For the next two hours after my conversation with Ralf I had a shower and something to eat so I could prepare myself for the Gym but I was having second thoughts. Not only did I still have a twitch of Hay Fever but my muscles were all tight and it didn’t feel like a good workout would be produced. Lyssa gave me a compliment when last I was with her about my body being bigger. Today on the phone she complemented on how my Biceps looked bigger than before and she also asked if I worked my abs because when I had my shirt off it seemed to her that I didn’t. That’s what I have to do, I have to start working out my Abdominals every second day so I can get them chiseled by December, one month buddy. If it only took me a month and a half to get back to my original highest weight on Bench Press imagine what I can do in the next one and a half months. Nevertheless, let me speak now of my workout that debilitated my Chest and Triceps already and it’s only been a couple of hours. Before I begin on my routine let me just note that the next page will be 350 pages, fifty more than I predicted…
Abdominals: Warming up on the bikes I took a very different approach today to my normal routine. Gathering that my working the abs first would warm me up enough for my Chest to give full effect I done two sets of 30 reps with 30 pounds on Machine Ab Crunches.
Chest: Relatively warmed up I continued onto Peck Deck and with 50 pounds performed 15 reps. Once again I performed a set with the same poundage for 15 reps and from that I moved to Pullovers. Performing 12 reps with 30 pounds I moved straight to Bench Press and was ready to pounce on 160 pounds. Loading the bar I received a spot and from what he told me I hammered out 6 reps on my own and then we finished up on 9 reps. Weakened by the effort I performed a cool down set on Seated Machine Bench Press with 60 pounds for 12 reps and then tried my luck again with Bench Press. Setting the weight back up to 160 pounds I was spotted once more and this time I was told that I practically performed the 10 reps on my own with little of his help but I believe he was giving a bit of help. That’s good news though, I’m going to head up to 165 pounds next workout.
Moving to Incline Dumbbell Press I picked up 60 pounders for the first time and performed 6 reps. Dropping them I paused and picking up 55 pounders performed 5 more reps. Moving now to Peck Deck with 130 pounds ( A big new weight) I could hardly squeeze the rods together but by cheating I performed 6 reps. Lowering the weight to 120 pounds I got a couple more before conking out. Next on the Agenda was Seated Machine Bench Press and with 140 pounds I performed 5 reps then I took it down to 120 pounds and achieved 4 more reps. The reps were low but the weight was maximum as I now headed to assisted Dips. Placing only 30 pounds assistance I performed 4 reps but conking out I increased the assistance to perform a couple more reps. Last on the list was Pullovers and with only one set of 10 excruciatingly reps to do 60 pounds was enough for the task.
Back: Figuring my energy would still be up and it had been for some time I done a warm-up with 40 pounds on Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns and concluded 12 reps. Moving to 80 pounds I was surprised to finish off 12 reps fairly easily so I tried it once more after some rest and only managed 6 reps. Moving to Wide Grip Pull-ups I couldn’t even achieve one good rep with heaps of assistance so you can gather I’m either shit at this exercise or I was very fatigued. Seated Cable Rows was next and after a warm-up I performed 12 moderate reps with 120 pounds. Pausing I once again performed 12 reps with ease. Last on the agenda for the back was One Arm Dumbbell Rows and deciding to take it a step further I pumped 10 reps from each arm with 70 pounders.
Biceps: Deciding once again to mix up the routine a bit I started with a warm-up on Standing Cable Curls and with 30 pounds I performed 12 reps. Moving to E-Z Preacher Cable Curls I notched up 10 reps with 30 pounds. Moving to Seated Alternate Dumbbell Curls with 35 pounders I could only manage 5 reps but as I picked up 30 pounders soon after I stood up and watched my Biceps flare in the mirror as I continued past my breaking point of fatigue to finish 10 strenuous reps. My last set was Reverse Standing Cable Curls and with 30 pounds I performed 10 reps for my forearms before heading home at closing time.
Mum made me a big dinner as usual and I only finished it about two hours after it was made. The reason is that people kept calling me and by the way, the time is now 8:44 p.m. because I’ve stopped and started regularly on this Diary. Every now and then I stop when I get tired of writing or someone calls me and it’s not worth starting an new entry just for that. So, I’ve been here typing away, eating and talking to people over the span of three hours or less, cool.
Lyssa called me again at 6:00 p.m. and she told me why she had to leave on our last call, Kiley came over her house. Lyssa kept her company for an hour and when she left Lyssa and Penelope made their way to Macarthur Square to look around and up there they noticed a guy from Manpower. Asking what Lyssa was up to for her night I gathered that she would be heading to Chevy’s, she’s going in with Penelope. The both of us then talked about prices of Night Clubs and I was shocked to find that most places on Oxford Street are between $15 and $30 for admission. Lyssa and I talked for about half an hour but after that I had to go because my dinner was waiting for me to eat it and Lyssa had to leave to have something to eat also. We gathered that we wouldn’t be talking to each other again for tonight so Lyssa will probably wake me up again tomorrow from sleep.
Ralf gave me a call tonight at 7:30 p.m. from his house. At this moment Ralf is celebrating Halloween and his mum’s birthday with a couple of family guests at his house but when that is over he wants to visit ‘Meridian’ a Night Club in Hurstville. He’s supposedly calling Keith and Ralf or has called them already but it’s been half an hour now and I’ve received no reply. Tonight could go either way but I’m putting my money on someone coming to pick me up tonight, Keith, Ralf or even Shawn with Tatton’s car. Lyssa has most probably left already to head for Chevy’s now, all I have to do is brush my hair as I’ve had a shower a little while ago. This is the last entry for this month though and hasn’t this month been a big one. As you can see, the more action the more pages I write of and to be totally honest I didn’t think today’s entry would exceed over five pages but here we have doubled it. Before I leave this entry let me leave with a Confucius saying that I made up.
Every day I wake up, I eat, I sleep, I wear my charm, I have faith and I communicate. To me life is an everyday thing and to think for the future is a hope for today.
