Controversial Poetical Days
These poetical days are proving to be controversial, at least in my mind and frame of thought. Tonight I have concluded an idea that has been at least a month in the making and for the last couple of nights I have really been struggling for thought. As if that wasn’t bad enough, my eyes were as deprived as my mind was of inspiration to wake what was asleep and I don’t think I did.
Last night while I was working on my newest Sonnet I devised out of my loose frame of thought a couple of lines that I rather had slapped together without putting much deep thought into them. I didn’t like the sound of most of the text because it sounded too extreme or too plain, never on par. Getting shitted as I almost had completed it the morning had come upon me and with my almost blank though pattern I quickly finished off the last couple of lines.
Taking a look at it tonight I knew I couldn’t submit it as my poetry as it was fairly bland. Thus, tonight I got back to work on it and I feel that I have done a good enough job on it but the thought was not one hundred percent there again.
Fear of a Dud Month
This writer’s block is really starting to get to me. I’m wondering if I will ever see a day again where inspiration will be as easy and fast as these buttons I find to type on this keyboard. Mostly a month has passed now and although the first two Sonnets of this month were fairly exceptional I believe this month to have been a dud fashion.
Let’s hope the withering of Autumn is not going to catch up to my poetical flair as me without good poetry is like having no mind nor hands in which to purge these balmy stains of everyday life. This latest attempt at creating my latest Sonnet and bringing it out of the woodworks has been rather successful but with the hiccup of not being up to my standard of perfection. There were much unbound lines that I created out of my thought that will serve me in future Sonnets but trying to re-complete this Sonnet was like watching sparks fly like unpredictable thunderbolts whilst simultaneously trying to grab the right one within my hand.
Two Versions of One Sonnet
Because I have written two Sonnets on the same subject I will recite the remade and more proper Sonnet as the actual feigned masterpiece and then in lesser print I will entail the entirety of the original. Take no real note to the original though as it to me is just a scrap piece of paper that bears the stain of my lesser fortitude for befitting poetry.
Also take note before it is written that line (1.11) had one of two lines for me to choose and obviously, the one I chose to be fractionally better is within the Sonnet. More suitable I would not know at this point what was but I shall recite the line that could have been of the Sonnet. The line from the Sonnet ‘Thy apparition that these bulbs don’t see’ on line (1.11) could also read ‘Old wounds I cast-off and wipe on this sleeve’. Now to the reality of my newest Sonnet, let it be read…
Thy apparition that these bulbs don’t see
(‘The Lost Years’ Sonnets)
Oh that when strangers cannot conquer minds,
Shall I lose my wink to lost reverie,
Where’t thou might glance and still father time,
In most darksome night, there an angel be,
Such beauteous form I’th lost in erst years,
Thy trunk dwells beneath mine evergreen limbs,
Here ‘tis more real love than surreal love ere,
That I glaze yon face whenst fall shrouded trims,
With thy luster, gracious sun thou dost thieve,
Long winter’s old tale is short summer’s creep,
Bestow I love, leave lust cast on this sleeve,
Who shall never kiss the crown of my sleep,
For a better night has seen better days,
Than I have of you in my bettered ways,
The Less Desirable Draft
To explain this Sonnet in my sleepy state would not be the best of actions but when I do wake tomorrow I will speak of it. However, I should now get to the other less desirable version of this Sonnet but I will not care to explain this as freely.
Before I do print that Sonnet let me just note that lately I’ve been duplicating a lot of my poetry. There have been ideas and words that have been circulating amongst newer works and I feel this is due to my writer’s block and getting stressed for ideas. However, there is no need to worry as I feel I will soon be out of this rut. Let us hope these couple of triple positive mental days will bring the turnaround but I doubt it. Anyway, here is the less desirable version of my newest Sonnet and the draft of which I wrote the better masterpiece, take no real notice of it…
Thy apparition that these bulbs don’t see
(Draft of ‘The Lost Years’ Sonnets)
When nights are most darksome bethink I thee,
Oh that when strangers cannot conquer minds,
Shall I lose my wink to lost reverie,
Where’t thou might glance and still father time,
Here ‘tis more real love than surreal love ere,
An’t be here thy lovesome, I be thy swarm,
Soused in these tholed Elysian Fields here,
Mine essence hath spied such beauteous form,
With thy luster, gracious sun thou dost thieve,
Thine hair, that dressed of angel’s apparel,
Shines deep and glows of snow’s white wintry weave,
And thy blushing peach complexion I shall,
For a better night has seen better days,
Than I of thou have in my bettered ways,
Skipping Before Sunrise
Now that I’ve just done 1000 reps on the skipping rope, shaved and had just had a shower I am ready and able to finish off my chronology. The time right now is 7:00 a.m. which isn’t that late to what I’ve been getting to sleep to early.
