Skipping Away a Triple Negative
False hope has been adorning my last entry as I wrote some loose poetry here and there but really, I’m feeling just as blocked now. These passing days of recent have given me no inspiration to get onto my computer and write. Instead, tonight I tried to occupy myself other than the computer because my heart wasn’t in it.
Therefore, about fifteen minutes ago I done 1000 reps on the skipping rope and two hours before that I had done another 1000 reps. This also comes with my not having followed up with my skipping routine over the past few days (Probably because of my triple negative cycle) but I’m getting back on it now. This triple negative has really hit me if Biorhythms truly have credibility.
That would explain my missing out on some skipping, more cracking bones than usual, my not carrying on much of a relationship with Lyssa and my lack of enthusiasm for poetry. Please don’t let this month slow down in poetry like my link funds soon will. If I stand to lose my money and maybe even my going to the Gym, let me go out with some dignity, let me still have my blissful poetry.
Golf and Cricket on the PlayStation
Before I begin on the meager comments that I have to make of today’s chronology let me get to the meager comments of Thursday night. Picking up our story as I left around 8:00 p.m. I was picked up by Shawn and Tatton where we headed to Keith’s house. Once there we walked into his room to find him sitting and playing ‘Warne Cricket’ for the Play Station, the one he lent off Ace.
That’s so funny how I used to rev him up about that game back a couple of months ago (Last time Noah was here) knowing he wanted people to buy it so he could play it and now here he was with a rented copy. The game didn’t look too interesting and I gathered the commercials were too much hype.
However, after I had a read through a ‘Fast Fours and Rotaries’ book Shawn, Keith and I competed against each other on ‘Tiger Woods’ golf. Figures doesn’t it, the armchair athlete was renting the most boring games in the entertainment industry of sports, golf and cricket.
Footy Show Gossip
Despite this sham of sports games we competed against each other hole for hole and I learnt fairly quick. Despite my being seven over and them being one or two over I was having a fairly good first game.
When ‘The Footy Show’ came on all of us were interested to watch it. That is, all of us except for Tatton who had left with his car while we were playing the golf game because he had to get home early for TAFE.
Keith and Shawn joked about how he was going home to talk to Phoenix on the phone and I couldn’t believe that he still talked to her daily. They then went on to say later in the night that Tatton and Phoenix hate each other’s guts and they get into squabbles on the phone but Keith’s answer for that was “She likes him, she just doesn’t know it yet”. Trying to swallow that hard piece of language I just couldn’t see it his way, Phoenix liking Tatton for himself, that’s a joke.
Off to Subway Again
After watching ‘The Footy Show’ and after Keith and Shawn both joked about how I should enter the ‘Send your poem in on video’ competition we headed to Keith’s car. Just starting to sprinkle outside I was wandering where we were going but as Keith wanted to stop at my house first to get the cards I knew that the only place we were headed was ‘Subway’.
However, once at my house I quickly had a piece of chicken from upstairs, asked mum for a dollar in change and then I was back out with the cars as we headed to ‘Subway’. Just being me, Keith and Shawn it seems to be our usual grouping these days, at least in that system of acquaintances.
Once at ‘Subway’ the guy with the glasses who looks like Drew Carey and is an avid Gridiron fan (Yeah that one) was seen. Taking any available table we all sat down but before playing cards Keith and Shawn bought themselves a Foot Long and I had myself some chips.
While playing our game of ‘Asshole’ Keith got another large chips pretty much for free, we all ate away at our newfound freedom. The game of ‘Asshole’ was as usual with me having a slow start but Shawn having a slower one. In the end, Keith won by ten points where I was coming second or equal with Shawn. Conversation while playing our games was about Tatton and how he talks with Phoenix mainly because Keith felt he was pranked earlier that night by Phoenix.
Weekend Plans Falling Flat
Shawn also noted that he was headed to Queensland for the weekend starting from Friday morning because there was a death in the family. Keith suggested that I borrow the Play Station from him and Shawn asked if I wanted to borrow it when he was getting out of the car to head home but I didn’t want it.
