Knights Peasants and a Slow Gym Day (Part 1) – Mad Chaos: February 4, 1999

Knights Guard the Small Hours

The hour grows older in this early morn and these guarding Knights with courage do watch over thee. These peasants that fleetingly perish for my humanities shall by these Soldier’s arms be steadied. That they control the flow of peasants in my time, and as I scribe here, shall Soldiers in phalanx bear peasants to more nobler Knights. Such is that two Knights will make the worth of my night. And are not these two Knights the equal of these hoarded peasants, that outweigh tenfold of six to these soldiers afoot. It is I that weigh the threshold of these vassals and indeed, the actions of these mounted pawns.

For these hours that to their names attend, shall these minutes and seconds gratify. Was’t not for this drudgery of time, so orderly with orderliness, shall not I mark these hours with Knights, these minutes with soldiers and peasants to seconds. Thus, this order on my life hath bestowed, and to fear one Prince too many might wither my being, shall I ere show my worth. ‘Tis not for these vassals and nobler key, that I chose my worth show and show worth’s be. Thus, I’th to, but in myself, show my worth, not for structured time but within his girth.

Biorhythms and Flat Moods

After that burst of poetical thought speaking in array of a prior Sonnet of mine I must note that the last couple of days have been on the borderline when we speak of mental energy. They have just been over the zero point when it comes on a scale of -10 to 10. Friday is supposed to be the start of my poetical flair according to my studies in the biorhythm cycles so far but right now I don’t feel like it’s going to come to me.

Around two weeks ago I was feeling pretty much like shit and it felt as if I was drained in all three aspects. Slowly I have been getting out of that hole and the past week has been fairly borderline. But, with the newly written Sonnet and other poems I am showing some signs of getting back into the groove that comes to me every second lot of sixteen days.

Although my positive mental cycle doesn’t begin until around the 9th of this month I would like to prove myself right in hoping that I will find my flair on Friday. Thus, I can pick up the second deliberation of ‘The Lost Years Sonnets’ and more figurative, literal and metaphorical speech will be tried. Alas, time is engineering these peasants to scurry all the quicker for my actions and for this I must hurry my actions to the clockwork of time. One who is attuned with Time’s engineer shall show no haste in his actions, only glorified patience.

Oversleeping Wednesday

Wednesday for me was an odd bag of assorted goodies. The day for me could have started earlier than usual as I woke up around 1:00 p.m. but for my tired eye’s sake I slept once again. Shock did play my hand and curt my perception when I did awake a second time, only to find the time was 2:30 p.m. I fell once again to a state of sleep that I felt I did need, only for a short while longer. Once again did my eyes glisten with awe and gasp at the verity of time’s hand being upon 4:00 p.m.

Feeling as if languor had been drained with such that came with the stupor realizing time’s rightful tick I jumped up. Heading upstairs I was glad that there was fresh food upon the table and gratified as I was, I embellished. Having myself a shower I sat watching news until 5:30 p.m. then I got myself ready for the Gym. Today I didn’t feel as drained as I had on Monday’s workout due to good nourishment but I was somewhat satisfied at my performance in the Gym.

Back Day Begins

For one, I took way too long in between sets but I guess there comes a sacrifice with heavy weights. Then there’s the fact that I became too fatigued to work my abdominals fully once again but that came because too much time was spent in the Gym. For my back exercises I should lower the weight by 10 or 20 pounds and just concentrate on upping the pace. For my Chest I should remain the same because it keeps showing significant gains with what I am doing now and it’s not showing much signs of over-training or boredom. Anyway, here now is my workout for Wednesday…

Back: Starting with two minutes on the bike I made my way to a warm-up on Neutral Grip Lat Pull downs. Taking the weight up to 150 pounds I began and found it easy to complete 12 reps. Moving now to Close Grip Lat Pull downs with 160 pounds I once again pulled down 10 reps. Moving now to Reverse Grip Lat Pull downs with 160 pounds I pounded out 12 good reps. What I’ve realized so far with my workout is that I’ve been 10 pounds under my best weight but considering I’m back from a very short layoff, it’s quite alright.

For my next set I tried some Wide Grip Lat Pull downs but finding it troubling I moved to Neutral Grip Lat Pull downs and with 140 pounds took it down 6 times. Taking the weight down to a further 120 pounds I performed a remaining 4 reps. Next on the agenda was Straight arm pull downs and with 70 pounds I completed 12 reps. Taking my leave to Lat Pushdowns with 220 pounds I completed 15 reps.

Moving now to the second half of my back workout I began on Seated Cable Rows and after a warm-up I set the weight to 150 pounds and completed 10 reps. After a pause I took the weight down to 140 pounds opting for another 10 reps. Moving now to One Arm Dumbbell Rows with 70 pounds I completed 12 reps per hand and then went on to do another set of 10 reps. My last set, although not directly for the back was Dumbbell Shoulder Press. Picking out 45 pounders I completed 15 reps, I was happy.

Triceps and Tired Abs

Triceps: Starting with Triceps Kickbacks as there was some good looking women around this area at the time I completed a set of 15 reps with 15 pounds per arm. Moving now to Triceps Pushdowns with 80 pounds I caused the stack to move 10 times. Moving now to Lying Triceps Cable Extensions I completed 10 reps with 65 pounds. Lastly I moved to Overhead Dumbbell Press and trying 70 pounds for the first time I could only perform 6 reps and with less motion than most times. For that I stripped the weight down to 55 pounds and completed 8 reps.

Abdominals: Right about when I arrived at the machines I thought to do a warm-up with minimal weight on the Ab Crunches Machine but after 6 reps I knew I was exhausted and couldn’t get enough energy for it. Trying also Low Ab Crunches I could only invent 10 reps out of my efforts. One last try did I give on the Ab Crunch Machine and with my usual 40 pounds I was surprised that I completed 30 reps.

Friends at the Gym

Upon coming home from the Gym I had something more to eat out of the abundance of food and when I was full I made my way back down here. Now, having just been speaking about the Gym I might as well point out that I had seen a fair few people there. For one, I saw that guy whom I can’t remember his name but he’s Kuper’s friend. We chatted every time we passed each other and it was pretty frequent. On top of that I chatted with Maddox upon passing me and he told me how himself and Jett were starting at the Gym on Friday.

Redd and Pepsi were also there but I didn’t get to chat to them as they looked busy and so was I. Then there was the tall guy who almost had a fight with Lucas back at Nadia’s party. I’m pretty sure his name’s Kobi who hangs out with Hudson and the rest of them. It was his first time at the Gym and as he had seen me he made his way over to say hello, have his piece to say. That was pretty much it for seeing people.
