The Death Count
The news has a road death count and in war you would tally the same so why not have a count of my own, cockroach death count. Last night while I was visiting the toilet I had seen another one of those critters half the age of a fully grown one. Thinking this must be one of the siblings and one of the last in the bathroom I quickly chased him around with an empty toilet roll trying to capture him inside of it.
Cockroaches are very fast critters but they are dumb and as he was trying to get away I belted him into the corner and made him dizzy methinks. Scooping him up I done my usual deal of placing him in the toilet and to feel more like a conqueror I urinated over him.
Fifteen minutes later I headed to the toilet once more and to my surprise another cockroach was dwelling on the wall. Angry that there was another and knowing they would never leave me alone I was hoping to capture two in one day because I’ve never done that before, it would be some sort of a record. Well my attempt failed as he hid under the washing machine and my countless attempts to spray him out with some deodorant failed. It would have worked well if I lit it up into a flame but I didn’t have a match.
Leaving him alone I let him do his business in the dark for a couple of minutes and having to visit the toilet once more I was granted the honor of seeing him again, wary upon the floor. This time I was more successful in scooping him up and he too did I flush making it a record. It’s good when you can have fun with these critters, it makes your day.
A Busier Day Than Usual
Today had a bit more activity than usual when it comes to me going places and seeing people. But firstly, let me note that this morning and early afternoon the phones started ringing for my dad’s add in the paper. They started at 8:45 a.m. but luckily for me after that solitary phone call I didn’t hear the chime for a couple of hours.
Mum and dad sold the Gym set and the telescope but today the guy came to pick up the Gym set. He reminded me of Imad back in the school days, tall, potential but you could see the geek in him. Just like Imad and I back in the days he had seen the home Gym as the way to take it to the next level.
Job Hunting By Phone
After all the phone calls for my dad I woke up around 2:15 p.m. and after having something to eat I made some employment orientated phone calls. At first I rang the main offices of IBM in the City and upon asking around and realizing that the main lady for the employment section was still on holidays for an extra week I knew when to call back.
After visiting Campbelltown to pay off part of my phone bill I had noticed a large GIO customer service center near Mobil so when coming back home I thought to give that a go too. I can’t remember what the situation was there but I think I called at a late hour and one of the ladies were going to call me tomorrow morning.
Trip To Campbelltown
When the time came to 3:00 p.m. Lyssa gave me a call from work and as she was busy with phone calls we just chatted. I told Lyssa I was busy as I had just got off the phone with IBM and I was headed to Campbelltown and since she was also busy we both said goodbye. Heading to Campbelltown the weather was fairly warm but not overdone.
While in Campbelltown I paid off my bill and then headed up to Centrelink for the first time in a long time looking for positions. Sadly there was nothing there that I really wanted so I guess I have to join a few agencies and the next couple of weeks will be my time to do so. Lyssa was supposed to buy me ‘The City Weekly’ which had information about temping agencies and what types of jobs they cater for but she completely forgot about it.
To make up for it Lyssa is going to get it for me next Thursday, it is a weekly publication. On the way home Jett noticed me and picked me up. He was headed to Thirroul beach with Dennis but because it was a bit late I thought not to go. For a while I was toying with the idea because I had nothing else to do but upon getting home it was too late.
Where Is Everyone
When back at home I watched some television for a while and made those all important employment phone calls but after a while I started to get bored. For that reason I gave Keith and Imad a call to see what they were doing. Both of them were at work and both of them didn’t seem to have much time to talk. Imad told me he was very busy straight away but he had enough time to inform me that his number was changing for his mobile phone.
Keith on the other hand informed me after I asked that he was headed up to Macarthur Square with Noah. Surprised that Noah was still down here I found out he was leaving for the navy on my birthday at 9:30 p.m. Keith told me he would ring me back later with some plans of the night but he hasn’t done that. What’s going on with all this dogging lately and where is everyone.
Dreams I Remember
Oh yeah, before I go on with the rest of this Diary let me just note that I am still remembering my dreams in the mornings. The first one that I care to explain was just of me wanting to place my computer upstairs right next to the television but I was indecisive as I knew I also needed it downstairs.
I’m not sure exactly why I wanted the computer up there but I remember that there were about four other older computers on the kitchen table all in working order but mum or dad got rid of them, I think they sold them. This dream could be saying “I see you’re selling Eric’s things but I would never let anyone touch my computer, it is very important.”
A Dream About Tamsen
The second dream but less vivid than the first and more eerie is the fact that I had a dream of getting it on with Tamsen. Now that I think about it there is something about Tamsen, let me note that this figment of my mind is only minute and only there because I had to think about it. The dream was about Tamsen and I being somewhere and acting as we normally do but then Tamsen started laying some words on me that were normal but we both knew they had some hidden meaning.
From what I remember we started holding each other loosely and I ca distinctly remember that the eye contact was always there and she had a beautiful white in her eyes. Tamsen and I were debating on whether we should go through with it because she had Keith and I still was connected to Lyssa but in the end we both decided we should go ahead with it and never tell anyone.
Getting onto Tamsen and laying her down under me with her jeans and white shirt on did feel good in my dream but that’s what dreams normally do and did do in this circumstance, they made more of a stimuli for the mind’s senses. There is a side of Tamsen that I would care to explore but that caring will only be done in my dream and now that I’ve had it that’s enough dreaming of her.
