Binh Knocks About Trivia
Before I talk of Sunday now let me just note in detail the events that took place when I came back home from work. More importantly, let me entail with depiction the conversation I had with Lyssa tonight and her chance call to my inadvertent prophecy. Firstly, I got home at 7:00 p.m., started watching television and then around 7:30 p.m. I heard a knock on my window. Answering the door I found it to be Binh who was probably still upset at us for being indecisive on Saturday night.
Asking me if I was ready to head out to Trivia night I knew I couldn’t go out because I had all this work of chronology to attend to. In addition, there was only twenty minutes of relaxing time before I got home and I was still eating so there was no chance. Anyway, an hour into my typing at 8:30 p.m. I receive a surprise call and even as the first ring reverberated through my room, I could sense the vibe that it would be Lyssa. As Lyssa said her first hello I interrupted, “I thought you would call tonight”.
A Question About Mornings
Dazzled by my words she sat there curious for a couple of seconds and then when I asked her “What day is it today” and she got past the “It’s Monday” stupidity she finally clicked. “Come on” I moaned as I thought she was putting on a naïve act of not remembering, “I know you called tonight because of that”. After Lyssa assured me that she had a different reason she voiced “Oh no, now I feel bad about what I want to ask you” and after a second she added “don’t worry about it”.
There was no grudge in my voice as I realized Lyssa was calling for her own agenda so I asked what her question was repeatedly, knowing it would concern some guy, most probably Ralf. Lyssa’s question was this, “You know when you saw me in the mornings on the train, did you think I looked ugly, honestly”. My instant reaction to that was to say no as to comfort Lyssa and shield her in a way as to also sound mostly truthful.
The truth is that when Lyssa and I were going out I didn’t see someone who was less attractive than to when she wore makeup because I was looking at who she was inside and that made her look wholly beautiful. Nevertheless, when last before last I sat with Lyssa on the train I didn’t like how her scruffy hair looked or how her appearance made her look more like a bitch. The mornings just weren’t made for Lyssa to look pretty in and this was her biggest concern.
As soon as Lyssa asked that vital first question I knew exactly where it was headed and despite Lyssa saying that it had nothing to do with Ralf I knew it to be so. From there Lyssa entered a theoretical question in which she asked for a man’s perspective. The question started as such before I interrupted.
Lyssa And Ralf
“Just say that me and you got onto each other and you were persistent for sex but I didn’t give it to you and then you saw me in the morning looking like I do, would you stop talking to me”. I actually stopped Lyssa dead in her tracks when she mentioned the word sex and bellowed “Did you have sex with Ralf”. Lyssa tried her best to make it seem like it wasn’t about Ralf at all but the whole conversation was all about him.
Without all the fairy flossing, Lyssa advised me what I practically had already guessed. When Lyssa and Ralf went to the party on the weekend (Who by the way the party guy is the guy who fucked and chucked Sienna at her formal) nothing happened in the car but at the party the both of them got onto each other. Lyssa then mentioned how they slept in the same area and Ralf was pushing somewhat for more sexual endeavors but Lyssa kindly pushed him away.
Missing the whole point of her inquisitive question she went on to note that Ralf got to see Lyssa in the morning without her makeup, looking her natural self. On the way to his soccer games the both of them were chatting along fine but it was the lack of conversation back home that bothered Lyssa. “Is there anything wrong”
Lyssa kept asking him as she had a complex about how he had seen her in full freckle mode and he complimented her repression by replying “No, I’m just thinking about how I could have done better in the game”. As soon as I heard these words, from a guy’s perspective I knew that he was thinking incriminating thoughts about Lyssa, the sort of thoughts that separate people.
He was most probably thinking about how Lyssa wasn’t all she was cracked up to be and topping the fact that she doesn’t put out would have capped his destructive thoughts.
Why Ralf Walked Away
Getting back to where I think the whole night started to turn, I believe that Ralf was only after one thing. Just like all the other guys that have tried to get into Lyssa’s pants, when Lyssa kept pushing Ralf away he took that as an insult to his beauty and decided to forget about Lyssa because basically, for him, she doesn’t put out. I explained the difference between me and guys like Ralf to Lyssa trying not to make it sound as if I was coming across as the hero.
Basically, people like Ralf are dominantly after sex and they only think with their dicks. It shows by how Lyssa told me he only has her number, she doesn’t even know his last name, they’ve been out five times and she has no clue as to if he has a girlfriend or if he’s even single.
He hasn’t taken the time to get to know Lyssa before putting the moves on her and as I know sleaze like him, he’s definitely a male slut as deserved his name shall be. I had more interest for Lyssa in one pinky than all of these flings put together and it was because I developed feelings for Lyssa and knew from the moment that I saw her that I would want a relationship with her that combined our mutual love for more than a year.
I explained to Lyssa what I always preach in this diary but never proclaim, that we are completely different people in many different ways. I explained how Lyssa is the type to go around and create little diversions to her loneliness by going out with bastards. In this stage Lyssa is only seeming like she is attracting bastards and as I wouldn’t be one to carry on with a relationship that I know is going nowhere, Lyssa seems to use these male sluts as a stepping platform to more humiliation to her hope of a real man.
