Time Flies Again

How time flies in these hours of eve that in my twilight I do not hesitate to sleep and in these focal days, I ponder over lapsed time. These hours upon work do grow fast through the day and ere long, I am bidding my exit to head home. The time of day and my already being halfway into this month phases me so.

Much worth I have forgotten that in it I have mistaken the Austin Powers debut to have been for next Thursday when in reality it opens tonight. Therefore, I miss out on the premier night but I will go out and see it on Saturday night or on the weekend. Lyssa should be up there tonight watching Austin Powers as that’s one of the little topics we chatted about whilst I was at her house but more on that in the forthcoming pages.

Just to quickly note some factors tethered to this month. First, on Monday it will be the remembrance of when Lyssa and I began going out two years ago. It should be interesting to see if Lyssa and I will actually talk on that day but I can only keep myself posted. Then there is the case of Centrelink still not having a clue that I have a job and adding to that injury, they are still entitled to pay me.

Therefore, I gave my form to Binh who came over tonight handing me the necklace he was selling me for $45. Binh handed the form to Shawn and hopefully it will get handed in tomorrow. That brings me to the point of tax time at the end of this month. I should be getting my certificates of how much money I have earned with Centrelink and I know I’ll be pushing it with this extra pay but I think I’m still under the threshold.

Apart from those little pointers I have none to say but to note that it has been a great and gregarious month thus far. I have been to clubs, movies and I have been with friends and now a companion. Work has kept me busy but relaxed as each day I celebrate a newfound conversation and a new face to remember. Yeah babe, I’m on an uprise and I think you’d better recognize.

A Chain From Binh

Today is the first week in around two weeks that I have worn my ‘Golden T’ around my neck but I regret to say that the new chain feels foreign around my throat. Not too long after I came back home from work today Binh and Tyler dropped over, tapping lightly on my window. Allowing them in Binh had the chain ready to give to me. Now if you aren’t up to date with the happenings (Which you aren’t), about a week ago I noticed Binh’s chain around his neck and thinking it to look decent I asked if he would sell it to me.

Binh denied me that opportunity but he told me that he had a chain almost equal to it at home. Anyway, Binh finally came over my house last night trying to sell me the chain because he needed the money but I didn’t like the length of it. In addition, I didn’t like the way it sat on me and despite it being a skinny chain where I would normally like it, it didn’t sit like my other chain.

Binh didn’t want to pass the opportunity of getting money over as he told me he would get it cut down to size and as we measured the chain to be chopped of ten centimeters he was back on his way home. Little did I know that he would get it done so soon and come back over today to redeem his prize money. Taking advantage of the situation and Keith being at the ‘Offspring’ concert I asked if Binh could deliver my Centrelink form to Shawn.

Handing him over $45 for the gold chain I knew I was parting with my weekend money but I also knew that I couldn’t let Binh down a second time, I felt obligated. Now I only have enough money to watch ‘Austin Powers’, head to the Gym once and have a tad of money left over for the weekend. If worst comes to worst I’ll take out some money for work in hopes that it will all come back on Monday when I get paid by Centrelink, here’s hoping.

Not Quite My Golden T

Now getting back to the topic of this new chain, I don’t really consider it a regaining of my fate and faith charm, (More on the side of fate). Rather, I see wearing this chain with my ‘Golden T’ as a temporary alternative to wearing nothing at all and feeling wholly empty of my character charm. These building days of monotony around my neck have to now cease and despite the knowledge that this object is considered foreign, I grace it whole-heartedly.

To use a metaphor and to draw parallels, it feels like I’ve weaned from my mother’s nipple and for the meantime it has been replaced with a bottle of milk with a rubber nipple. I’m getting milk but it’s not the same feeling and far from the authenticity. Being without my genuine chain and golden T feels like suckling from a baby bottle and when I depart of wean from this half-borne fate I will regain my dignity and pride of being myself again, my true self…

Long Weekend Plans

Heading now to my explanation of Monday, let the games begin. Monday morning was my first taste of a long weekend and as I slept in until 10:30 a.m. I was rather enjoying my extra day of comfort. Watching some television, a shower and something to eat later the time arrived to midday and I, still without something to do decided upon calling Keith.