For one thing, Shawn only had one game and it was the one I don’t really like and if I were to borrow it then there would be too much hassle to borrow games of Jett, if he would have even be around to lend them to me. That meant our planning for the weekend would be bleak because Ralf hadn’t called me for Thursday night.
Tonight I didn’t go out even though I was invited by Ralf to head up and see his brother but that’s just as fun as inviting him back with me to visit Rochelle again. Jett was out with Min-Su and her parents at Penrith Panthers so I gathered that the parents now knew due to Min-Su’s parents reading her mail a week or two back.
Sleep and a Mediocre Sonnet
Our game of cards ended around 2:00 a.m. in the morning and cruising past Queen Street and then dropping Shawn off it was time for me to head home. The remainder of my night had just seen me watching television and then in the later hours of the morning I finally started writing in my Diary.
My getting to sleep around 6:00 a.m. didn’t work because I woke up soon later with some poetical ideas in my thought and with them I did capitalize. However, the Sonnet I feel was nothing close to my perfection so I will not consider it much of a celebration in the likes of poetry. Then again, I’m writing for something I don’t normally write about which is Football and because of that, my inspiration had become wreathed with other thoughts.
Fighting Off Sleep
Beginning with today, I had the chance to wake up at 2:00 p.m. and I did that but trying to stay awake was the problem. My eyes were with blurry vision and half asleep, I walked to the toilet and then outside hoping that a sneeze and some warm sun would wake me up. That didn’t work as I hardly kept my eyes open outside but the tired state within me couldn’t turn a sneeze into staying awake.
So, getting back to sleep I woke up at 3:30 p.m. and with that I just relaxed upstairs, downstairs, outside, you name it. This month has seen a fair bit of relaxing and I think I’m lapping up these days of no work as good as I can but it would be better if I woke up earlier and traveled more places in my freedom.
When the time arrived to 5:30 p.m. and I had gained enough momentum to head to the Gym, I done just that. On the way down it started to sprinkle but that’s not going to effect what I write now…
Back Day Begins
Back: Starting with my two minute warm-up on the bikes I was confronted straight away by Jaromir. That doesn’t really bother me that he feels that he always has to come over and then stand around but it’s his talking slow and dumb and being lost for intelligent speech that amazes me. Anyway, after my three warm-up sets for the back I began my first real set.
Beginning with my usual Neutral Grip Lat Pulldowns I found 160 pounds fairly moderate a weight to pull down 12 times, easier than usual. Moving now to Close Grip Lat Pulldowns with 160 pounds I pulled out another 12 reps, not bad. Third was Reverse Grip Lat Pulldowns and with 170 pounds I didn’t stress too hard to bring out 10 reps. Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns to the front was next and taking it all the way down to 120 pounds I could only manage 10 reps relying on a rowing motion more often than not.
Hammering out 15 reps on the Lat Pulldowns Machine I began the punishing of my back broadening. Starting with Seated Cable Rows and 160 pounds I created 12 reps, not too hard. Moving to One Arm Cable Rows I put the weight up to 90 pounds and managed to pull out 12 reps per hand. Moving now to One Arum Dumbbell Rows and sweating profusely I pulled two sets of 12 reps, both with 80 pounds. Changing from one hand to the other called for a sweaty downfall from me, drops falling to the ground on every opportunity.
Triceps and Abs
Triceps: Arising to the occasion, I felt relieved when I had come to this body part but I did give it some thrashing. Beginning with Triceps Pushdowns and 85 pounds I managed 12 reps from the set. Taking myself to One Arm Triceps Cable Kickbacks and with 40 pounds I pulled down 12 reps, not too much hassle. Not being able to apply myself to the machine I wanted I moved to Overhead Dumbbell Extensions and with 70 pounds completed 10 reps by myself. Lastly, moving back to Triceps Pushdowns I completed a set of 12 reps with 75 pounds.
Abdominals: Being the last on the list for my body and wrapping it up in an hour I completed three sets of Machine Ab Crunches. With the weight constantly on 60 pounds and the seat set high I pushed out 30 reps per set, no hassles.
