Centrelink, a Poem and Plans (Part 2) – Mad Chaos: September 25, 1998

Jett called Anders because he was lending a body-board from him and then he was off back home in his car to wait upon the call. The time is nearing later in the night and I do have to rest early to wake up around 8:00 a.m. tomorrow but I’m wondering where everyone is. Jett told me that Keith is at Kogarah, for what reason he would be back in my old territory I’m not sure of. As for Shawn, Ralf or Tatton, they are all probably at home enjoying the Play Station or Internet. Ali would either be with Penelope or out with Tod and the rest in the City. Imad will probably be tagging along with him and Jett will also be at home right now. Lyssa will be out tonight for Penelope’s birthday actually so Ali might be there with them. This is the second night that Lyssa has put off calling me and I know I probably won’t get to speak with her until Sunday because I’ll be out all day tomorrow and Lyssa will be out all night.

How much times do I proclaim this next sentence. When I get myself a car I will be free and more action will be bestowed upon my nights. That could be the truth, that should be the truth but as I learnt from Oprah today, the car doesn’t make the man. Who you are isn’t shown by what you drive, what job you hold, where you are from or who you are with. Who you are is shown from within and everything else is just an entity.

The time is 9:20 p.m. and I have nothing to do and no television to watch. So, I might go back into my Diary entries and work on the grammar and spelling mistakes as now I have completed the whole of my Diary. Lucky for me (Or Fate and luck were hand in hand) Imad told me about the Dos 2 Dos converter otherwise I would be stuck with printing out my entries and then typing them out. Then again, back in the days there was such a thing as OCR so I could have scanned my prints and the text would have been recognized but luckily, I had Imad’s idea. You know, since the ending of an elbow within the triangle the thought of writing another Blank Verse has forever been lost to bring forth truth. But, as time passes that truth is continually changed. My thoughts are now to speak of ‘The Triangle’ where I have given no meaningful phrase of words to describe such in Blank Verse expressionism. Maybe tonight I shall have that done, let me begin.

Friday 11:33 p.m.

Here we have it, after two or more hours of thinking upon the thoughts of the triangle and that whole saga, I have come up with something. Originally it was four lines too long so I had to come up with a Prologue for the Blank Verse Poem that should only be fourteen lines long. Well here you have it and below I will try to explain it…

Prologue

So elaborate, but defined angles,

Each deformed angle ‘twas perfect to scale,

Form yon triangle upon triangle,

Within yonder angles doth hold flame-pale,

Epilogue

Six sides doth hold these six flames and midst sins,

Equidistant light of Eternal Flame,

‘Bove such dominant flame pendulum swings,

Balanced are Lyssa, Jewell and mine blame,

Each dark hath light aside eyes opposing,

There shalt be no victor of high flame’s flare,

To push the Pendulum so highly strung,

Like opposing magnets, resists fire’s glare,

Swingeth yon Pendulum of confusion,

Back and forth, from mine to thee, dark to bright,

Whence flames douse, forth douse central illusion,

Thy Pendulum slows whence flames dimmed of light,

Death of Eternal Flame brings forth lost pride,

The flames hath ceased power, the suns hath dried.

Beginning with the Prologue we understand that the angles within the triangle are very complicated but yet defined. The angles of the triangle (Described as deformed in character) are perfect to scale. Thus, imagine with the next line that each triangle being perfect in accordance is 45 degrees in each angle. Placing one triangle upon the other and turning it to form a six sided star would be the outcome and the lines, the veins of such tapestry. The last line of the Prologue brings forth the center of all flames, the ‘Light of Eternal Flame’ is what should it be called. So to cap it off, there are six angles, not yet described of their true meanings. In the center of all these angles is a central flame knows as what I described beforehand.

Now to the actual poem, the Epilogue, the summary of the whole plot and story. Six sides of the triangle each hold a burning flame. Because there are six points to this star it represents sin, not as potent as evil. Midst sin (These six angles that represent, Lyssa, Jewell and I, both dark and light sides) there is a main flame, the ‘Light of Eternal Flame’ as mentioned before. Above this central flame swings a pendulum. Because the triangle is so equal in angles and there are six flames on each angle they are represented by Lyssa, Jewell and I.

“Each dark hath light aside eyes opposing” tries to make sense of the fact that there are two triangles, a dark triangle and a light triangle. There are three people named with flames on each triangle. Thus, there is a light flame of my actions and a dark side to oppose such. Dark and light sit next to each other, light going first then dark. Dark also represents closed eyes and light represents eyes opened. Therefore it would make sense of “When mine eyes wert closed but a sin when thee open” in the case of Jewell and I.

So going around from the top of the triangle and successively to the right around the whole six studded triangle you would get this. My light flame, my dark flame, Lyssa’s light flame, Lyssa’s dark flame, Jewell’s light flame, Jewell’s dark flame. When the Pendulum swings across the middle it can safely travel in direct line from my light to Lyssa’s dark (Or closed eyes meaning she doesn’t want to hear what I say) or from my dark to Jewell’s light. There is also a chance that Jewell’s dark can swing to Lyssa’s light and vice versa. Because the angles are deformed light can be moved across so that different moods are created and names intersect each other.

“There shalt be no victor of high flame’s flare” just states that none of us will be better off as long as the central flame burns for the three of us. Where the flame actually pushes the Pendulum, the central flame acts like an opposing magnet to the Pendulum made of iron. Just as if it were skin to touch a living flame, you would quickly take your hand away. Such is the action of the Pendulum and never stays in the middle resisting the flames it encounters. Therefore, when the Pendulum actually swings to such a flame within the angles the flame forces it back, across the central flame and in the opposing direction. When a flame was doused somewhat or heightened in strength the pendulum would swing in a different direction as if forced. Thus, direction is always twofold.

The Pendulum stands for confusion and each time it swings it confuses each angle it encounters. This confusion eventually brings the flame more power or extinguishes this flame. When the flames of the triangles actually start to douse so does the central flame and only then can the Pendulum slow down and eventually come to a halt as the Central Flame will not have any fire left to act as resistance. Thus, confusion will stop when the flames of all die, when Lyssa and I forget about each other and move on and how Jewell and I have already done, forgotten about each other and doused our flames.

Only when all flames die down and extinguish will my lost pride be brought back to me. “The suns hath dried” brings attention to the fact that light of all sources has been extinguished and darkness will be all that will remain, darkness of ‘The Forgotten Years”.

I’m not sure if any of that really made sense but it’s my first opportunity to make sense of such a confusing topic. Yet, it hasn’t been finished so I can only guess with my words what the ending of such flames would be like if indeed they ever end. This poem I tried not to make so confusing but guess what, it was confusing. Well, sort of like the situation I’m in right now. Well, now I have to get to sleep after eating my chicken and get ready for waking up early tomorrow to head for Cronulla beach.
