Tagging Along to the Bakery

From Keith’s house we headed to his bakery shop around 4:30 p.m. Nevertheless, Keith sounded like he didn’t want us to tag along asking if we liked to get dropped off home. However, after Keith offered for us to come along wording it as “You can come along if you want but I don’t see the point” Shawn and I decided it would be in our best interests. Knowing that the most of the topic would be about Phoenix and how Binh is getting all squeamish about her I knew I wanted to see him sweat and get ashamed in front of our faces.

What I found worrying when we arrived is how Keith bent his thoughts to what he thought the will of Binh was regarding Phoenix. When he spoke of Phoenix he tried not to demean her as all of us would because as Keith knows Binh, he’ll probably develop feelings for her like Imad did. When Keith remarked “Just tell her you love her and she’ll be on her hands and knees for you” I knew he only said it because he knew Binh would head towards that direction.

In Keith’s eyes, he gathered that Binh would have too much sympathy and respect for Phoenix to just (Pardon the French) fuck her and chuck her. What I found disturbing was how Binh uttered “Yeah I’m going to root her and I might end up going out with her but I’ll never fall in love with her”. Yeah right! Next thing you know after a week they will have been engaged to be married. So again, who is the victim and who is being victimized in this new relationship, the fist or the fury.

Keith and the Bowling Ball

Other dramas apart from Phoenix in that visit was a bowling ball found in the long grass just down the road by a younger friend of Binh’s who comes to the shop. The bowling ball was 13 pounds and as Keith is with all bargains, when the young kid offered to sell it for $2 Keith jumped at the idea. “Alright, I’ll buy it but Binh will pay for it” he uttered and then it got more stupid when they both offered to halve for it.

Eventually Binh just ended up giving the kid something to eat from the store which entitled him owner to the ball but you could tell that Keith’s greedy hands wanted to get his hands onto some easy profit. Keith didn’t want the ball because he was going to bowl with it. Rather, Keith wanted the bowling ball because he could sell it for an easy $10. Money, money, money, only the green matters to Keith and I don’t even touch the tip of the corner or even look like falling off that notion of Keith’s greed.

There is no second place to Keith’s character than to his greed for money. What’s more, if he has people owing him or if he steals money (Say from work) then he feels all the more powerful and like his own king for doing it. Earning money isn’t enough for him, he wants those stolen sweets and dangling solvency waving in his gluttonous face. If ever there was a vice, there would be no rest for his vile thoughts and his greedy wickedness.

Plans I Was Left Out Of

Keeping ourselves at Binh’s store for around 45 minutes Keith decided to head home so he could get ready for the night. The plans (Which neither myself nor Shawn were included in) were for Binh, Tyler and Keith to head to the Catholic Club where they would play snooker for the night. Keith urged Binh to invite Phoenix so they could even up the odds and so Binh could get accustomed to her but I knew that Keith only wanted to see if Phoenix would lust after him again.

Keith went from “I feel repulsed every time I think of Phoenix now” to eerie thoughts projected into my mind, telling me that Keith still wants Phoenix, he wants a root. Nevertheless, those were their plans for the night and as Shawn was dropped off he uttered something about meeting them at the Catholic Club but he never did. I was thinking of heading down there myself if Shawn had gone but when I arrived home good news permitted me to stay home.

Odette Calls Back

Odette, oh Odette, what an adorning name that indeed. Her name so have I heard these past few days, to reconcile my prospects for work, and how wondrous a job she hath done. When arriving home I got news that I had received a call at 4:00 p.m. by Odette. Remembering that she was from Ottoline Vance Temping Agency I gave that number a call hoping she was still available at 5:30 p.m.

To my luck, she was still at work, waiting patiently for me to give her a call that afternoon, how nice. Within our conversation she told me about a job that she had lined up for me which required someone ASAP. Being the sort of position I was looking for she explained a bit about the company, how it was a large insurance company in the City and it had great chance for promotion.

Odette faxed my résumé away to them and it so appealed to them that they wanted to have an interview with me. However, because it was so late in the day Odette told me she would call me very early on Tuesday morning. Therefore, with our conversation finished and my hopes high to the fact that I was the only one contending for the position, I readied myself for some early sleep on Monday night. For the rest of the night I had something to eat, watched television and then at midnight or just past it I got myself the early sleep needed.

Girls and Style

Oh man, these tired eyes always forbid me to reach the hindmost of my chronology. There is still today’s great adventure and fortuitous adventures that I need write about but as I noted, my eyes do grow tired and sleep does not need be deprived of me. However there are two more points I may muster before these scriptures cease for another night. Firstly, Keith told me today while we were at Macarthur Square that I look at girls 24/7.

Now I know he speaks the truth because I know myself that I never take my eyes off a beautiful girl if I am out and about. True beauty before my eyes is different to a magazine picture of a movie with a naked girl, pragmatic beauty isn’t surreal. There is no cure for my problem but I do remember that with my own diagnosis I came up with a name for my phobia, the name I am uncertain of.

Despite that, we shall move onto our second point. The word style, I like it a lot and with this new means to a means, I will be more flamboyant in my personal appearance. With new suits, stylish shoes and clothes from the more vogue stores, I will hoist and uphold my new look. Fresh with new clothes, a new haircut, highlights, contact lenses and a ripped body by the year 2000. Yep, I will take pride in the word ‘Style’ as I will, of it all be produced…