There was no agenda for the day but to catch up on my chronology but I knew that there had to be some kind of plan otherwise I would have wasted my day of relaxing. Considering that nothing happened on Sunday, we didn’t go out on Saturday night and Chevy’s was the only thing pumping on Friday night, I had to get out of the house despite the chilly weather.

Keith wasn’t doing anything when I decided upon giving him a call which made it easier for the both of us to make plans. Lazing around just like I was, Keith suggested that he pick me up in an hour’s time so I could watch the Football game between Brisbane Broncos and North Sydney on his Foxtel connection. That sounded great to me as I wanted to see Brisbane win another one and get back on their feet to redeem their former glory. Accordingly, a plan was made to pick me up after an hour which gave me just enough time to quickly jot down everything I could here.

Footy At Keith’s House

When it was just past 1:00 p.m. I heard Keith’s car out the front and knew that it was time to quickly finish what I was typing and switch off the computer. Inviting Keith into my house first I got dressed in warm woolies and then we headed to Keith’s car. Driving to Keith’s house he parked his car in the garage and we quickly scurried into the house as we couldn’t bear to stand out in the winter breeze.

I’m not sure how cold it was last year or the year before but I can assure you that this year I am keeping a mental note at the freezing temperatures and so far it has been as low as seven degrees. Making our way into Keith’s house he ushered me straight to his room so I wouldn’t have to chat with his parents. That didn’t matter however as his little cousin who is probably 10 (His dad’s nephew) was jumping all around the house.

As the little kid with ADD was hopping around Keith’s dad had the case of usual austerity about his voice. Then there was Keith’s mum who walked into his room to lecture him about how high to turn on the heater, how long to leave it on and not to touch it while she was gone. It was as if Keith was still ten years old and I thought it was funny how he was just sitting there going along with it, hoping that she would walk away soon and thinking “God you’re embarrassing”.

Keith’s parents left with his little cousin not too long after the Football game started but having the house to ourselves didn’t really change much. The only thing that heightened was my cheering through the game as Brisbane kept scoring, opening a can of ‘Whoop Ass’ on the North’s. Whilst watching the game Keith informed me that a couple of people were heading to the Catholic Club for a Trivia night thing, asking if I wanted to go along.

Finding Time For The Diary

Sounding like a plan to me I had to shift the times in which I would type on my computer, making it harder on myself to find time for these pages. However, I wasn’t going to sacrifice a whole night to the pages in this diary. I knew that there would come a day when I would finally catch up on it all and it wouldn’t have to take anything away from my everyday living.

Today seems to be that day and even if it wasn’t, I could probably leave this diary for a week before I would start forgetting key points, maybe a week and a half. Nevertheless, I would forget almost completely if I didn’t remind myself each night with little pointers of the important parts of my day so what have you…

Back To Binh’s Shop

With the Football game over and the Broncos winning 26-8 I felt light the exalted ruler of my pride. The time must have been 3:30 p.m. when the game finished as we jumped back into Keith’s car and headed to Binh’s shop. Now I might have gotten this wrong in past chronology but Monday was the actual day when Keith got his $20 for betting against Binh that Bulldogs would beat Parramatta.

Reaching Binh’s shop it was the first point of topic for Keith as he was eager to gain money that he hadn’t earned. This money to Keith would have been worth more than normal because it would have made him feel omnipotent, we all know Keith, glutton for gambling. Whilst at Binh’s shop I questioned him about the gold chain and when I would be receiving it. This is where Binh told me that he would be getting the chain appraised and from there he would inform me how much it would be worth.

Anyway, to cut a long depiction short, we chatted about our night at the Catholic Club and as the time was 4:30 p.m. and we had to be ready by 6:00 p.m. it was time to head home. Upon reaching home I knew that there would be no time to write in my diary as I had to have a shower and get ready so I just wrote some notes and prepared myself for coming back home late.
