Too Tired to Go Out
There were no calls during my day but around 2:30 p.m. I heard a clamor on my front door. Looking outside I noticed that it was Keith’s car and as usual, I had to clothe myself from my nude portrayal. Wanting to know if I wanted to come out for the day I had to say no because I favored sleep. The ache in my head was less evident but it was minutely felt and being tired I knew I wouldn’t have had too good a time. Therefore, Shawn and Keith left with my answer and I jumped back into bed for a good sleep.
Keith and Shawn Arrive
Later in the night around 8:00 p.m. I was called on the phone by Keith. “We’re out the front” he said, “and we’re coming in.” Despite my bid to inform him that I was still sleeping he was intent on coming in with Shawn. I figured that my little display with Ralf the night before had them both eager to chat about it. That’s why they were both together for the day and why they were anticipating coming over my house for the night. That must have been a better topic of conversation while they were out for the day.
Waking myself up to open the door I walked them into my room as we then deliberated what to do for the night. Keith had the idea of visiting the cinemas to watch ‘8mm’ which sounded like a fairly digestible idea. However, it was a fair while before the movie commenced so making my way upstairs I grabbed the already prepared food (thanks mum) and headed downstairs to chow down.
Jokes About Ralf
Within this time Keith and Shawn decided to make a couple of jokes about Ralf and his obsessive paper and reciting some of the funnier phrases that night we began a little chat on the subject. There wasn’t much hacking on anyone but rather, a reality check on Ralf’s resiliency of aggravation and my will to be very stubborn.
I’ll admit, I am a stubborn person but as later talks in Subway proved, Keith thought I was more stubborn now than before. Maybe that goes hand in hand with my lacking of confidence that I am more stubborn. Maybe it had something to do with the previous relationship I had and the forbearance upon that intolerable subject that chiseled the stubbornness in me.
Who Answered Tamsen’s Phone
Between our little conversation and my eating, Keith decided to give Tamsen’s mobile phone a call. Sharing the knowledge that he had tried calling her mobile phone earlier in the day, it seemed as if some guy who sounded like Jett was answering. Handing me the phone as he rang one more time, he asked for my opinion on who answered the phone. At first I wasn’t too sure but the second time around when the voice blurted, “I’m watching a movie, gotta go” I gathered it was either Jett or Anders.
Keith kept ringing the phone with relatively the same answer each time and after a couple of rings I suggested that Keith ring Tamsen’s house phone so he could quench his curiosity as to where she might have been. This advice he took up upon and my hunch of her being home was correct. What I didn’t predict was Keith arguing on the phone for the better portion of an hour. To me it brought back harrowing reenactments of when Imad used to use my phone to bitch at Dina or Pippa.
Early in his conversation he told Tamsen to wait for a second as he handed me his phone, pushed the call button and told me to just listen in but not say anything if the phone answered. Realizing that it was Tamsen’s phone when Keith uttered that he heard Tamsen’s phone in the background I knew his struggle for supremacy was going to be a while longer.
Tamsen told Keith that she was going home for the night leaving him with Shawn for most of the day. Now Tamsen was being truthful by being at home but the part where someone else was with her had Keith concerned. None of us thought the worst, we just thought Jett and Min-Su were over her house for some loving but Keith was rather vindictive.
Keith Borrows My Battle Cry
Tamsen started to lie about someone answering her phone and that no one was at her house. From there she started blaming a denying Keith for calling her mobile phone and in all that time I could just picture Jett and Min-Su being quiet as mice. What made me laugh and shake my head was how Keith let out an offensive line that reminded me so much of last night with Ralf. It was as if Keith was trying to mimic my retaliation against Ralf and turn it into an inspired aggression against Tamsen for lying.
He began with “You know what, you’re a lying little selfish bitch,” and to hear that from Keith was very peculiar. His little idiosyncrasies furthered when he partly took on my voicing battle last night to add, “I don’t have to obey you, you don’t tell me what to say or what to do,” sound familiar. Yep, I had to shy my head to the side so he couldn’t see the pitiful grief I had for this shallow learner, he was fighting battles he might as well have learnt from Ricki Lake.
At one stage Keith asked both Shawn and I to step out of the room so he could speak personally with Tamsen but I wasn’t going to get kicked out of my room, call it my growing stubborn nature. Despite Keith’s continual plead I was more interested in hearing what gossip he had to say to Tamsen. Giving him the option of letting us hear what had already been such a spiteful argument or start using his mobile phone. Keith took the second option, which made me believe that he was going to make up with her as well as say those loving words.
