A Road Rules Debate
While with Keith Ralf and I tried to unload our road rules argument with Keith seeing if he could decide who was right. Not sure how the argument of road rules started but it was based on giving way on a two lane road. Basically, I was arguing that if there were two lanes of traffic heading one way and one person put their blinker on to get into the other lane he would have to give way to the cars already on that lane.
Ralf thought that the cars in the lane that the other car wanted to turn into had to either slow down or speed up to let him in regardless of anything. Ralf seemed to believe that it was unlawful to let them through and they were obligated to let him in but I believe that the cars already in the lane of scrutiny had no obligation. I believe that the cars had the option of letting in the other car but they didn’t have an obligation or liability to let him in.
Sure it’s polite to let someone in a lane when they are trying to get over but those people can be arrogant and not break the law. Ralf also noted that cars that wanted to join traffic from another lane that was ending had priority of lane over the cars that were already on it. Keith didn’t know where to go with this one and he didn’t know what was right or wrong in his mind but I think he was just playing it safe because he didn’t want to irritate either me or Ralf.
Braveheart Before Lyssa
From Keith’s work Ralf dropped me off at my house just in time for the conclusion of Braveheart and he tried to persuade me to come out to some Catholic Clubs that he wanted to check out but I wasn’t interested. As soon as I walked in the doors I gave Lyssa’s house a call to see if she still wanted to come over but I expected what I received and that was no one at home.
Feeling somewhat empty now because my newly made thoughts didn’t go to as planned I sat watching Braveheart hoping that Lyssa would give me a call later in the night. After an hour of watching Braveheart I finally received a call from Lyssa but because I was so interested in the movie I called her back in the commercial break. Already sure of myself when we talked I asked her if she still wanted to come over and as I learnt she was home alone and she did want to come over I told her she would have to wait until Braveheart was finished.
Also, I was waiting for Ralf and Jett to come over my house because Jett was supposedly going to go out with them and head out to the nightclub so he was going to borrow my jeans once again. That never ended up happening as I called Ralf up and he told me that Jett headed out to see Min-Su.
Poetry Interrupted
When Braveheart finished I made plans for Lyssa to come twenty minutes after that because I had some thoughts of poetry in my mind that I wanted to jot down. The poetical thoughts in my mind were spurred on by Braveheart, a movie which I went to see at Greater Union. Back then I thought this was a great movie and for Saturday night the tears were flowing for the sadder moments, the moments where he was being tortured.
These emotions that came with watching the movie spurred me on to write two or three lines of poetry that had an aspect of the movie about it. Despite my writing out my Sonnet and having a mental vibe I knew Lyssa was coming over and when she did my poem was a halfway through being completed.
As much as it killed me to stop my work I knew that if I left it too long my vibe won’t come back to me. In a way I resented inviting Lyssa over so early as I could see a fine poem slipping through my finger’s as a result but, there was eventually a happy ending to this night where Lyssa attended my fortunate night.
Lyssa and the Long Skirt
Lyssa ended up showing her face at my house around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday night. Opening the door for her I noticed that she wore her new gray skirt that went to her knees and even though I thought she looked attractive in this skirt just past her knees I think it’s not her style. People as beautiful as Lyssa should with their bodies be an exhibitionist rather than the opposite.
Because Lyssa is so good looking in short skirts or pants wearing a longer skirt doesn’t suit her and thus it would place a blanket over our perception of her beauty. When Lyssa puts on a long skirt it just looks somewhat awkward on her and that draws borderline attention to her, different attention than she would get if she were wearing a short skirt or pants.
Photos From Ettamogah
Besides the story of Lyssa’s skirt, we made our way to my room and almost instantly Lyssa brought out the photos of the night she was at Ettamogah pub. While flicking through them and remembering I was there that night and I chatted to Lyssa I noticed the girl who I thought was very pretty that night in Lyssa’s photos. Her name was Marlene as I tend to forget and she was part of the big group in the pictures for the night.
There were about a dozen people sitting with Lyssa including, DJ, Kieran, Penelope, Nikita, Constantine, Rhiannon, Nadia, the black girl and her boyfriend Stan (Sorry I can’t remember your name, it’s on the tip of my tongue) Marlene and the friend she was with when having a smoke. Marlene looked fairly attractive in one of the group photos and as I informed Lyssa that Marlene was attractive to me she didn’t have any objections to what I had said. The photos of Ali’s birthday night where they slept at Penrith were still in there and as I flicked through them Lyssa informed me that Marlene was also in them.
Pointing her out as she was clearly in most pictures I couldn’t believe how different she looked without make-up. Lyssa to me would look pretty much the same without makeup as would Penelope or anyone else but Marlene completely changed. It’s not a bad thing as I found her attractive without makeup but the difference was astounding. Lyssa then forwarded me to a picture I had seen before where Marlene was showing a lot of boob accidentally in one of the photos because of the camera angle.
Resenting Ali and Imad
What I also realized while looking through these pictures was that I showed more resentment to Ali than I did of Penelope’s photos. Ali to me was just fake all over with his appearance in photo’s and I loathed to look at them. However, Penelope’s photo’s I didn’t turn around as quickly as I did with Ali’s but I don’t see her as anything more than a big mouth.
To say something decent about Penelope, she was wearing a nice white skirt in one of the pictures where she was posing on a chair and the split in the skirt was provoking but I know what Penelope is and I know what she looks like. Speaking on the Lebanese factor I also realized that Imad has been hanging out with Stan more often these days, Ali’s new best friend.
He spends most of his days over Stan’s house smoking pot and he can’t take one day out of his schedule to come speak with his former best friend. To be honest, I resent Imad as well and if he was to show up at my house I wouldn’t treat him the same. In a way, Imad has betrayed me by befriending Stan with Ali and not paying any respects to me.
Basically, Imad has shown his respects to Ali and Stan but as I said, when it comes to me he’s nowhere to be found. Imad lives ten minutes away from my house and he keeps telling me he’s going to come over one day soon but he never does. Imad always spins his bullshit about how he’s working and he never has any time but seeming he had time for Phoenix and now he has time to visit Stan to get high every day, I would think he had time.
Obsolete would be the best way to explain the discolored relationship between Imad and I as a result from the fiasco between Ali and I. There will never come a day when Imad and I will once again be a united factor, I know that now as that verge that places us together will never again be accepted by me, that verge being Ali.
Lyssa Reads the Poems
Completing my mind’s journey that with my heart’s different emotions did view upon those photo’s, I put them down and watched Lyssa pick up the poetry I printed out. Lyssa had been eyeing these for a while and picking up the large amount of pages I had printed Lyssa proclaimed “You could write a book out of this, you have so many poems here”. Lyssa then went on to complement me by saying “I tell everyone you’re the greatest poet you know” and other benefiting factors that made me feel better about my depths into poetry.
Lyssa liked and appreciated my poetry and as we read through them she read some of them and then had me explain what some of the lines meant briefly. Once the poem made sense to Lyssa she appreciated it all the more and to my favor, when Lyssa came up to a Sonnet with Jewell’s name in it she read it favorably and not with a loathing eye. Another benefiting factor was that Lyssa didn’t ask any questions about the lost years except for what that title meant.
Informing Lyssa that it had nothing to do with her (Which is true as the lost years to date have not involved Lyssa) she uttered that they should have included her, she was moaning but in a facetious way. The poem that I wrote for Lyssa but never sent to her for Christmas was also revealed as I read it and deciphered the meaning for Lyssa. Behind that I advised Lyssa on what I was thinking of doing that involved the poem but seeming that never did happen I never did get to send the letter.
