Friends Wearing Thin

Beginning now with the second half and more delinquent of my day, the pursuit of enrichment, same all, same all. My patience like this group of friends is beginning to wear thin and crumble. These so called friends never go out anywhere, never invite me out to different places and make enemies amongst friends to lessen the diminished friendship. Back in the day we used to go out to the City every weekend but now, we can’t even find the time to head out anywhere apart from ‘Subway’ and sometimes not even that.

These acquaintances of mine have fast become boring and I am looking for a back door out but each is closed with different definition. There is the escape route closed that led to Lyssa, Jewell, Phoenix, Naqi, Imad, Ace, Miroslav and everyone else I used to talk to or hang around with that would now fall on ears death. How is it that I, to be, have stuck myself with such acquaintances of ill-repute.

Why was it not that I kept ties open with Miroslav or even created greater impressions with Ace so that I would be heading out to clubs every weekend. How is it that I get pushed out of most conception that involves Binh or Tyler and why is it that I am so desolate to all these different minds. Does it have something to do with who I am, could it possibly be the undermining of my stubborn nature that neglects me a better life, I feel it not to be so.

Maybe partially, but partially, I would like amends for this pitiful life without love, and love copious in amounts to give but never have received. This void, this empty, endless void, make it naught and bring back the life in which blossomed were the flowers of my love.

Playstation With Shawn

Having been home for a little while I decided to call Keith to make plans for the night. However, he was at work and he would be until nigh-midnight so heading out wasn’t part of our plans. As I thought no favorable night was inclining to present itself I began completing 1000 reps on the skipping rope, some pushups and some Ab Crunches. During the middle of this routine I was called by Shawn and of course, routine would have me know he wanted to head over with his Playstation. However, that didn’t bother me as it gave me something to do for the night.

Therefore, I told him I was having a shower and if he arrived before I had finished, to just walk in. Finishing my exercise I had my shower and through the middle of it I was surprised to hear the front door open so soon. Drying myself off when finished I made my way to my room to hear that Shawn got a lift from his mum when he noticed her driving back home. The Playstation had already been set up as he was watching television so without further ado we jumped into Gridiron.

Commencing our night at 5:30 p.m. we played the Playstation until 8:30 p.m. when the Football began. In that time Shawn beat me twice in Gridiron by a small margin, once in Basketball and then I beat him on the buzzer with one point on our last game. Asking Shawn to bring over his modem as well I hooked it up while the game was playing but because this computer is so crabby I had a hard time using it.

A Job Worth Chasing

Firstly, the telephone lines were making their usual scratchy noises and it didn’t allow a clean handshake. Connecting to an online job-searching facility I found what I in a sense have always been looking for. They require a Mac Operator for four days on, four days off. The shifts are all twelve hours, two day shifts and then two night shifts. Basically they are looking for anyone who is interested and who has desire so I will send them a fax of my résumé on Monday, see if I get the job that will pay aplenty.

The modem connection started to piss me off when it kept disconnecting every second minute so I turned off my computer and watched the end of the game. Starting on another game of Basketball we got minutes into it before Keith was on his way to my house. You see, I gave him a call while Shawn was over my house inviting him to come over later. In a way I wanted more company but moreso, it would have been a good lift for Shawn and great sleep for me.

Off to Subway

When Keith did arrive I was cussing at the computer because I kept getting the ball stripped from me unfairly and my nerve got the better of my forcing me to turn off the game. Keith had plans anyway, he wanted us to accompany him to ‘Subway’ where he would meet with Simon to get his money, yeah, funny. Therefore, we left around 11:30 p.m. and I took my playing cards despite the fact that I now loathed even the thought of playing cards at ‘Subway’.

The trip itself was spent talking about Tatton and information about Phoenix. The first thing Keith blurted out was “You might be interested to hear that Phoenix is no longer engaged and she’s already harassing Rory for sex”. This I found funny and detestable as on one hand, Phoenix was back out on the prowl and getting with the one person she told me she truly hates and on the other hand, she’s avoiding my calls and hating me instead.

Lyssa With Some Guy

The thought now of getting with Phoenix was gathering momentum but it was quickly brought into a curious submission when Keith noted that he had seen Lyssa at the movies with a little sister-like girl and a guy. For one, I didn’t want nor need Keith to yield that information as I’m trying my best to forget about her but now, I was forced to be curious as to who that guy would have been.

