The Mystery Call That Said Nothing (Part 2) – Mad Chaos: December 4, 1998

Gossip Travels Fast

From Sofia’s house we headed for a drive and on our way to nowhere Keith informed me about something he overheard. At first he didn’t want to say anything because Shawn and Tatton were around but he soon told me that Ali supposedly said “If I see Ace I’m going to smash him.” Personally I know that Ace is going to kick Ali’s ass in a fight, one because he’s larger and two because I know Ali’s all talk.

Not informing me on the source I worked out for myself that it was Kieran and two conceptions came to mind. Either Kieran is making up shit about Ali because he hates him. Where Ali could have told Penelope those words and then she would have told Bielka and then she would have informed Kieran who in turn spread the gossip. Gossip is fucked and when it comes into their hands there is no stopping who will know.

Then there’s the notion that Ali would have said that because Imad is now going out with Phoenix and Ace has fucked her a couple of times. Imad probably wants revenge but Ali is the one opening up his mouth because he doesn’t know how to keep it shut. Keith also informed me that shit was getting back to Ace and he was still getting blamed by Ace so Keith put one and one together and figured I was telling Lyssa then that shit was being spread through wind.

Ace and the Chevy's Plan

While speaking our conversations Ace gave Keith a call, he thought it would be Imad. Answering the phone Ace wanted to head to Chevy’s but asked if we would drive to his house so we did. Keith told me that Ace might question me about telling people but that would in turn get Keith in trouble, he didn’t ask me a thing. While there Ace tried to persuade all of us to go down to Chevy’s with him but I was only out for an hour at the most because I wanted to get home and start with my philosophy again.

In the end Ace persuaded Keith to go with him but no one ended up going inside with Ace. The reason he wanted to go to Chevy’s was because a girl that he said was a splitting image of ‘Ally Macbeal’ asked him to be there and he was hoping for some jiggy jiggy.

Keith also mentioned that Estella was once again single after so long and that’s why she was living at home when we pranked her. Ace informed us that she’s been saying we pranked her which is true and I spoke to her which is also true. She seems to blame Keith for it but he doesn’t want to take any responsibility even though he was there and also talking to her. From what I gather, Ace wants to fuck Estella or he has before.

Kebabs and Cruise Stories

Jumping into his jeep we scooted down to Campbelltown and around this time I asked to be dropped off home. Heading first to the Kebab shop near the Police Station on Queen Street we parked our cars for Ace to buy some food. While parking I noticed Masozi and Kofi pulling up into the same shop and as I waved to him I jumped out of the car to make some conversation.

Kofi walked into the kebab shop so I started conversation with Masozi about how he just came home from work. From what I heard Masozi works for Pacific Cruises as a Chef on a boat. Kofi went for work experience or some sort of training with him for six weeks while he was going out with Zola and as he came out to tell me the story he informed me that this was the time where she cheated on him with Everett.

This was also around the time that he had her name tattooed on his arm. Every day he was away in Goulbourn for his training he would call Zola on his mobile phone to speak with her. Well, he still hasn’t paid that bill off, it came up to over $1000. They commented about Binh having a nice car and I put one and one together for the first time in my life and remembered that Binh was on that Cruise a couple of weeks ago.

Concert After Party Plans

Shawn and Tatton were headed home and Keith was staying out with Ace driving his jeep as Ace didn’t have a license so I said goodbye, jumped in the car and headed home. While jumping in the car Kofi informed me that the Snoop Concert was still selling tickets for Monday’s show for $50. Kofi also told me about the after party and as I jumped out of the car for a second I made plans to call him on Saturday or Sunday so we can probably get together if he was going down.

Kofi or Masozi had no problems with that and if Masozi isn’t working they’ll probably head down, the three of us. If not I’ll probably get the information of where the after party is and then head down there with the rest of us, Ralf will definitely drive down. If that’s going to happen I’d want to get my camera from Binh and my dress shoes from Karl.

The Phone That Went Quiet

Both cars followed me home and dropping me off I stepped inside at 1:20 a.m. for a short while I started to finish off my last Diary entry and my last piece of Philosophy when I heard the phone ring. Picking up I heard nothing as I said hello and for a little while they held the phone then as if they were trying to sneak their hand out of the way while the phone was being put down they hung up taking a long time.

In the background I could have sworn I heard a girls voice and immediately I gathered that it was Imad or Sofia calling, maybe even Imad from back home. Whoever it was I can gather it had something to do with me seeing Imad at Sofia’s house tonight. What I thought was that Imad was ringing to see if I was home yet and hanging up the phone on me he probably called Tatton up to have a word with him because I wasn’t around anymore.

Dialing callback I found out that I did receive an unanswered call but it was from a private number or it could have been blocked. Ringing Keith seconds later I asked if he had been called by Imad but he told me he hadn’t. Then I tried giving Tatton a call but his answering machine came on his mobile phone so just to scare him a little I gave him a prank call breathing onto the phone and under my voice telling Tatton he was going to die. That was pretty hilarious and I know he’s going to think Imad sent it to him, he’s shitting himself about Imad, I know it.

Late Night Company

Nearing 2:30 a.m. Keith and Shawn came over in Ace’s car as he was alone in Chevy’s. They gave me unessential company for half an hour until the time came to 3:00 a.m. and it was time to pick up Ace from Chevy’s. Shawn and I played ‘Black Bitch’ while Keith played the stupid worm game on his phone. He’s become obsessed with it over time but when is he never obsessed over a television screen of some sort that needs almost no effort to watch. When they left I started back on this but I’m still wondering who pranked me.

Penelope Stuck on the Bypass

Now that my night is over I can speak of lesser thoughts on my mind and one of them is the restraint Lyssa is showing me with Penelope and Ali. It’s been a fair while now and I haven’t heard Lyssa talk of Penelope or Ali that much to me which means she’s finally listened to me. Keith also told me that Penelope was broken down on the by pass in Campbelltown when they were coming to my house in Ace’s car. With none of their friends now having cars it looks like they’re stuck there because neither of them is with NRMA. Whoops, Ali’s a mechanic so he would have fixed it, if he was there.
