A Short Lived Pay Rise
Good news, my payment has gone up due to my penalty seizing but it seems a bit ironic that it will be so short lived. The money has gone up only by fifteen dollars and I could probably work my wonders and have it up to full pay with one pleading phone call but the fact remains, I only have one more payment left before all my work is undone.
With the extra money I will be receiving I will be able to stash it away for savings or I could use it to buy some new pants for the Gym as I use the same ones all the time and the black has faded almost to a brown.
My phone bill has arrived and it is $200 which is what I was hoping for but expecting a higher tag. If mum didn’t try to ring Yugoslavia for three minutes and dad didn’t ring bill up in Queensland every now and again you would be able to chop off thirty dollars but it doesn’t matter now.
As I have been planning all these months for this day to come, all is in order and I have nothing to worry about except that I won’t be getting money now. If I could hold out for this last fortnight which I don’t doubt I will be superfluous in my joy of what had been accomplished.
Poetry on Hold
Today was another day to myself but once again, my thoughts of poetical delight were not with me. Despite my having written down a couple of lines before getting to sleep I still can’t feel that poet’s touch and rather, I have writer’s block. Within one or two nights a streak of positive days will be upon me, triple positive days. Hopefully within them I will be able to get the alone time I have been getting these past few days but I will also be able to capitulate to my poetical flair and capitalize on it.
Still I am to give recognition to the lost years Sonnet I have been trying to write in the past couple of days but because I seek perfection or close to it in this series of Sonnets I have stayed my hand so as to not create anything below my standards. Tonight I do not feel a greater need to be poetical than I had felt last night but these nights without poetical surprise are creeping up on me and one of these days (If note sooner than later) I will spring upon poetry with a cumbersome desire.
Seven Hours of Poor Sleep
Waking up on my Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. I had been sleeping for seven hours. Tossing and turning during most of my sleep I couldn’t get myself comfortable and am now finding the ground as uncomfortable as the waterbed makes me seem. Breathing easy has become a problem during my sleep as I kept having to blow my nose but there wouldn’t be anything there. This forbade me once again to sleep for half an hour and even though I had control of my yawns I was getting irritated with always having to go through a stressing period before sleep.
Despite my lack of good sleep I woke up and made my way upstairs to where mum had bought me a cheese and bacon bread to eat for my breakfast. There was nothing else in the house and I feel that mum was feeling a tad guilty for there being no food. Taking my meal downstairs which was a whole foot long roll I watched some television for a little while and then I turned my computer on and wrote into my Diary the poetical thoughts I had written on paper before getting to sleep.
With this done I now made my way to Bradbury shops where I browsed over some books in the newsagent before taking out my $150. Clean teeth are an important part of my health so I made my way to the supermarket and bought myself some tooth whitening toothpaste. Getting myself back home with a small stroll I eyed the Gym knowing I would be there in a short while and then headed home.
Failing to Nap Properly
Once home I mucked around a bit more on the computer and tuned onto some more television. Growing tired all the more and with my eyes becoming overhung and daft I turned the computer off and decided to get one or two hours more of sleep. The time was around 5:00 p.m. when I got back to sleep and knowing that I had to get to the Gym soon I tried not to get into any deep sleep. Time passed and as it got darker I wasn’t any more into a deeper sleep than when I lay down initially.
Tossing and turning for two hours I finally woke myself up feeling replenished but now late for the Gym. Pondering if I should head off or leave it for another day I knew I had to get down there despite my feeling in an over-trained state once again.
Jett Moves Closer
Thus, leaving for the Gym at 7:00 p.m. I made it back in an hour and at that time there wasn’t much of a crowd there. Jett was the first person I had seen walking into the Gym and sitting down to chat with him and Maddox he told me that he had now moved closer into Bradbury. Jett now has a house with a phone line so he won’t have to come over to my house and keep calling Min-Su, it will be a thing of the past.
Pepsi at the Gym
Pepsi was also at the Gym and we talked every now and again. We are getting along now with each other and we aren’t just a smile as we walk past. Talking about bodybuilding as it was the common topic he just told me about his cutting up and how he ate lots of rice but being Asian you would expect it to be that way, no offense to Asians.
Anyway, let me now get to the Gym workout despite it not being that challenging. The only part that was beneficial in my workout was when Pepsi told me to hold for a count of five on the Machine Ab Crunches and as I did hold I felt it greatly afterwards. Even though it didn’t feel like that good of a workout I am feeling it in the Chest, Triceps and Abdominals so go figure. Redundancy in words is my specialty, I do it all the time so let me just get to the Gym workout now…
Chest Day With a Sore Side
Chest: Beginning with my two minute warm-up I moved on to do four sets of warming up for the Chest as I felt I needed it. The right side of my Chest is starting to feel an all too memorable pain so I think I should start cutting down on heavy exercises or back off by ten pounds next time I do my Chest. Starting my heavy sets with Bench Press I had myself a spot but found that I couldn’t even lift three before I needed his assistance.
Making my way to Peck Deck Fly’s with 180 pounds I just managed to pull out 12 reps, it was fairly strenuous. Moving to Incline Dumbbell Press with 60 pounders I managed 10 reps with my right side Chest starting to feel that ticklish pain. Moving right along to Machine Seated Bench Press with 160 pounds I performed 6 reps and taking the weight down finished another 4. Dips was next where I managed 8 reps before my triceps gave out.
Seated Machine Bench Press came again with 160 pounds to find strength in 10 reps. Cable Crossovers with 60 pounds was next where I created 12 reps. Putting up the weight to 70 pounds and bending over I finished off with another 10 reps. Lastly was Pullovers where I found 70 pounds fairly easy to complete 12 reps.
Biceps Fade Away
Biceps: Hoping that the Biceps would see me regain my enthusiasm I was wrong, it only diminished. Starting with a warm-up I pondered upon my first exercise only to walk to the Preacher Cable Curls and complete 10 reps with 60 pounds. Having a relatively close grip on the EZ Curl bar I then moved to Alternate Dumbbell Curls with 40 pounders and while seated performed 5 reps.
Pausing I completed another two reps and taking the weight down finished with 6 more reps. Concentration Curls with 35 pounds was next but I wasn’t faring too well although I completed 10 reps in two turns. Standing Cable Curls was next and with 65 pounds I managed only 7 reps before conking out. Reversing my hand grip and taking the weight down to 40 pounds I completed 10 reps of Reverse Cable Curls.
Abdominals: With Pepsi’s little tip I completed my first set of 30 reps with 60 pounds and holding the crunch. The second set was also with 30 reps but the last two sets comprised of 20 reps and then another 15 reps to finish it all off.