Keith of course could have been wrong about who he had seen since I don’t know who that little girl could be but when I hear ‘Some Guy’ it brings out the worst thoughts in me. It would have been Thursday that Keith had seen her at the movies and my thought right now is that Lyssa was with some guy she likes that also brought along his little sister. Maybe Hakim, Penelope and her little cousin went along.

Now I can’t help to be curious, a little bit jealous and envious that she could have possibly found a better life before me, which wouldn’t be hard. Now I don’t feel the need to call her and check if she has found herself a boyfriend even though I am curious as to why she was so hateful when we parted and why she hasn’t called me yet. If she did find someone, good for her because I know, deep down, behind the jealousy and spite, I want to see her push on…

Tatton and Simon

Before we found parking at ‘Subway’ Keith also advised me that Tatton wasn’t hanging out with us because he was still trying to get onto that girl in his group of friends from schooling. From what he’s heard from Tatton, she’s beautiful but translated to him it would have been something a lot less desirable. Nevertheless, what pleases the man of many mushrooms shall not please those who find his mushrooms pleasantries for amusing tales.

Simon pulled up around the same time that we did and as we all jumped out of the car we headed for the ‘Subway’ doors. Placing our first steps onto their floor we were told that they now closed down at midnight. A sigh of relief to me but to everyone else, the collapse of an empire based on playing cards. When Keith couldn’t get his money from Simon we followed him to Pizza Hut (By the way he’s got his car working again) and when he couldn’t get us Pizzas we headed home.

A Wasted Night

Keith decided to meet Tamsen at the Catholic Club Car Park however where Jett, Min-Su, Binh and that good looking girl from Tamsen’s party were there. That little circle I too have been offered not a position and rather, I hold my position with the castaways, the derelict infants of notoriety. I am no longer part of the painting but, I am the frame that with its scratches and blemishes promises no vouchsafe to its appearance.

The whole trip to ‘Subway’ and then to meet Tamsen was a whole waste of time. Even with Lyssa when I was only with her, I had a life, I was someone, now I am no one. Just another rupture of bad fortune, where no boon prevails. Last night I got home around 2:00 a.m. and got myself to sleep half an hour later after having a shower. This morning I woke up at 10:00 a.m. which was a fair amount of sleep.

Phoenix Avoids My Calls

There hasn’t been much to chat about this morning except that I have tried to call many people and none of them are home. After having myself a shower I thought to call Phoenix and give her another try but I got the brush by her bumbling half-witted brother. It was blatantly obvious when he walked into her room and came back to the phone mumbling that he was lying for her.

Phoenix usually jumps out of bed from her slumber to chat but this time around she had a late night last night and wanted to keep sleeping. Later on in the day I thought to give her another call (Near 2:00 p.m.) but this time no one was home. I also tried calling Keith and Pari but neither of them were home. Tonight is sure to be another one of those quiet nights and I hope that it doesn’t have to come down to a Playstation night.

Body and Pride

How this body does tone with every coming day. And, if it wasn’t for my lacking of money, this body would be far greater a worth than what worth it has shown with inconsistent funds. Today I will think upon doing some more skipping, some more Ab Crunches and some more pushups to bring out more definition, less fat and a more tone body. Thus far, I am getting that skinny look, small torso and a defined and wide back, I love it. I can even vouch to say that my face is getting skinny.

In fact, just looking at my face in the mirror right now I thought to myself “Fuck, I am right! My face is coming along fine”. If only life granted me money so that favors could cleanse my appearance, shave more fat and define more my facial features. However, just like the most of my life and living, I am the base of what you see and to most, my base is all that is needed to satisfy. When I started going out with Lyssa I didn’t have a car, fancy clothes or anything of possessive value.

She fell in love with who I was, not what I had and that’s why it worked so well. However, as time passed, I did become enlightened about who Lyssa was and along with her money-hungry attitude and my losing who I was to lacking confidence, our relationship began to slide. Oh well, let me get back the pride in my walk and I will walk into another relationship to not only willingly give my worth in coins, but in generosity of love. Now I must be off onto other endeavors so I will to these pages pen when comes the time.
