A Sonnet Series for Lyssa

Just having been looking through parts of my Diary entries I came across a certain Sonnet and then a certain poetical course in my Diary. It is for this reason coupled with the new thought of writing poetry for Lyssa on Christmas that I thought to write three Sonnets for Lyssa in which I have already found one. The Sonnet that I have written tonight was inspired by a passage in October 9th, the last two paragraphs. From this paragraph or two of inspirational wording I created my newest Sonnet and as you will see half of it is from that passage.

The first poem that is already depicted in November is called ‘Subconscious Kisses’ and the language isn’t as thick as I have made it in this second Sonnet in a series of three but I could probably diminish that aspect of this poem. This first poem was created on the last day of November, this poem on the 16th of December, when shall the last be produced. Anyway, I’m going to include this poem here in my Diary and then maybe a little explanation if it’s needed…

The Second Sonnet of Three

Such is Thy Love, That Gentle Mine Hand Writes

(Love’s ternate Sonnets)

Solemn love, When last I lay beside thee,

Yours was none but such a beautiful sight,

Thou cherished, who lay her head so lightly,

With a sweet embrace and a kiss goodnight,

Gentle brow, bid your night be full of dreams,

And thy cheeks kissed, wherever thou may be,

Let yon mind wander and bathe by my stream,

And my love, like an open thought to thee,

Thou speak to none but yet thy lips arouse,

Yet, I kiss thy head fore I kiss thy lips,

How I yearn thee to breathe as thou dost drowse,

Thus, Let thy brow be fodder for my lips,

This craving I endure when thou depart,

This bed I loath when ‘tis missing thy heart,

Explaining the Lines

The only explanation this precise poem really needs is line (1.7) where I am asking for Lyssa’s mind to wander and find me in her dreams where she can sit with me upon tranquility. And let my love (1.8) in Lyssa’s dream be like an open thought to her meaning let her think of my love as being unobtrusive and full of selection and opportunity. Thus let my love be as free as Lyssa’s thoughts are and so open to Lyssa as her open thoughts may be.

In lines (1.9 to 1.12) Lyssa’s lips are seen very tempting to me but even though I yearn to kiss her lips while she sleeps I treat myself to her brow or her forehead as I am afraid that I will awake Lyssa as she breathes by kissing her lips. The last two lines just say that I miss Lyssa when she’s not around and I hate sleeping in my bed alone when Lyssa could be with me in it.

Sniffles and Sleep

Okay, now it is very early in the morning and by this little sniffle I’m producing I would be right in saying that last night’s sneeze or two developed into some sort of hay-fever. Nevertheless I am not deterred and with this sniff I shall sleep and with this sleep shall my muscles beg to recuperate for today’s session upon the Chest, Biceps and Abdominals.

Three Sonnets Finished

Here I sit once again in front of my computer and an amazing task has been completed. Well, it wasn’t amazing but I feel that I’ve completed the three Sonnets that I wish to send Lyssa. The first Sonnet ‘Subconscious Kisses’ had me situated in the poem as lying next to Lyssa as she sleeps.

The second poem ‘Such is thy love that gentle mine hand writes’ is based on me being distant of Lyssa but thinking of her as she is away from my bed and I sleep in it as empty as it is. The third poem newly called ‘While thou sleep the elements sleep but not’ is once again about me not being with Lyssa at the time but begging that the elements look over her and protect her through the night and let her sleep as peacefully as she would if I were there.

Already I have thoughts as to how these three poems are going to be showcased and only a little part of me is telling me not to send her these poems as she won’t understand them or appreciate them in how I would like her to. Still, I feel that Lyssa will greatly appreciate my poems and that is why I am still sending them.

After all, Lyssa is starting once again in liking me and I hope that it’s not another phase. Rather, Lyssa was once again thinking of coming over tonight but we both knew it would be too costly. Instead, Lyssa asked me to meet her in the City so we could have lunch and spend time with each other and if I get some good sleep tonight I will.

Then there are the plans we are making for Saturday where up front we both know that sex is going to be great. Lyssa was reading me some article about how to give a man multiple orgasms and as she was reading them to me she suggested we try one of them. Lyssa is very enthusiastic about Saturday night and wanting to be with me, she’s very eager. Anyway, now that we are upon a new page let me now print my new poem and then have some explanation if needed.

Moon Sun and Breeze

While Thou Sleep the Elements Sleep But Not

(Love’s ternate Sonnets)

Gentle moon, Gentle mistress of the night,

Shine thy light on beauty’s queen, care as you do,

Her cheeks, aglow for mine lips to touch light,

And when night has been won, bid thee, Adieu,

Gentle sun, that mine tired eye sparse doth see,

Prithee, Wake not such a dutiful soul,

More peaceful ‘tis beauty when she doth sleep,

And sleep does she in such light apparel,

Gentle breeze, art thou not weak at the knees,

That steals a kiss upon beauty’s fine skin,

Thou, such an epitaph of memories,

And to awaken her, ‘twould be a sin,

Hence, Gentle moon, gentle breeze and gentle sun,

Beseech I of thee to protect her as one,

There is not much to explain there except maybe for one line or two. Line (1.8) states that the girl (Who is Lyssa) is sleeping in midst of suns light that does beam down on her lightly covering her body like clothing. Thus ‘light apparel’ signifies the suns covering of the body as the moon does disappear. The rest is pretty much self explanatory.

Anyway, I was thinking of having these three poems printed one slightly larger than the other then have them all laminated. Cutting a hole into the top left hand corner of each poem I will place a tiny rope through them joining them in order of size. That will be the package, now what do you think…
