Red laser beams crossing a dark room

Red Beams and a Harbour Night (Part 3) – Mad Chaos: October 5, 1998

Could I be confused, am I still holding myself subject to the stage of ‘Recognition’. Maybe I haven’t stepped up to my new era yet, maybe I wish I did but all I know now is that I’m having slight withdrawal symptoms. Jett came over my house while I was writing in my diary and after a short conversation and him telling me that Min-Su and him are legitimate he gave her a call. Now it’s not a bother when Jett calls Min-Su because he’s going out with her and it’s perfectly all right. In the time Jett was speaking with Min-Su I had my withdrawal symptoms as I started remembering the times I had with Lyssa and what made us being together so special. Without drawing attention I started to listen to the songs that I sent to Lyssa and wondered if she still felt something listening to these songs I have engraved in her heart. But I am being confused with my emotions I admit because for the last two days I have slightly thought about Jewell and I am starting to miss parts of our conversations and good times.

Jett talked on the phone for about two hours and in that time we played poker for some fun. While speaking with Min-Su my call waiting came on and handing the phone to me I found it to be Lyssa. Lyssa sounded a little bored and she sounded like she was reading upon old letters of mine, sad and remorseful. Advising Lyssa that I would call back she told me there was no hurry if Jett wanted to speak on the phone. Jett kept on the phone until 5:30 p.m. and an interesting part of the conversation was when we started reading out horoscopes. Handing the phone to me Min-Su read out a detailed script of what Capricorn’s are like and I found that I am best suited for what I always thought would be my perfect star sign, Pisces. Then there was Cancer, Capricorn, Taurus and another sign I can’t recall. What I also found out is that when it comes to relationships I think Aries is childish and coming from Jewell being Aries, that makes a lot of sense. Min-Su is probably going to let me borrow that book so I can read up on it. Jett is going over to Min-Su’s house at 6:30 p.m. today. It seems that every day apart that they have now is a long endeavor of love taken away. It’s kind of funny, before they were friends and didn’t mind seeing each other every week but now that a kiss or two have been involved, daily progress is evident.

Jett and I made plans for this Saturday going to the beach and upon leaving I gave Lyssa a call back. The time was almost 6:00 p.m. and Lyssa picked up almost instantly. Lyssa told me she was going to the Catholic Club to play snooker. Yesterday when Lyssa went to the snooker club she told me that her and Penelope beat the guys in three games straight. Lyssa was impressed that she was hitting all the balls in the holes; she thinks she has vastly improved. So, with Kieran and Milton over her house she was going to the Catholic Club for a game of pool. Lyssa invited me down but I knew that I wouldn’t really be an ally there but seen as a distinct enemy and a taker up of space.

Lyssa told me how most of her friends broke up with their boyfriends after Lyssa and I broke up. Like Aria, Kiley, Milton and Nikita to name a few, it was a trend. Remarking that it was now the summer of love Lyssa responded with “Yeah, and I’m going to find it.” Last night I was thinking to myself about Lyssa and the possibility of her going out with Hakim. Lyssa doesn’t really like much hair on guys so the difference between him and me would be phenomenal. So, would Lyssa appreciate mister Bushy Beard, I don’t think so. And like I noted before, I don’t even think they will get the chance to go out with each other. Lyssa will probably give me a call when she gets back home tonight but I’m not hoping on it. Rather, I don’t want to get excited about nothing and Lyssa talking to me leads to nothing so I shouldn’t be content.

So from my last entry let me just wrap up my Sunday night out. Ralf was flashing the lingerie lady in the Novotel with his red beam light and she was enjoying the attention. We all gathered this lady was there for some banging, some hard banging. To tell you the truth there were heaps of hot girls leaving and entering the Novotel, all clad with short skirts and pretty faces. There was this one crazy cave girl in her 20’s that kept skating down the big hill near the beach narrowly missing cars and people. This blonde buffed up skatie chick didn’t look she cared about whatever was in front of her and at times missed cars by millimeters as she paraded down the street. My only wonder was how she actually stopped as she had no shoes on and she must have been traveling at least 60 Km/h.