Lyssa is looking for that ever illustrious man who she can love and go out with and since me she has had no such feeling or luck. Lyssa noted how Ralf didn’t mean anything to her and she would never go out with him yet she was asking me if he would never call her back because he got scared of what she looked like in the morning. If you ask me, he gave up chasing simply because she didn’t give out and I know that’s a sad tale but it’s the probable truth.
Bubbly When She’s Drunk
Lyssa started to get upset about not being able to find the right guy and in this sad tone she vowed to change her personality. Lyssa told me she wanted to go out, not care about men and just have fun and this is where she confused me. Taking her through what she does and what she wants to change into there was absolutely no difference. However, Lyssa spurted out “I want to be more bubbly” and this being her wish of personality change made me laugh.
“You’re already bubbly” I laughed adding, “Especially when you’re drunk.” Lyssa paused for a second and then responded, “You like it when I’m drunk don’t you,” and as I agreed she uttered, “because you get what you want.” Almost instantly I replied in protest, “Well, you get what you want too,” and as she agreed wholeheartedly the subject took a sharp turn for change.
Talking About The Movie
Ecstatic with her next line of questioning Lyssa asked me if I had seen ‘Austin Powers’ yet. As I acknowledged my visit on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Lyssa screeched how she absolutely adored ‘Austin Powers’ and how it had her in stitches throughout the whole movie. As Lyssa mentioned that she had been at Macarthur Square for the most of the day I noted how I walked into Big W with Keith one of those days and noticed Nikita, Janice and some other guys walk past. “Yeah, I was with them” Lyssa replied and as I tried to recite my meeting with Nikita I couldn’t remember Lyssa being with them nor she with my passing her.
Anyway, as you will probably also learn some more of in later mixed chronology, Penelope also noticed me in Ettamogah Pub when Keith was betting away winning a heap of money. I now learnt that Naqi didn’t actually see me but just as well, I was told by Keith that I looked like a mean but funny little stalker, peering out the glass door of the pokies room with my nose almost to the glass as they walked past.
Lyssa continued to give the movie a wrap as she commented on how after four days it has already broken box office records and beaten Star Wars. Lyssa told me how she tried to watch ‘Austin Powers’ on Saturday but 7;30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and our session were totally booked out when they arrived.
Lyssa noted that the line was so long it ran all the way down the stairs and outside where people were waiting in the cold just to see the movie. There we both sat imitating our best parts of the movie as Lyssa also told me that she can’t wait for the ‘Mini Me’ doll to come out if ever there was one.
Smoking And Last Words
Somehow our conversation verged to chat about marijuana in which I asked Lyssa candidly if she was smoking pot just like Naqi and Martin. Lyssa protested her case that she wasn’t as I then remarked “Well you smoke cigarettes and that’s worse.” Lyssa defended her smoking as a true smoker would in which Lyssa stuck to her philosophy that smoking caused her to lose eight kilos since she took it up. I argued how I lost five kilos in the last three months not having had picked up a cigarette but as I always have thought, smoking is the lazy person’s convenience.
There is no base or truth in her philosophy, only ridicule and sneering remarks at her callow remarks. I got Lyssa frustrated to the point that she banged the phone on the ground but that didn’t bother my levels of stress at all, nothing but subdued division. Second later as the time crept to 9:30 p.m. Lyssa ended our conversation by saying it was time to go. “Great, isn’t that always the way”
I griped, “This is always how you end a conversation, you always want to have the last word”. What pissed me off is how Lyssa so haughtily remarked “I always do have the last word” and as agitated as I was I had the decency to at least say “Well, see you later then” before I hung up the phone. The remembrance of our two years was just as I had expected it to be.
Despite Lyssa sticking to her guns that she was inadvertently calling and had no idea that it was our two years I know if she wasn’t thinking it somehow her subconscious made her remember. That flame is now long extinguished and I don’t know why I keep stepping upon the charred ashes because they do nothing but blacken the very path that I tread, creating illusory perception along the way.
Behind In The Diary
Okay now, the time is way past my bedtime at 11:40 p.m. but I feel that this excrescent explanation of my conversation with Lyssa and my Saturday night was well deserved. Still I am two days behind in chronology and from tomorrow I will be three nights into the red but believe me, I will catch up by the end of this month.
However, I am concerned as to this weekend coming up because I will no undoubtedly miss out on one night of proper scripture into these memoirs. Therefore, if I do not come up to date in my diary I will have to carefully consider whether I should head out on Friday or stay home and write avid thoughts of scrutiny in my diary as per usual…

Diary Of A Mad Chaos is a daily diary written from March 1996 until today, of which individual books and book series have been created, namely “The Lost Years” an exploration of young, entwined love, the “Wubao In China (猎艳奇缘)” book series which provides an extensive comparative analysis of the cultural differences between Eastern and Western societies, and the book titled “Foreigner (华人)” an exploration of race relations in Australia.
