conversation with Lyssa and also to my computer of thought I told him no. He tried his hand at persuasion for a couple of minutes but when that didn’t work he used my toilet and was then off to pick up Keith. As I showed him out I knew that he was either going to come back with Keith or Keith would ring me up because he doesn’t want to have just two people for a night out.
Getting back to my conversation with Lyssa we didn’t begin on our animosity at each other but rather, we began the normal conversation that should have been our first. In this conversation Keith rang me like I predicted and while I told him I couldn’t come out because of my poetry I decided to read him the poem about the footy over the phone. Once finished he seemed to like it and thought I should enter it into the competition but I had no camera and I didn’t want to anyway.
Seven Thousand Wills
Hanging up with Keith and getting back to my conversation with Lyssa she told me how she was separating all the wills at work. All up there were about 7500 wills and what she had to do was separate every single will from each folder. Receiving all these wills from another firm who had put all family wills together Lyssa had to take out the wills that were joined from a family and separate them. For the day she had completed five joint wills to separation but she had checked 120 of them. Apart from that Lyssa is learning everything in the accounts section that she’s working in from the computer package to how to file.
A Gift She Cannot Name
In our conversation and just after our angered state of conversation was over Lyssa told me she had something to give to me but she wasn’t sure if she should give it to me because of our current relationship. Lyssa didn’t want to tell me what it was at first and thinking it was a letter to be sent to me Lyssa made me realize that it wasn’t.
As our conversation carried on Lyssa told me how when she was looking through the photo album of Lyssa and I at the formal a couple of days ago she got the urge to draw me from one of the pictures. She got the bug to draw that night and then in the same conversation she told me how she once drew a portrait of Johnny Depp and it was so good that Carleigh decided to frame it and have it put on her wall.
She also told me of a model lady she once drew at the end of year twelve and she didn’t humble herself but rather was modest of how great the picture was and how much she loved it. Most of these pictures are now lost and as she told me that she once drew the picture that she stole from my photo album at the start of our meeting I was surprised. Lyssa had drawn me, Ali and Imad in one of her pictures and she doesn’t have it anymore but she said it was a good picture.
Speaking more of her artistic flair I told Lyssa that in all the time that the both of us were going out she didn’t strike me as the artist but rather the nine to five person. Even though I knew of Lyssa’ artistic talent she never used it enough and therefore I think it odd to label her the artist. This to my mind brought a comparison of another female artist I know, someone close to me but lost in these years. She does dub the name artist in my mind and it is because of this flamboyance in her nature that it doesn’t click to me that Lyssa also is that same talent.
What is it with me and going out with people who are artistically represented. When Lyssa also told me that she was going to start drawing portraits again and that she was going to buy some stationary for her ambitious drive I once again started to get flashbacks of a day foregone. “All I need now is a subject” Lyssa said to me and knowing her mind too well her next sentence that I got out of her was “You’re the subject”. Linking Lyssa’s newfound artistic flair with what she was supposed to send me I found out soon enough that this was the case.
A Portrait to Remember Her
Lyssa wanted to draw a portrait to me and give it to me so that I would have something of her to remember her by. She would get a good picture of me and then have it blown up to three times the size and then construct a grid of the photo and on the paper to draw her portrait. This is how she used to do it back in the day and Lyssa told me that if she really tried it would take her a whole day to finish a remarkable portrait. The picture of Johnny Depp took Lyssa months to complete and that was due to her bid for perfection.
That picture also came a runner up in an art competition at the so I’m not deeming Lyssa’s credibility to be poor at these things. If only Lyssa was more of the artist and less of the little princess figure she is now I would find her more comforting but that will never happen. If Lyssa was more open and artful, if she didn’t contradict my personality in so many ways, there would be something to live for again but there isn’t.
Almost There Ambition
Unfortunately, I know Lyssa too well and this art ambition she has right now will quickly fade. Lyssa doesn’t follow through with much and this isn’t an exception to the rule. I feel that Lyssa only took this course of action because as usual, she feels that we are drifting apart. When Lyssa and I last had problems after our break up she told me she was thinking of writing me a letter but it never came. There are countless examples of Lyssa’s ‘Almost There’ ambition but hence the name, it never does appear to happen.
Gifts From the Heart
Lyssa’s gesture was a good one and if she did draw a portrait of me I would treasure it as anything from the heart I would treat as if it were priceless. Just as I wrote to Lyssa from the heart I expected her to keep these as more valuable than the gifts I had bought her most of the times it felt like Lyssa became more excitable with one of my gifts. That’s another thing that contrasts Lyssa and I, gifts from the heart would please me more and from the pocket would do more a favor for Lyssa’s enthusiasm.
