A Night Of Rebirth

Arise great Tony and the confidence that thou shalt hold within. Let emerge this greatness again, to break chastity and condemn this self-consciousness from such a righteous path. Tonight, after a grueling day at work I finally found my true self, my old self, my spirit and such effervescence of life. Tonight I had the best time of my new era’s life. Ironically, since Lyssa and I broke up, tonight was the first night I explored new domain, and it took a nightclub to conjure it. One of my best nights at a nightclub, met everyone there including Lyssa.

I think that my finally seeing Lyssa at a nightclub and getting her stamp of approval meant I could finally let loose and believe me, I could feel it for the rest of the night. Freedom from such chains of anguish, the mortality of feeling guilt and finally, I have barred those chains upon themselves. Not only did Lyssa compliment me tonight upon my dancing but Constantine also wanted to know if I was single because she had just broken up with her boyfriend. Seeing Lyssa’s ease in the situation I was grateful than any contrite appetite was lost and for some time, we danced the night away…

You would not believe the backlog of work I have to complete in the pages of these memoirs. There are over eight pages of notes, three of them just on last night. Therefore, you can imagine that my writing from Tuesday through to tonight’s current events will be more than a challenge this weekend, much more. Count also my will to want to head out somewhere on Friday or Saturday night simply because I want to carry on the fun from tonight. Let tonight be my new beginning.

New Friends And New Confidence

Having joined so many people together including Anders, Johnnie’s friends and my friends, I have a feeling it can only get better. Johnnie and I were in talks tonight about plans for the City next weekend which I’m pretty sure Yannis and Travis will head to. Opening up borders otherwise obscured, that’s what I’m trying to do. This new image and this new confidence can’t be brought down by people like Keith or Ralf’s silly antics. Therefore, expanding my friendships with people who mix better with me is my best option and joining Johnnie to our plans is the first step.

Let this day be known, the 16th of July 1999 as the rebirth of a lost generation of willingness. Of a brave confidence once had and lost until it has been found with renewed strength and maturity. Tonight is a show of the things to come, my taking the plans by the reigns and creating such memorable nights. I’m not going to depend on Keith to fuck the plans up or Ralf to drive me insane once there, I need people that can have fun without hassles.

Ace, his brother, Shawn, Tyler and Binh as well as people who I can add to such rebirth. Such as Anders, Johnnie, Travis and Yannis. Tonight, my confidence was so high almost right through the night that my dancing was to say the least, in my eyes, phenomenal. The smile on my faced matched the envious adoration of how Ace could pick up the chicks with his confident smile. Tonight the rolls had reversed and I didn’t need spiked and streaked hair like Ricky Martin to do it.

Just my normal hair and some great clothes coupled with my increasing confidence, so well deserved. Anyway, I am heaps tired after trying to remember and write down all the facts of the night, or most of them. Tomorrow when I wake up I will try and write down everything before Jett heads over with his Playstation. After that, I will dwell on my memories, probably expect a call from Lyssa and then struggle with chronology…

Memoirs Before Playstation Day

Saturday 10:22 a.m.

Less than six hours of sleep and still kicking but how does that differ from any other night this month. The best sleep I’ve received probably was last weekend when I slept in for eight to nine hours, ah it was great. No such luck for me tonight as I’ll either be out or intensely depicting within these pages, the events that happened almost for my whole week.

The need to take a day off just to catch up in my memoirs is also increasing but right now, it’s only an idea. In regards to time, I only have an hour and a half before Jett shows up at my house with his Playstation so I’d better make this a durable entry. In best result, I’ll probably only get to speak of the moments before going out, knowing my descriptive and detailed push for prose. Nothing but quality from these lips do hear, and as such, let me begin…

Shawn Wants My Old Boots

Carrying the burden of my night’s depiction from my arriving home Friday night from work, I had no clue on what the night held for me. Walking in my door hurriedly, knowing that Ralf and Shawn were headed to the City for some birthday party, I figured there wasn’t enough people left over to make something good happen. Mum came downstairs and handed me a large bowl of spaghetti to my appreciative flat stomach and whilst downstairs she noted that Shawn had called me.

Wondering why he would possibly calling I gave him a ring back almost immediately, half-heartedly optimistic. Getting past small talk the true reason of Shawn’s call emerged, he wanted to borrow my old boots to head out for the night. “I told you to keep them last weekend,” I noted to him and as I invited him over I also mentioned that he had to keep the shoes now.

The planning for the night had been otherwise shot and even as I wanted to head out, the burden of these memoirs was looming on my mind. Despite these congestive thoughts, Shawn came over minutes later in his mum’s car as I had to quickly turn off my computer before his arrival. Making an entrance into my room, Shawn and I started in idle chat about the night. Advising me that he was heading to a bar called Bridie O’Reillys I noted that it was just down the street from where I worked.

Keith Muscles In On Tyler

“What are you doing for tonight” Shawn asked and deciding to lie about my intentions instead of telling him that I couldn’t be bothered for anything, I noted the Catholic Club. “I’ll probably ring up Tyler later tonight to see if he wants to head down to the Catholic Club and from there we’ll think about going to Chevy’s”. Shawn then thought to note “Tonight’s going to be shit, it’s just going to be me, Ralf and a bunch of homies”.

Seeing that Shawn was wearing his new club clothes I could see where his dislike came from. What I didn’t expect was for Shawn to turn around, dog Ralf and decide to come out with me. Suddenly I had a mutiny on my hands and was now forced to think about plans for the night. Having not been written in gold, I was still enthusiastic upon staying home but the thought of having a good night had my staying home overridden.

Giving Tyler’s phone a call to see what his plans were for the night, I caught him at work. However, as I started speaking to him my phone received call waiting and as Keith answered the phone he asked “You’re talking to Tyler aren’t you”. Revealing the fact that he was with Tyler my thoughts turned sour that Keith was going to head out with us or even exist in the picture. “Tyler and I are going to the Catholic Club and then to Chevy’s tonight” Keith uttered as I still had Tyler on call waiting. This nerved me to know Keith was making plans as his plans do shatter so easily.

Hanging up on Keith and continuing my conversation with Tyler, I informed him that I would head out to the Catholic Club with them. “Who’s picking me up,” I asked as Tyler told me he was getting a lift down but no worries, Keith stepped up. Before hanging up the phone in our cocky conversation I asked Tyler if Shawn could lend one of his jackets, as he didn’t want to tuck in his shirt at the Catholic Club. Bad enough it was that I asked but it was worse that Shawn didn’t even get to use it come the end of our night.

Measuring Up Against Shawn

With plans on the brink now we were content with a night in Campbelltown as we began idle conversation about clubs in the City. Noting to Shawn that Linh had told me ‘The Cave’ was alright, we spun off into a spin about ‘Rogues’ nightclub and how we will head into the city. Before he left he got interested in my rubber belt, asking if he could try it on with the black Hound Dog pants he had on.

“You don’t need a belt with those pants” I told him as they were tight enough already, “But when they stretch, you might”. To my shock, when Shawn put on the belt he could only get it into the second last hole and to me, the pants are still a touch loose on the last hole. “You’re not serious are you” I stammered, “Is that your belt size”. “Yeah” he laughed “But I have a beer gut to take care of”.

There was no large pot belly of sorts but the once skinny Shawn who still had a skinny appearance had a sizeable amount of love handles hanging from the side of his waist. Trying on the belt myself as Shawn didn’t believe that I was skinnier, I pulled the belt further than the comfortable spacing of the last hole, maybe another two inches. Therefore, I have around five inches less around the waist than Shawn.
