Third Day Verdict

Not much time at all to write in my diary because of my involvement in watching the State of Origin but before I have a shower and make my debut for bed I shall recite partial prospects of the day. Speaking straight and directly of my third day at work, it wasn’t as exceptional as the first day, nowhere near as bad as the second but in between both. Rather, my third day was better than expected and to some degree, I won back the respect of Tarni and Fitzroy who is the temp from England.

However, I still am interpersonally inapt where Fitzroy avoids mucking around with me like he does with the everyone else. Instead of not doing his work he’s been putting his worth into tasks around our administration section simply because we’ve fallen behind because of my learning curve and he probably gets scared off by my timidity. Because I’m not very talkative he’d rather get to doing work for us instead of just saying his usual “Piss off and do it yourself” because he can’t be playful with me.

However, as my third day was rather exceptional but not too great I call it a win and I no longer feel upset. Now, those thoughts of quitting work on Thursday have evaded my mind even though those gestures were still ticking curiously close to resolve in my mind. Yep, now I’m going to try and stick out this job until I either lose all my confidence or I get sacked due to lack of ability.

Train Glimpse of Lyssa and Penelope

Firstly, I awoke at 5:45 a.m., had my usual shower, two bananas and then putting on my suit I headed out into the chilly air to catch my bus. From there I headed to Campbelltown Station where I was lucky to just get onto my train heading to the City as I only had a couple of seconds to run down the stairs. Taking my seat on the second carriage I didn’t want to bother Lyssa as I knew she would be on the train with Penelope. Therefore, I just sat downstairs on the second carriage and didn’t do much but enjoy the view and blank expressions as we headed to the City.

When reaching St. James I looked out the window to see if Lyssa would walk past and I did see two bottom halves of what looked like Lyssa and Penelope. From what I could see (I know it was them) one of them slapped the other one playfully on the ass as they had a little giggle and to me it looked like Lyssa’s hand.

I know I’m only joking when I say this but I think Naqi should watch out in the forthcoming years to see that Lyssa and Penelope don’t become Lesbians. I haven’t mentioned this yet but Lyssa told me that when she was at Chevy’s last weekend with Penelope they both got onto each other, the events go as such… Penelope pretended to kiss Lyssa on the dancefloor because some guys were looking at them and because Lyssa was sick of Penelope always doing this she actually kissed her.

There was no tongues involved but Lyssa told me that it was a full-on pash for a couple of seconds. From there Penelope and Lyssa were both disgusted with themselves but I think if a girl can kiss another girl then there is some idiosyncrasy about it. Lyssa used to shun off the idea of her being a Lesbian when Lesbians told her but now I think she’s being a hypocrite to her own actions.

Early Start With the Mail

Arriving at Wynyard Station I headed up to work and grabbing the mail very early I headed up to the office at 8:30 a.m. This was much earlier than I was supposed to be there but I wanted to get the earlier start so I could show them I was eager to exceed in my mistakes of the preceding day. The other lady temp was already there who was around my age so I just said hello to her but she’s just as bad as me when it comes to opening up, very quiet in which I haven’t noticed.

Nevertheless, I started on the mail by myself and was halfway through it when Tarni walked in. Fitzroy was second to come in after his lady temp friend and then it was Tarni on the dot. Just quickly, when the mail was done we started on sorting out photocopied briefs, arranging what had to be thrown out and left in and then, we made them into a nice package. Tarni helped me out as she let me do it all by myself in which I find it best to learn, while she was there guiding me of course.

However, through the day we kept getting more and more people coming to our desk with urgent reports to be handed in and the stress kept building up on Tarni. Therefore, I helped her with one brief and then I got out of her way for a little while in which I sorted out the filing and put some of the folders back.

Mango Yogurt at the Fig Tree

When lunch arrived I stepped out of the office at midday and Tarni stayed back. It felt like Tarni was going to have lunch with the other two and leave me to feel like the loner again but it turned out that Tarni left at 12:30 p.m. to meet up with an old friend and the other two left at 1:00 p.m. For my lunch break I headed into the same eatery in one of the arcades on Pitt Street but this time around I bought myself some yogurt with fresh mango pieces.

This I took with a drink of orange juice to the same fig tree in Hyde Park, sat down and started eating away. The yogurt didn’t taste too pleasing and after a while each gulp made me feel like I wanted to throw up but of course, I never did. The orange juice made it worse as it was nothing but chunks from the orange which made it hard to drink. Nevertheless, I ate my food and then left with enough time to make it back to work at 1:00 p.m.

