Awake and Unemployed

Somebody give me night shift, give me graveyard shift as I of Nocturne shall reap the most rewards. With all these nights that I stay up late I am inevitably destined for late night work. Sadly I am still without work this month and have not had much dedication or enthusiasm to look for some work. I guess it’s going to take me until I’m kicked off Government pay until I realize that this money is only supposed to be temporary when I should have found a job ages ago.

The reason I stopped looking for jobs so intently was for the reason that I was insulted by so many rejections of work to my name. Either because I had long hair or I was a singular male in a woman’s force of work. Whichever it was I felt I was being discriminated and the job I lost at Australian Hotels Association at the start of this year was it for me.

Daytime TV Gives Advice

Today I was watching either Oprah Winfrey or Ricki Lake and I remember that the show was compelling as it had people in America that have been on Government Pay for ages. The expert came on and kept saying that receiving that payment was only supposed to be temporary so those people could be helped out in getting a job but like me they saw that money as easy money.

The first thing these people had to realize was that they had to admit to themselves that they have been taking advantage of this money and they had to start looking at Government Pay as a form of embarrassment rather than a commodity. Once this was done people could have enough confidence and skill to get back out in the work force but my problem is that this money has been such a commodity for such a long time that I don’t have enough confidence to find another job.

That’s what I say and I know that my year of being off work will have me facing ample rejections in my pursuit but I have to get off my ass and start working before this year ends. This Franklins Warehouse at Ingleburn that gives you jobs packing boxes for large amounts of money per hour sounds great to me, the hard part is getting the job.

A Backwards Sleep Clock

If you think today is just another normal night literature for me your pretty much wrong. Now I will tell you that last night I didn’t get to sleep and kept myself up for most of the day but eventually I did go to sleep. Now I will ask you when you think I woke up and when you think I’m going to get back to sleep. Well, as it happens, I went to sleep around 3:00 p.m. today and didn’t wake up until a couple of minutes after midnight.

That’s pretty much the first time I’ve ever woken up around that time of the night and now I am destined to stay awake for the remainder of this morning right until tomorrow night where I can hopefully get to sleep at a same time, around 11:00 p.m. Within a couple of hours I’m hoping to head for Campbelltown to place my Credit Card money in the bank and look for work at Centrelink, I know I will do it.

Shopping for Smooth Legs

When the sun came up this morning and after watching Aerobics Oz Style on television I had myself a shower, something to eat and then made my way to Bradbury shops. While there I took out my money and bought the necessities planned. Shavers, Leg Waxing Cream, Moisturizer and a bottle of drink for the day.

Upon coming back home I asked myself “What am I going to do for the remainder of the day to keep myself from sleeping”. My plan was to stay awake until around 10:00 p.m. and then get to sleep but obviously that fell through. The thought boggled the mind for a little but then I thought that I should wax my legs for the first time in the life.

Cotton Strips and War Cries

Opening the leg waxing box I picked out the artless instructions and read carefully upon what I had to accomplish. Remembering that Imad tried waxing once I also recall that he stopped midway through waxing parts of his leg because the pain was overbearing and regularly I am told of the pains in waxing your legs. With this insight into the art of waxing legs I boiled me some water and placed the bottle in it so the wax would melt for an easy application. The first sweep was placed in a downward action on my right shin and towards my ankle.

Placing the cotton strips onto the waxed part of my leg I knew that it was going to be fairly painful so I tapped the cotton material firmly down. Breathing heavier I could image my pulse was increasing with the inevitable fate that was lying in a matter of seconds. Breathing in and out heavily I counted in my head to three and going through the count in motions with the hand that held the cotton strips I jerked that sucker off as fast as I could.

Shrieking at the instance I began peeling off the cotton, wax and leg hairs beneath it all I would have sounded as if I was yelling out a war cry to neighboring Indians. That cry of pain helped me deal with the stress of pulling the cotton strip off and let me tell you, I was still in pain when the strip was off. Looking at my skin I noticed I had done a good job but I knew that I had much more of my legs to go and was dreading it.

For the next half an hour I slowly continued on the bottoms of my legs but became pissed off when I knew 10 cotton strips were not nearly enough to finish off my legs. I was up to my knees when I stopped waxing one leg and started on the second knowing that I wouldn’t get enough strips to finish the legs.

Luckily they were washable cotton strips so after I done the bottom half of my two legs with success I washed the strips in water. Collecting al the hair I carried one handful and a bit to the bin outside. That was a fair bit of hair for the bottoms of my legs, imagine what my whole legs would have given out. This definitely kept me awake and more or less kept my eyes from closing in the next couple of hours.