This would have made him appear soft to us (or so he gathered) so to keep his pride he picked up his mobile phone, walked into his car and continued his conversation. If anyone was at Tamsen’s house still remains a mystery because the only clues we received about the whole ordeal came later in one sentence. “Women are crazy,” is to my recollection what he uttered as we made our way for the car and out for the night. However, since Keith took so long the time was already 10:30 p.m. and by far, it was too late to head to the movies.
Shawn Takes the Back Seat
Shawn and I had been viewing some of my old tapes of “Mad TV” looking for the phrase, we always say “Gimme some sugar.” Turning off my television and my light I headed out to the car with Shawn. He was the first to get there but what surprised me is the heraldry he showed and the possible respect that came from last night.
Shawn is known as the front seat bandit and if he can get the front seat, he’ll always be there. However, despite being the first to the car while I was putting my shoes on I found him to be already seated in the back seat. If this has anything to do with last night’s debacle with Ralf I’m not sure but it’s looking as if that is the case.
Skipping and Checking the Bank
Before I go any further with the nearing of my night and the end of my chronicling, let me now adjourn to some up to date events. The time right now is 8:15 a.m. and that is all for good reason. Tonight I have been typing at rather expeditious speeds that hold no contingency to vagrant haste. Yet, in these imploding hours of thought and deliberation I have given way to exercise, hunger and curiosity.
The exercise factor had me being motivated in completing 1000 reps on the skipping rope. Within every hundred or so reps I completed a set either of pushups, crunches or lying torso twists. All in all, I created a great cardiovascular workout and with money at hand for the Gym, it is a great starting point. The hunger portion was seen to with a meal or two that still leaves this poetical precocity insatiable.
Curiosity had me ringing up the bank to see if my money had come in from the link yet despite it being a public holiday. To my surprise $165 is waiting to be collected so now my actions are moved a day forward. Now I can pay off Lyssa, my parents, my phone bill and I can plant some money into my Credit Card. The payroll has once again been reached without much hassle, isn’t life a pushover.
Subway Again
Hope had me conceiving the thought that we could head out for the night to a place apart from what we knew but that faith was shattered when we headed to Subway. The thought of heading there again was making my tired of seeing the same old spiteful faces. Despite my grudge to repetitiveness, I was rather insouciant once there.
Funky Walker Dirty Talker
For the next hour until midnight we kept ourselves there where we each had a portion of the King’s position. There was some entertaining conversation between the group but the amusing portion was when we talked about “Mad TV”. There is a segment with a show called ‘Talking Dirty and Walking Funky’ hosted by this black comedian.
The skit involves him walking funky into his scene, sitting down and then talking funky. Things like “Baby, I wanna put my chocolate in your peanut butter” or “Babe, I wanna take my keycard and stick it all the way into your ATM Machine.” Anyway, to explain where this is all headed, Shawn suggested placing ‘Funky Walker, Dirty Talker’ on the back of a car windscreen and I cracked up thinking I will one day do just that.
Leaving Subway at midnight, we headed out for a cruise towards the cinemas at Macarthur Square. The super sessions would have started by then but as we arrived Keith had a change of heart on our options. Thus, making our way back out of the complex knowing that we weren’t watching a movie and had no plans at hand I gathered it was home time soon. On top of that, Keith wanted to watch the cricket on ‘Foxtel’ so I knew it was home time soon.
Racing a Commodore
Pulling up next to a 90’s style Commodore at the front of the cinema complex that looked like it had some punch we weren’t surprised to see it scoot off when the lights turned green. Keith was rather submissive in his driving off but as Shawn and I were spurring him on he decided to take action on the next set of lights.
Keith let the Commodore take off first and when it started to speed up Keith put his foot down and without too much of a struggle we were in front of the Commodore, spurting out that turbo air when he changed gears. The Commodore was beaten without too much effort on his behalf but as he lined up next to us on the next set of lights we didn’t see such a brave-hearted attempt to rid us.
When we were headed up Queen Street he decided to take Keith over but we weren’t fazed and headed in another direction, the battle had been won. That last bit of action was the finale to our night as Keith dropped Shawn off first and me shortly after. Since then I have obviously relaxed for a short while only to begin with my diary entry. This by far has been the largest entry to my knowledge of this month, over fifteen pages. However, if I were to change the format, it could be more or less…

Diary Of A Mad Chaos is a daily diary written from March 1996 until today, of which individual books and book series have been created, namely “The Lost Years” an exploration of young, entwined love, the “Wubao In China (猎艳奇缘)” book series which provides an extensive comparative analysis of the cultural differences between Eastern and Western societies, and the book titled “Foreigner (华人)” an exploration of race relations in Australia.