Keith and Tamsen split and hid in their car, Keith was trying to get some bootie. Jett and Min-Su sat on the beachside with each other and the rest of us sat at the bottom of the beach leaning on the closest building and flashing the red beam at a group of 20 Asians. Pretty stupid you might say, yep we thought so too. Then we started shining the beam at three or four people 50 meters distant from us on the beach, they also noticed. Invention came in the form of the red beam when we discovered that shining it near plenty of seagulls would get them scared and they would fly away quickly. Deciding to take a walk to the other side of the beach we once again hid and tried to shine at the same people on the beach, more fun this time. This started to get tiring so we made our way to the main street where the bar was and looked at all the sexy girls parading their outfits.

Shawn and I got a bit adventurous and decided to go into the Novotel and try and scurry for food. Thinking that we could also knock on the door where the girl was in her lingerie we made our way into the building and up the elevator. Shawn held the elevator open as I ventured around the six levels of rooms. There was food out but to my surprise it was all eaten, all gone and no fresh food was there. This was daunting to our plans but still we had our fun. Almost getting busted by a member of their staff on one of the levels we made our way to level six where I knocked once again on the doors and placed a seat on the door so that when it was opened the chair would fling inwards. That was our Novotel fun, somewhat different to what we used to have with everyone there but these days people have no sense of adventure.

Starting to get bored of couples being obsolete to our plans I started to realize what I would have been like with Lyssa if ever I went out with them. You have to take care of your girlfriend no matter what and I understand they had to, because I’ve been there. Around midnight the club closed and a flourish of legs and boob tubes came flooding out. That was our heaven for the night as the bunch of us walked closer to the group of girls. Ralf was flashing the red beam on their ass and making most of them notice, it was funny. Tatton had disappeared for at least half an hour from when Shawn and I walked into the Novotel. From what I heard he went for a walk and then decided to be glum walking past Jett and Min-Su. Tatton was sad that they got together but to be honest, he had absolutely no chance with the attitude he has towards himself and women. When Tatton was finally seen again he sat down by himself on the grass overlooking the beach until the cars arrived.

Seated on some steps that was given to us by a girl that moved because she was scared of our appearance we watched honey’s walk past. There was this one beautiful and hot girl that walked past with the best tan, blonde hair and the shortest skirt with the longest split. If she bent over a bit you would have seen it all and the good thing about her skirt and look was that it didn’t look trampy, just hot. Another girl walked past us and jumping around I kept saying “Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy.” Looking at me she stopped and then asked “Hey, where are you from.” Replying that I was from Campbelltown I asked where she came from and after some blabbering as she was drunk she uttered “I’m from Bradbury.” Even though we had something in common we talked briefly and I tried to make fun of her being drunk. Shawn looked a bit interested but then her friend came and rescued her and they walked into the distance towards the pub.

Having our fun at the beach and viewing the last of the girls Keith and Tamsen brought their cars ready to leave. That was fine by the rest of us and as I jumped in the front of Keith’s car I told Tatton to jump in. Informing Keith that Tatton was sad because of Min-Su he jumped in the back all depressed, we didn’t say anything. Our plans were to now head for the City as Tamsen was leaving for home, she had to work. Basically, that was Keith’s sex time but he didn’t get a chance to get any, or so he says. Tamsen, Min-Su, Jett and Shawn left for home and I had a feeling that Shawn wanted to come out with us but he never got the chance.

Half way to the City Keith decided to give his car for the first time in the night. This was probably the first time he gave his turbo any effort and as a result it started to misfire. Keith decided to park his car at a petrol station so we could check out and see if there was a problem. Looking into the engine bay we couldn’t notice anything from our vantage point but I gathered that a lead could have been loose or something to do with the leads. The car started smoking heavier than usual and Keith turned his car off, things weren’t good. Not wanting to take a risk Keith decided to take his car home and he told me I should go with Simon. Not really wanting to travel with that car full of people to the City I was contemplating just going home with Keith and Tatton but decisions were bleak.