Yesterday I woke up at 2:30 p.m. and that Wednesday morning I got to sleep at around 8:30 a.m. What I was trying to do was keep myself awake until mum and dad were heading out for shopping. That way I could get my photos developed, put money in the bank and not have to walk there and back. Alas, I thought that after I had a morning shower I would just lie on the bed with the television on which would keep me awake.
Soon after when I began to drift off I just gathered that I should get a bit of sleep and hopefully the television would wake me up earlier than usual. So that I did and as I started to drift off I wondered if it would be wise to get mum to wake me up when they were headed for Campbelltown. That never happened and when I woke up around 1:00 p.m. I walked to the stairway and called for mum, she wasn’t there. Therefore I got myself back to sleep for an hour or more.
The Earthquake I Slept Through
Apparently there was a small earthquake that measured 4.4 on the Richter Scale and it the middle of it was supposedly at Appin. The time it went off was at 1:00 p.m. and seeming I was awake at that time I wonder why I didn’t feel it. Even so, Lyssa told me that she could feel it all the way in the City as it was lightly shaking the floor and she was nine stories up. Ali called Penelope to tell her that there was a minor earthquake down here and I was asleep through the whole thing.
I believe that the reason I wasn’t woken up by the earthquake was because I was sleeping on the waterbed at the time. Because I’m sleeping on a mattress of water I don’t feel all the commotion around it, it’s always like I’m on the sea. An experience it would have been to have felt an earthquake but it never happened. Upon hearing the news I straight away thought about my computer and all the Diary information on there. If a more disastrous earthquake were to hit us I would stand the chance of losing all the information on my computer and that alone would be a devastating prospect.
Fortnightly Food Binge
Waking up at 2:30 p.m. I made my way upstairs to where mum and dad had come home fresh with the fortnightly food binge. Jumping straight into the cheese and bacon buns and some cake rolls I knew that I could binge on these sorts of things as it only happens once a fortnight. With the time gently drifting away I got myself ready to Campbelltown and with mum giving me $20 for he share of the phone bill I was on my way. The walk to Campbelltown wasn’t that arduous and I didn’t sweat that much but it was a workout, a fair one at that.
Once at Campbelltown my first place of business was to head to the Mall and hand in my photo negatives so I would have an hour to wait upon them. From there I made my way to Commonwealth Bank where I filled out a deposit slip for $100 into my Credit Card Account and then waited.
That waiting turned into fifteen minutes as the line was progressing slow and finally when it was done I made my way to the shop that sells laptop computers on Dumaresq Street. Handing me a piece of paper with all the laptops he was selling the Asian guy didn’t have any to look at and not bothered to ask him to get one out I made my way back to the Mall.
Resting at the Mall
Walking through the Mall as I had some time to spare I didn’t really see anything in particular that I fancied, woman wise. Sitting out the back where the bottom car park is, I rested there for about twenty minutes before it was time for me to get my photos.
In that time I noticed a blonde girl on the top railing having her smoke and occasionally looking down upon me. It was only once or twice but I would provoke her to look again when I would glance at her on occasion. What I admired was her breasts and although they weren’t all that, they looked good from my vantage point in her thin knitted cream sweater. As she walked towards the upper car park and out of my view she once again looked down and I gave her a little smile but I got nothing back. Looking behind her I had seen a Samoan guy and gathered that she was probably with him.
Rarely Showing Teeth
Before I move on, I would like to note that when it comes to smiling and showing my teeth, it is a rare occurrence for me. Looking at my photo album, I noticed that there was only two or three photos in the whole edition with me showing some teeth in a smile. From one extreme to the other, Lyssa is always smiling in her photos and so are her friends yet Lyssa always tells me I have the best smile without having to use teeth so what figures.

Diary Of A Mad Chaos is a daily diary written from March 1996 until today, of which individual books and book series have been created, namely “The Lost Years” an exploration of young, entwined love, the “Wubao In China (猎艳奇缘)” book series which provides an extensive comparative analysis of the cultural differences between Eastern and Western societies, and the book titled “Foreigner (华人)” an exploration of race relations in Australia.