Urgent Briefs and a Missed Booklet

Near the end of the day Tarni was working on some urgent briefs while I done some urgent photocopying for David. Jana came to my desk and handed me a booklet from HIH in which I was supposed to see her so we could go through it but at the end of the day I was too busy and completely forgot about it until I just reminded myself now.

Tarni received a call minutes before 5:00 p.m. and she left a couple of minutes before that in a rush for the door. Fitzroy and his lady friend headed out minutes later saying goodbye to me and then I made my way out of the door minutes later, taking my time as not to bump into them outside and create a weird moment.

Esme Takes Up State of Origin

To speak of odd events in the day, my Lynx cologne won the hearts of a couple of women at work including Jana who uttered “What man wearing that great smelling cologne” in which Fitzroy cunningly remarked “Tarni is wearing it”. Then there was that blonde whom I thought was trying to either make me feel comfortable at work or she had more desirable plans on her lustful mind. Whence I had sprayed some perfume on she was attracted to Fitzroy’s table for something (Why she comes to us I don’t know).

Minutes earlier she must have heard me talk about the State of Origin to Tarni and I only talked about it because I had heard some guy speak of it on the way to work and I thought it would be a good icebreaker. This blonde (We’ll call her Esme because that’s whom I think it is) must have heard and a minute later she uttered to people across on the other side of our barrier “Who’s watching the State of Origin tonight”.

To me it seemed a bit put on because she didn’t sound like the type to watch Football and I soon found that out as she made her way to Fitzroy’s desk and then we started chatting. Thinking that she came over hoping that I would chat to her I started with my recognition of her topic and from there she just turned towards me and had a conversation. However, because it was early in the morning and I wasn’t very interpersonal and uncomfortable with my confidence I didn’t speak out of my normal tone.

Because of this I sounded nervous when talking and my words didn’t really take on any depth or go anywhere. If I was trying to impress her I certainly didn’t do it but she stuck around for a little conversation and then that was that. Actually, Esme and this other blonde in the office I have taken a favorable communion with in relation to everyone else. I get along with people like Esme who are outgoing and able to talk to me and make me feel comfortable around them.

Pumpkin and a Perfect Tie

Anyway, coming back home I just made the express train home and arrived around 6:10 p.m. Grabbing myself two pieces of pumpkin from a shop up in Queen Street I made my way to the bus stop and again sat next to a wonderful blonde, a little younger. Nevertheless, as usual, this didn’t progress to anything as I jumped on the bus, sat as my silent self and then headed home in the darkness.

Greeted by my form from Centrelink and no calls for the day, I was one day closer to handing in my form next Friday which will ensure me a definite hold on this position. My parents had gone shopping for the day and I was pleased to find that mum bought a heap of bananas as well as a piece of huge pumpkin in which she baked (Whatever it is) and gave me a huge chunk to feast upon.

This is the first time for as long as I can remember that mum has made pumpkin for me. On top of that, with no previous experience and out of sheer luck, my mum tied up the tie that Keith gave to me and I wore yesterday with such accuracy. She’s not even sure how she done it but it is fit perfectly and it’s better than I’ve done thus far.

Bringing down food from upstairs I stuffed myself with the delicacies of the shopping. What I’ve found is that lately I’ve been eating rather healthy because of my working. Two bananas in the morning, yogurt, pumpkin, orange juice, boiled chicken and the list goes on, could this be a respective turnaround. Tonight I also gave Keith a call in which he told me that he was starting work tomorrow at West’s Leagues Club for bar work and in three weeks he’ll be starting as a painter.

Keith Has Plans for Saturday

He was headed to Binh’s house to watch the State of Origin so as I told him about my probable need of Keith to hand in the form on Friday and how I was faring at work we parted voices. However, before leaving Keith told me we were headed to some club on Saturday in which he was going to shout me in so, I’m in for that.

Having watched the State of Origin now and Queensland winning with kicks alone I shall have a quick shower and deem myself for early sleep. I have to say, so far in these three nights I haven’t had a night where I’ve woken up and felt very tired, not even too much of a hint. Seven hours seems to be the norm for my rightful sleeping to get off on a good start in the morning and tonight I won’t do any worse.

The time now is 10:42 p.m. and I’m sorry I can’t write any more in detail about my day but I have to get to sleep. Those are the dilemmas of working and only having a certain number of hours when getting home to write in my diary, enjoy myself and do all other errands. My parting words shall be that I’m not going to quit work, rather, they’ll have to sack me before I go…
