A Surprise At The Door
Walking up to Lyssa’s front steps I minded not to tread on the loose step. Knocking on Lyssa’s door she walked up and as she asked who was at her door I just knocked again. Opening the door Lyssa had no make up on and didn’t look at her best but what do you expect after two hours of sleep, a surprise and a wild night out.
Somewhat surprised she said “I didn’t know you were coming over, if I did I could have put some make up on.” Lyssa headed back to the kitchen where she was on the phone to someone so with my tape I walked to the lounge room to wait for Lyssa and not to bother her. Later I found out that Lyssa was on the phone to Nikita but that was much later.
Ignored In The Lounge Room
Seconds turned into minutes as Lyssa continued her conversation on the phone and I remember thinking that I didn’t come over to Lyssa’s house surprising her and expecting to spend some time with her just so she could talk on the phone and basically ignore me. That was uncalled for even though Lyssa later told me that she was trying to get off the phone from Nikita as quickly as she could but she just seemed to keep her on the phone.
Unwanted Company Arrives
Seeing a car whiz past out the front I noticed that it was Kieran’s car and gathered that Lyssa invited some company over because she thought I wasn’t coming. That didn’t bother me because I did surprise Lyssa but it did piss me off knowing that I was going to have to put on an act in liking Milton while he was over with Kieran.
Kieran himself doesn’t bother me as much but he still gets to me because I know he liked Lyssa at one stage and his good boy attitude gets to me sometimes. Walking to Lyssa while she was still on the phone I whispered that Kieran and Milton were out the front but I don’t think she heard me. Answering the door myself I invited them in and as they walked to the kitchen where Lyssa was she jumped off the phone.
That pissed me off while I was sitting in the lounge room not wanting to go out of my way to be around Milton or Kieran. The fact that Lyssa hung up the phone for Kieran and Milton pissed me off but later I found out that this wasn’t the case, Lyssa was trying all that time to hang up and her golden moment was when she was interrupted by the both of them.
Ricki Lake And Roast
Cooking some roast for herself and me (That was her persuading words for me to come over) and with her mum out at the Risk’s house having a party for one of their birthdays we had the house to ourselves. Sitting in the lounge room Milton asked Lyssa if he could jump into Lyssa’s pool as it was a hot day and as she agreed the rest of us took a seat each in the lounge room.
As Kieran chatted away I turned on the Ricki Lake tape for Lyssa and as Milton also came in with a towel around him he sat on the floor. Through the show Lyssa kept jumping up to check the roast to see if it was prepared and for half the time she didn’t get to see the tape. That gave Kieran an opportunity to chat away as me and Milton listened, fun. He commented on his trip back home with DJ and the underwear thing as if it was huge for him.
When Ricki Lake was over Kieran and Milton decided it was time to head home and as they walked to the kitchen I thought they were going to pull another sit around with Lyssa. After a minute it looked evident and I thought that Lyssa could at least bring them back into the lounge room where I was all alone but they ended up heading home soon after and that calmed me.
A Sour Dinner Table
I was going to have a go at Lyssa for talking on the phone until Kieran came but I didn’t want to start trouble and kept it to myself until the time was right. Having prepared the roast with some potatoes she put the two plates on the table and grabbing myself the Sunday paper that was lying on the table along with the rest of the mess I started reading the first couple of pages. I was intrigued by the first article but Lyssa decided to question my reading at the dinner table so I put away the paper.
Still in an angered state Lyssa asked if I could clear the table and as Lyssa said that I realized she was only trying to start trouble. Lyssa was making the roast for her mum but as she complained about the heat of the thing as she was preparing the food it felt as if Lyssa was complaining at me for not helping her out or at least being sympathetic. Lyssa was taking pot shots at me and for Lyssa to ask me to clear the table when she could have done it herself (Considering I also came over by surprise and done all that for her) just shows.
Storming Out The Back
“If you don’t want to do it don’t” Lyssa snapped and as she kept snarling at me I replied “Look, I didn’t come here to get yelled at.” Some more heated words came from Lyssa’s mouth and as she said “Well, you’re upset now, aren’t you going to get up and go home.” Those words pissed me off and with the food freshly staring me in the face I brushed it aside. Standing up in a clear swoop I said “Fuck you, I hate you” just under my breath and walked out the back door.
As I continued up the stretch I didn’t want Lyssa to start screaming out for me to come back but that’s exactly what she did. That pissed me off but as soon as I was out of sight I was clear. The last thing Lyssa screamed out was “Just let me tell you the important thing I had to tell you” Lyssa asked and with no response all I could hear Lyssa say as I turned the corner was “Fuck” and that was it.
Waiting To Be Followed
Hoping that Lyssa would come and follow me so she could get me back to her house my hopes started fading as I was halfway down the street. That pissed me off because when Lyssa would storm out of my house on occasions I would be obliged to follow her and calm her down. There was a time where I walked all the way to Campbelltown following a distraught Lyssa without her even knowing and then cutting her off to have a chat with her.
Meeting Tobias
As these thoughts were on my mind I looked back but was disappointed to only see a guy with a red hat. As I made my way closer to the station the guy started walking past me and looking back he said “How you going Tony.” Wondering who the hell it was I figured out it was Tobias who also went to Ali’s birthday party the night before. As the two of us got talking we talked about the arm wrestling at Penrith Panther’s.
Earlier in the day Lyssa also told me something that kept in my mind while we were talking but I said nothing much of it. Lyssa informed me that Tobias wanted to give someone a drinking contest to see who could drink the most and when Lyssa stepped up to take the challenge he said “No way, I heard about you, you drunkard, I don’t want to get beaten by a girl.” Lyssa told him that she would drink him under the table and probably felt flattered about his backing away.
