Behind The Wheel Again

My license was now expired and the person that was supposed to be teaching me was drunk but considering I had confidence in my driving I only needed a person in the front seat showing me directions. As I reversed in Tatton’s car with an easy to get along with clutch (As is with most old cars) I found driving easy.

It came back to me like putting pen to paper after years of neglect and I found that my gear changes were smooth and the clutch did not slip at any time. Shawn and Tatton were impressed with my driving and they kept asking why I hadn’t gone for my license yet because it was clear that my driving was deserved of ‘P’ Plates.

Hot Dogs And Coca Cola

Heading to Wollongong we stopped the car at some service station near Macdonald’s. While there I parked the car so I could get out easily and inside the store Tatton shouted me to a hot dog sandwich and a banana. Walking outside past the front doors I heard a woman say to some guy “I know you, you’re Channing’s brother” and not able to help myself with a sarcastic remark I noted “I’m the brother of Billy”.

As we ate our food and shared coca cola that Tatton bought he told me the history of coca cola and how it originally had small quantities of Cocaine inside of it to keep people addicted. As we thought Tatton knew of this because it was banned from coca cola in what decade, none other than the 80’s which Tatton has a knack for.

Jumping back into the car we made our way back to the Cabin car-park and while there we noticed that a couple of cars had been broken into. Noticing a Commodore with the boot open Shawn noted that an amplifier was sitting inside and we were going to steal it but decided against it for the fact that if we got busted we would have been blamed for the whole ordeal.

Playing With The Camera

Heading back into the Cabin I was allowed to muck around with the camera for a while as I taped the bathroom with a sink full of Binh’s spew for the night. Also I took the camera outside and played knock and run on Azalea’s door for the memory of that night. Back inside I just mucked around with the camera and then turning it off everyone else went to sleep but Tatton who was sleeping next to Keith on the double bed and myself who was on the floor. The time was nearing 4:30 a.m. and as we were watching Rage I put my shoes back on and excused myself from the room to head for the beach.

Searching For The Beach

Dark was the night and long was my unknown venture towards the beach. In most directions I turned to hear for the distant sound of the ocean and I was fooled by the direction of the noise to head that way. Finally turning back I found my way across to the portion of Cabins closer to the beach and following some signs visible by the arising sun I made my venture to the sands. As I made my way to the beach I crept up to a loud persistency of color on the dunes of sand accompanying the beach and it’s waters.

The loud color was that of sleeping bags and bodies wrapped inside of them and as I crept closer I noticed the lame attempt to light a log with a couple of pieces of paper. The fire wood would have done a good job here but poor old Buck couldn’t give a fuck. Taping Tyler on the hat he looked towards me but then went back to sleep almost instantly. The three of them were cooped up in their sleeping bags firmly as the sun was rising.

Watching The Sun Not Rise

There wasn’t much of a hint of cold air but I sat on the large unburnt log on looking the horizon. Clouds were just at the area where the sun was supposedly rising and as I sat there for over half an hour I witnessed the sun rise behind the clouds and give color to the buildings in the distance.

The sun I didn’t actually get to see as it hid behind the clouds and as I started to get tired with yet no sleep I made my walk back to the Cabin. Stepping back inside around 6:00 a.m. I noticed that everyone was asleep but kept myself awake by watching Rage. When that was over I turned the channel to something else but I kept myself awake for the whole time.

A Cold Morning Swim

The first person to wake up was Binh and as he had himself a shower the whole room was woken up by Tyler who stumbled and fell into the Cabin tripping at the front door. Everyone then opened their eyes and around 8:00 a.m. was the time that everyone started getting their acts together. As we were getting ready to leave at 10:00 a.m. I made my way down to the beach and decided upon waking the other two up.

My walk back to the beach was more charted this time around but seeing all the people on the beach encircling the sleeping bags was a wonderment. How could at least 20 people wake up so early in the morning and go for a swim. As Vedat and Karl woke up to my voice we started cracking jokes and as the sun was somewhat visible and warm Vedat and Karl stripped down to their boxer shorts (But in Karl’s case to his underwear) and jumped in the water.

Myself I was having trouble coming to grips with the fact that the water would be cold but I too dropped down to my boxers and jumped into the water. Nevertheless, I jumped in only to my waist and as I jumped around a bit we all jumped out of the water around the same. Karl had slept on my towel the night before and he used it to dry himself. Deciding not to inform him that it was my towel yet we made our way back to the Cabins where we also got ready to leave.

Meditating For The Camera

Shawn once again took out the camera and this time he was taping Tatton and I having conversations but trying to have it somewhat scripted for fun. Tyler was trying to be humorous by being the guy to say ‘Cut’ after every take and ‘Action’ at the beginning. Walking outside after our fun I jumped onto a meter box and with my shirt off started collecting sun. To most it would have looked like meditation so as Tyler came out with the camera I started to meditate for the camera.

Finally finished we headed out the doors and jumping in with Keith while we waited for the other cars to show up we headed for the beach. By now I started to get tired and as we pulled up to the beach at Wollongong Keith got pissed off because Binh took his parking spot and then Shawn jumped into another one behind him. Keith was saying before that he might go home but now he didn’t want to look for another parking spot so I jumped out as he left for home. All my stuff was in Tatton’s car because I knew this was going to happen beforehand so I wasn’t that worried.

Still More To Tell

Right now the time is 5:30 a.m. and I still have my time at the beach to speak of as yet. After that I still have to speak of my conversations with Lyssa and then her coming over my house and me picking her up with the help of my dad. Lyssa was very intent on sleeping over. Then there is the ordeal that we went through for the night after watching our movie.

The fact that Lyssa and I became heated but she didn’t let me finish her off for some reason and because of that I wasn’t allowed to relieve myself by Lyssa. The controversy that this brought to my feelings for the night and the fact that I sat watching Lyssa for a little while before brushing my hand against Lyssa’s cheek as if to say “You are so right for me, why can’t you be mine” and then sleeping on the ground because of my anger. Sunday night I felt as if Lyssa didn’t care enough to fulfill my needs even though I asked considerately.

For that reason I thought Lyssa was only using our time together to reap all that she can and in turn using me. But, more will elaborate of this topic that begged me not speak out of anger on Monday or Sunday night but rather in hopes to bypass it by speaking of chronological expressionism. Monday I still to explain and even though nothing much happened Lyssa and I had an eventful conversation and Shawn along with Tatton came over near 11:00 p.m. while I was playing the computer. More on that later, for now, sleep…
