May 30, 2026. 10:00 p.m. at the gym.
Time to make it live
At 10 p.m. I arrived at the gym, which gave me a chance to test my PB Tracker app live once again. I think when I get home I should continue working on making the app live and publishing it to Google Play with premium features enabled. If I can maybe get a few testers, namely my friends, to help me with the app, then it’s going to be possible.
To begin with, I don’t think many people are going to download it, but it’ll give me a foothold so that I can work on a second version in the future. Maybe I can get 100 people to download it. I don’t know who I’m competing with in the market. I should have done some market research. Maybe that’s what I should get Claude AI to do next.
Idea one: machine settings
Going between machines, I thought there could be a setting or notes for machines. At the bench press you don’t know what height you’re supposed to put the bar at. At leg extension or leg press, you don’t know how far to move the seat. So there could be custom settings per machine: how high is the bar, how low is the seat, how wide do your legs go. It’s like a power user setting.
Idea two: personal bests where you log
The other idea was to merge the personal best tab with the gym session tab. When I record a set by voice, I don’t want to go back to the personal best tab to see what my best is.
What I want is that after my first set of pec deck, the exercise shows a small square in some color, maybe yellow or green, with my personal best for it, so I can do it all directly from the voice session builder.
Then, fittingly, I did a new PB: 75 kilos on pec deck for eight reps.
